Connect the provided 12V power supply to power the instrument. -

HEADPHONES
6,.35mm TRS output to connect standard stereo headphones. When headphones are connected the keyboard’s internal speakers will be muted. -
SUSTAIN PEDAL
6.35mm TS jack sustain pedal input. -
USB TO HOST
Use this port to connect the instrument to an external device such as a computer for use as a MIDI controller. -
USB TO DEVICE
Use this port to connect a USB hard drive to play mp3 files through the instrument’s speakers.
TONE MODE
PLAYING A TONE
Press the [TONE] button to enter tone mode. Use the category buttons to the
right of the display to select a category or use the numerical pad to input a
specific tone number. Alternatively, you can use the data entry wheel to
scroll to your desired tone.
DUAL MODE
- Press the [DUAL] button to enter dual mode. This mode allows you to stack two tones on top of each other and play them simultaneously.
- Settings such as tone number and octave can be selected for each tone individually. Press the [TONE] button to switch between R1 (your initial tone) and R2 (your layered tone) on the display.
- To exit dual mode, simply press [DUAL] once more.
SUSTAIN
Press the [SUSTAIN] button to let notes ring out for longer after you release
the keys. This is particularly useful when you are without a sustain pedal.
MODULATION
Press the [MODULATION] button to apply a vibrato effect to the sound. This is
a useful tool for adding dynamic range to your playing. To remove the effect,
press the button again.
O.T.S.
When One Touch Setting (O.T.S) is enabled, you can instantly recall auto
accompaniment-related settings – including voice selection and digital effects
– with a single touch of a button.
Press the O.T.S button to turn on/off this mode for the current rhythm.
“O.T.S” will be shown on the display when using this mode.
CHORD MODE
There are two types of chord mode. Press [CHORD MODE] once to activate A.B.C. mode, and again to switch to Full Range mode.
A.B.C.
The left-hand side of the keyboard is used for playing chords with one or two
notes, while the right-hand side is used for playing melodies.
- To play a major triad, just play the root of the chord you want to hear. For example, to play C major, press a C.
- To play a minor triad, press the root note and the note two semi-tones down simultaneously. For example, to hear C minor, press a C and Bb.
- To play a seventh chord, play the root note, and the note one semitone down simultaneously. For example, to a hear C7, press C and B.
- To play a minor seventh chord, play the root note, the note one semi-tone down, and the note two semi-tones down simultaneously. For example, to hear Cm7, press C, B and Bb.
FULL CHORD
This function does not split the keyboard but displays the names of the chords
played on the screen. This is a great learning tool for young players!
To exit Chord Mode. press [CHORD MODE] until neither A.B.C. or Full Range are
shown on the display.
RHYTHM MODE
Press the [RHYTHM] button to enter Rhythm mode. The mode indicator will read
RHYTHM and the current rhythm number will appear on the data display. Use the
[CATEGORY] buttons to jump to a category and use the [<], [>] buttons to
browse individual rhythms. Alternatively, hold [NUMBER] and use the [CATEGORY]
buttons to input a specific number to jump straight to the desired rhythm.
Press the [START/STOP] button to start/stop playing the rhythm. If you want
playback to begin in sync with your playing, press the [START SYNC] button to
put the playback in standby. Now, the rhythm will begin as soon as you start
playing the keyboard.
PLAYING A RHYTHM WITH AUTO-ACCOMPANIMENT
Press the [CHORD] button to activate Chord mode. The mode indicator will read
CHORD and the instrument will begin to recognize chords played on the left-
hand side of the keyboard.
Press the [SYNC START] button and play a chord on the left-hand side of the
keyboard. The auto-accompaniment will start and will automatically follow your
chord changes, and the chord names will be displayed on the screen in real
time.
A/B SECTIONS
The auto-accompaniment has two main sections to allow for changes in dynamics
and grooves. Before playing a rhythm, press [A/B] to pre-select which section
you wish to play first. Whilst the rhythm is playing, press [A/B] to switch
between the A and B sections. Upon switching section, a fill will be applied
in the transition and the data display will briefly indicate the name of the
new section as either “A” or “B”. Holding down the [A/B] button during
playback will loop the fill until the button is released.
INTRO/ENDING SECTIONS
Before playing a rhythm, press the [INTRO] and [ENDING] button to arm the
playback. Enable Chord mode and Sync Start, then play a chord in the left hand
to immediately start the intro. If you just want to hear the rhythm track,
press [START/STOP].
Once the intro concludes, the selected A or B section will begin.
Press the [INTRO and ENDING] button again to begin the ending. The rhythm will
stop once the ending section has concluded.
FADE IN/OUT
Before playing a rhythm, press the [FADE] button to apply a fade-in at the
start. During playback, press the [FADE] button to begin fading out the
rhythm.
ADJUSTING THE TEMPO
Each rhythm has its own preset tempo, but these can be adjusted at any time
using the [TEMPO +/–] buttons. Press [+] to increase and [–] to decrease the
tempo, or press both simultaneously to reset to the original tempo.
Tip: During playback, switching to another rhythm will not change the
current tempo.
METRONOME
Press the [METRONOME] button to start/stop the metronome. The tempo can be
adjusted using the [TEMPO </>] buttons. Settings such as time signature can be
adjusted through the [FUNCTION] button. Please see the Functions guide on pg.

SONG MODE
LISTENING TO SONGS
Press the [SONG] button to enter Song mode. The mode indicator will read SONG
and the current song number will appear on the data display. Use the
[CATEGORY] buttons to jump to a category and use the [<], [>] buttons to
browse individual songs. Alternatively, hold [NUMBER] and use the [CATEGORY]
buttons to input a specific rhythm number to jump straight to the desired
song. Press the [START/STOP] button to start/stop playing the current song.
LESSON MODE
In Song mode, press the [LESSON] button to enter Lesson mode for the currently
selected song. There are multiple lessons for each song:

After each lesson, the program will automatically move on to the next lesson –
you can manually scroll through lesson mode by pressing the [LESSON] button
After completing each lesson, the instrument will grade your practice:
- Level 1 – “OK”
- Level 2 – “Good”
- Level 3 – “Very good”
- Level 4 – “Excellent”
After grading, the song will repeat for you to practice again. Press the
[LESSON BUTTON] at any time to move to the next lesson.
Press the [START/STOP] button to start/stop the lesson.
RECORDING MODE
CREATE A RECORDING
Press the [REC] button to enter Recording mode. The RECORD indicator will
light up on the screen and the beat counter will flash, meaning that the
record function is armed. Set the tempo and metronome to your desired settings
and press the [PLAY] button or use the Sync Start function to begin recording.
To stop recording, press the [REC] button.
Please Note: This instrument features a single-track recorder, meaning
that each new recording made will overwrite the previous one. Additionally,
recorded content will be erased whenever the instrument is powered off.
PLAYING BACK RECORDINGS
To listen back to or pause your recording, press [PLAY].
FUNCTION SETTINGS
To access adjustable parameters, press the [FUNCTION] button. You can then use the data wheel to scroll through the parameters and use the [+] and [-} buttons to edit values. Pressing [+] and [-] together will reset the parameter to its original value. To exit the functions menu, press any of the mode buttons.

USB CONNECTION
This instrument features two types of USB connection:
USB TO HOST
Connect the instrument to your computer via a USB cable using this port. The
computer should automatically recognise the instrument for MIDI and audio
transmission. You can then use the keyboard as a MIDI controller and set the
audio output of your computer to the built-in speakers of your keyboard.
USB TO DEVICE
Connect a USB drive to your instrument using this port. You will now be able
to access mp3 files on your USB drive. Press [MP3] to access your drive and
scroll through the files using the data wheel. Use the [PLAY] button to play
your mp3s through the internal speakers and play along!
