updates, management, and support.

Setup Options

Set up your Fortinet device locally or via forticloud.com using
GUI or CLI:

GUI Setup:

Connect Port 1 with an Ethernet cable to the management
computer.
For static IP configuration, use 192.168.1.1 with subnet mask
255.255.255.0.

CLI Setup:

Connect the console port to the management computer using a USB
console cable (available for purchase).
Set speed to 9600, data bits to 8, stop bits to 1, parity to
None, and flow control to None.

FortiGate Cloud Key Setup

Go to forticloud.com and login or
register.
Follow on-screen instructions and click Add FortiGate.
Enter the FortiGate Cloud Key found on your device’s
sticker.

FAQ

Q: How do I access technical support?

A: Visit Fortinet
Technical Support for Resource Center and services.

A: For local access, use admin as the username with no password.
WiFi SSID is fortinet with password fortinet.

Q: How do I know if the device is operating normally?

A: Check the LED indicators on the front panel for different
statuses related to power, WiFi, and connectivity.
