Product Usage Instructions

Placing the Respirator:

Place the respirator over your nose and mouth with the bottom straps unfastened.

Securing the Straps:

Pull the top strap over your head, placing the head cradle on the crown of your head. Hook the bottom straps together behind your neck.

Perform a User Seal Check:

Before using in a contaminated area, perform a user seal check  according to U.S. OSHA standard 29CFR 1910.134 or local regulations.

Positive Pressure User Seal Check:

Place your hand over the exhalation valve cover and exhale gently. The facepiece should bulge slightly.

Negative Pressure User Seal Check:

– Using Particulate Filters: Inhale gently with thumbs over filter centers. – Using Cartridges: Inhale gently with palms over cartridges.

Adjusting Strap Tension:

Adjust strap tension by pulling the ends to achieve a secure fit. Do not over- tighten. Strap tension can be decreased by pushing out on buckles.

Using Hard Case Particulate Filters:

Squeeze filter covers toward facepiece to restrict airflow. Inhale gently; the facepiece should collapse slightly.

User Instructions

  1. Place the respirator over your nose and mouth with bottom straps unfastened. 1
  2. Pull the top strap over your head, placing the head cradle on the crown of your head.
  3. Hook the bottom straps together behind your neck.
  4. Adjust strap tension to achieve a secure fit. Pull the ends of the straps to adjust the tightness beginning with the adjustment points at the top of the respirator and then moving to the adjustment points at the back of the neck. Do not over-tighten. Strap tension may be decreased by pushing out on back side of buckles

Perform a User Seal Check

Before assigning any respirator to be worn in a contaminated area, a qualitative or quantitative fit test must be performed per U.S. OSHA standard 29CFR 1910.134 or local requirements

Positive Pressure User Seal Check

  • Place the palm of your hand over the exhalation valve cover and exhale gently. The facepiece should bulge slightly. If air leaks between the face and the face seal of the respirator, reposition it and adjust the straps for a more secure seal.*

Negative Pressure User Seal Check

  • Using Particulate Filters
    Place your thumbs over the center of the filters and inhale gently. The facepiece should collapse slightly. If air leaks between the face and the faceseal of the respirator, reposition it and adjust the straps for a more secure seal.*

  • Using Cartridges
    Place the palms of your hands over the cartridges and inhale gently. The facepiece should collapse slightly. If air leaks between the face and the faceseal of the respirator, reposition it and adjust the straps for a more secure seal.*

  • Using Hard Case Particulate Filters
    Squeeze filter covers with hands toward the facepiece to restrict airflow. Be careful not to disturb the position of the respirator. Inhale gently. The facepiece should collapse slightly. If air leaks between the face and the faceseal, reposition it and adjust the straps for a tighter seal.*

These respirators help protect against certain airborne contaminants. Before use, the wearer must read and understand the User Instructions provided as a part of the product packaging. A written respiratory protection program must be implemented meeting all the requirements of OSHA 1910.134 including training, testing and medical evaluation. In Canada, CSA standards Z94.4 requirements must be met and/or requirements of the applicable jurisdiction, as appropriate. Misuse may result in sickness or death.
