Modes of Usage
The TwinController has two main modes of usage:

  1. AUTO Mode: Sets up the desired temperature and controls fan speeds accordingly.
  2. 100% Mode: Runs both inlet and outlet fans at maximum speed.

Settings Adjustment
Adjust the following settings to control your environment:

  • % Min Inlet: Adjusts the minimum speed of the intake fan.
  • % Min Outlet: Adjusts the minimum speed of the extractor fan.
  • % Neg. Pressure: Sets the net speed difference between outtake and intake to prevent odors from escaping.

Usage Warnings
It is important to note the following warnings:

  • Avoid placing the device in extremely warm or highly humid environments.
  • Avoid direct exposure to lamps, bulbs, or humidifiers.

That is why the indications given in this manual should be followed at all times. Users should observe carefully the safety measures present in this manual during the functioning of the device.

ELECTRICAL HAZARDS

During the installation or during the process of maintenance, there is the danger of electricity shock. Become aware of the following safety measures before starting with the installation or maintenance:

  • First of all, disconnect the device from the power supply and unplug it from the electrical socket, before starting to execute the maintenance procedures. Watch out! After disconnecting from the power supply, it might still be internal electrical parts that remain charged!
  • Resume the power supply of the unit or plug the device again to the socket after finishing any procedure or when the installation is finished.
  • During the installation or during the process of maintenance, there is the danger of suffering injuries and wounds by cause of an electricity shock. Do not ever open the housing of the device, meanwhile this is in use.
  • Maintenances procedures can only be executed with a disconnected controller which power plug is not connected to the power supply.
  • Do not place the controller directly exposed to rain or humid environments, in case of putting it outdoors place it in an installation well protected.

INTRODUCTION

This manual is meant for users and installers of the CLI-MATE devices. In these instructions you can find all the information that you might need to use the controller in a safe and advisable way. Before starting to use your CLI- MATE device, it is of great importance to get sufficiently familiar con this manual. It is necessary to get familiar with the working of the device and the safety instructions. The safety instructions here mentioned must be followed at all times. This is on the interest of your safety and to prevent damage to the device.

AIM OF USAGE

The CLI-MATE devices are exclusively meant to control fans installed in exhaust systems (like professional kitchens), or as a component of an air control system. The information in this manual is focused in the originally designated use of the controller. This CLI-MATE controller can only be used if it is done under the intended aims of usage.

WARRANTY AND LIABILITY

  • CLI-MATE grants a warranty for a period of 12 months after installation. The warranty is not applicable in the following cases:
  • The installation was not executed following the applicable requirements;
    • The device presents defects originated by faulty connection, improper use or dumping of the controller;
    • The guarantee patch is broken.
    • There have been made changes in the wiring or reparations by an unauthorized person.
  • The costs incurred relative to the installation fall outside the warranty field. As a defect is detected in the device during the period of warranty, this should be notified to the installer or to the pertinent outlet. Had the maintenance or other procedures been done following other guides that the ones described in this manual, or when there have been made modifications to the devices without our consent, then is the user responsible to bring the status of the device back in line with the applicable by the European Directive.
  • CLI-MATE® reserves the rights to change the making and/or configuration of its products at any time, without it constituting an obligation to update previously delivered products. The data include in this user manual concerns to the most recent information. That information can be changed on any future point of time without previous warning.

TRANSPORTATION / UNPACKAGING

  • Always keep in mind for the transportation that the controller has been packaged in such way that under normal transport circumstances it cannot break or be perforated. The packaging provided by the purchase is supplied with a strong inside packaging.
  • Sending by post is allowed, in the case that the statement on top is observed.
  • Throw the packaging away following the regulations for the environment.
  • The packaging material is recyclable. Avoid throwing it in the general container, but try to find the appropriate container for its disposal.

OVERVIEW AND PRINCIPLE

  • The CLI-MATE® controllers possess a IP-qualified housing, inside of which all the electronic chips necessary for the working of the software are factory set.
  • The CLI-MATE® controllers also possess a mounting bracket to facilitate its installation.
  • Every CLI-MATE® controller has a cooling plate to help reduce the warming

INSTALLATION

  • Be aware during the installations of the CLI-MATE® controller that it is mounted or hanged in a stable and leveled way. The controller produces heat, therefore it is important that it lays or hangs free, to aid the circulation of the air and for cooling. Mount the controller always out the area of control, in relation with the cooling of the device.
  • The CLI-MATE® controller must be connected in accordance with the valid guidelines of the electricity society, to a power supply that provides with enough power.

MAINTENANCE

  • Technical maintenance of the CLI-MATE® controllers is not needed. It is possible, in order to remove dirtiness from the controller, to use a dry duster to clean it. In that case:
    • Take the plug out of the socket, unplug it from the power supply;
    • Remove the dirtiness from the housing.
  • We recommend that the cleaning is performed by an experienced installer.
    • Always turn the power off and take out the plug from the socket, unplug the CLI-MATE® controller from the power supply, before executing any maintenance procedure. Be aware that after the removal from the power
    • there can still be internal components that stay loaded.
    • During the installation, there is the danger of injury by electric shock. Do never open the housing of the controller, meanwhile it is working.
    • Maintenance procedures should only be executed with an unplugged controller and with the plug completely remove from the socket, with no connection to the power supply.
    • Plug the controller again and turn it on when the maintenance procedures are finished.

DISMOUNTING AND REMOVAL

  • At the end of the live duration of the controller is the user responsible for a safe dismounting of the device before a disposal of any components, following the pertinent procedure according tothe valid law and/or regulations.
  • Discarded products contain recyclable materials. Thus deliver the discarded product always by an indicated collection point.
