Product Usage Instructions
Preparing the Fibre Bundle:
Before applying the blowing beads, make sure to prepare the fibre bundle by
stripping off any excess coating or protective layers. Ensure that the fibre
bundle is clean and free from any debris.
Applying the Blowing Beads:
Follow these steps to apply the blowing beads:
- Take one blowing bead from the pack.
- Position the bead at the leading edge of the fibre bundle.
- Using the E72-6782 Blown Fibre Bead Crimper, crimp the bead securely onto the fibre bundle.
- Repeat this process for each fibre in the bundle until all beads are applied.

Fibre Blowing Beads, which can be quickly and easily crimped to the leading edge ballistic fibre bundle fibre to provide smooth running of the blown fibre unit through the blown fibre microduct and minimise the risk of snagging at connector locations and joints. Beads can be applied using E72-6782 Blown Fibre Bead Crimper.
Supplied in a pack of 50.
Blowing the Fibre
Once all the blowing beads are securely crimped onto the fibre bundle, you can proceed with the fibre blowing process. Connect the blown fibre unit to the blown fibre microduct and ensure a secure connection. Apply appropriate air pressure to blow the fibre through the microduct, ensuring smooth running without any snagging or obstruction caused by connectors or joints.
