Installation Instructions

Mounting Bracket Installation:

  1. Attach the mounting bracket to the desired location using the
    provided screws.

  2. Ensure the bracket is level using a torpedo level and then
    tighten the screws securely.

Nitrous Oxide Separator Installation:

  1. Secure the separator to the mounting bracket through the
    provided holes using a 7/16 socket and socket wrench.

Plumbing Installation:

  1. Install adaptors by turning each adaptor 1/4 turn using an
    adjustable wrench.

  2. Attach hoses by placing small hose clamps onto the hoses and
    twisting them onto the PVC adaptors.

  3. Tighten clamps using a flathead screwdriver.

  4. Connect the air discharge vent to the outside using the
    provided PVC pipe and fittings.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Can the nitrous oxide separator be mounted far away from the

vacuum pump?

A: No, the separator should be mounted near the vacuum pump,
with the center of the vacuum exhaust inlet no more than 2 feet
above the bottom of the vacuum pump.

Q: What type of tools/supplies are needed for

installation?

A: You will need a socket wrench, torpedo level, 7/16 socket,
PVC primer & glue, flathead screwdriver, thread sealant tape,

OVERVIEW
A standard 2-inch no-hub coupling on air discharge vent eliminates need for any adapter and allows direct hookup to a standard vent pipe.
Water trap is inside, making plugging virtually impossible.
Entire separator is made of PVC corrosion-proof plastic.
Separator should be mounted near vacuum pump, with center of vacuum exhaust inlet no more than 2 feet above bottom of vacuum pump.
NOTE: This product should be installed by a competent technician or plumber. The installation should meet all local health and plumbing codes.This device requires a separate atmospheric vent for maximum safety and effectiveness. Compatible with all single or dual water injected vacuum pumps. Parts provided for unit to be adapted to 1″ or 1½” vacuum exhausts.

INSTALL MOUNTING BRACKET
1. Attach mounting bracket to desired location.
a. If mounting to a wall stud, use two (2) installersupplied screws (FIG 1A).
b. If mounting to a wall with no stud, use three (3) installer-supplied screws/anchors (FIG 1B).
c. Level mounting bracket using a torpedo level, then tighten screws (FIG 1A & 1B).
NOTE: Separator should be mounted near vacuum pump, with center of vacuum exhaust inlet no more than 2 feet above bottom of vacuum pump.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

INSTALL NITROUS OXIDE SEPARATOR
1. Align four (4) through holes on top and bottom of nitrous oxide separator with four (4) PEM® nuts on mounting bracket (FIG 2).
2. Attach nitrous oxide separator to mounting bracket with four (4) hex bolts 1/4-20 × 1½”, hand tight. Finish tightening by turning a 1/4 to 1/2 turn using a 7/16″ socket and socket wrench (FIG 3).

INSTALL PLUMBING
1. Install adaptors (FIG 4).
a. Apply thread sealant tape to male threads of PVC adaptor 1″ MPT × 1″ shank. Install into drain line PVC adaptor (bottom left). Hand tighten.
b. Apply thread sealant tape to male threads of PVC adaptor 1½” MPT × 1½” shank. Install into vacuum exhaust inlet PVC elbow (top right). Hand tighten.
c. Complete tightening by turning each adaptor 1/4 turn using an adjustable wrench.
NOTE: PVC reducing bushing 1½” MPT to 1″ FPT and extra PVC adaptor 1″ MPT × 1″ shank provided for vacuum exhaust inlet (top right), if needed, to match vacuum exhaust hose size.
2. Install hoses (FIG 5).
a. Place small hose clamp onto installer-supplied 1″ hose and twist hose onto PVC adaptor shank (bottom left).
b. Place large hose clamp on installer-supplied 1½” hose (or small hose clamp on 1″ hose) and twist hose onto PVC adaptor shank (top right).
c. Use a flathead screwdriver to tighten both clamps.
3. Install vent (FIG 6).
a. Nitrous oxide separator air discharge vent (top left) has a 2″ no-hub coupling.
b. Attach installer-supplied PVC pipe and fittings to vent to outside.
