Installation Instructions

- If the damaged duct is PVC-U then remove the damaged section and carefully trim both ends.

- Split Collar insert. Together with the Duct Liners) as required, this converts the Duct End into a Spigot to accept Split Duct.
- Provide Duct Liners until the Split Collar insert fits snugly into the Duct.

- Place the Split Collar insert around the cable insert the end marked ‘small’ into one end of the duct and check for a snug fit. If the fit is sloppy then try the end marked ‘large. If neither end provides a good fit then add the Duct Liners until a snug fit is achieved using either end of the Split Collar insert.
- Repeat the procedure at the other end of the damaged section.
- Measure the distance between the two flanges of the Split Collar inserts and cut a corresponding length of Split Duct which is then placed over the spigot ends of the Split Collar inserts. Clamp the Split Duct together using Straps Cable Fixing 10A placed at approximately 150 mm intervals. Tighten the Straps Cable Fixing 10A -Mills P/N 583-0896 using Tensioner 8A (Item Code 127234).
