HOW DOES THE STEAK MASTER WORK

In the Infrared Grill, the gas passes through the gas tube into the ceramic element burner. The Infrared Grill produces around 800°C/ 1500°F of intense heat in close proximity to the ceramic burner. The intense heat seals the surface of the meat very quickly, sealing in the moisture. This prevents the meat from drying out (unlike other more conventional cooking methods) and creates a caramelizing effect on the meat and gives meat a unique taste.

The Infrared Grill has been designed to cook high quality cuts of meat. However, it is also can be used to cook fish, chicken and vegetables. Please note that the Infrared Grill is not designed to cater for large groups like a standard BBQ. It is better suited to outdoor fine dining for a smaller number of people where food can be selectively prepared.

Connecting an LP Gas Cylinder Before connecting, ensure that there is no debris caught in the head of the LP tank, head of the regulator valve or in the head of the burner and burner ports.
Connect the gas line to the tank by turning the knob clockwise until it stops. Ensure that the tube is not subject to twisting. The maximum diameter and the maximum height of the cylinder is 31 Omm/ 12 inches and SOOmm/19.5 inches as illustrated.

  1. Maximum diameter
  2. Maximum height

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

When you have finished using your barbecue, turn all the control valves fully clockwise to the “OFF” position, then switch off the gas at the bottle. Wait until the barbecue is sufficiently cool before closing its hood. to give the Infrared Grill a long life and ensure continued enjoyment. Once the Infrared Grill has sufficiently cooled, use a cloth with mild detergent and warm water to remove any grease and fatty deposits from cooking surfaces and grills. Soak the trays and cooking plate in very hot soapy water for a prolonged period in order to remove tough stains and fatty deposits. Allow to fully dry before storage to prevent corrosion and damage. Store the Infrared Grill in a cool dry place (NOT OUTSIDE). Regularly clean your barbecue between uses and especially after extended periods of storage.

  • Ensure the barbecue and its components are sufficiently cool before cleaning.
  • Never douse the barbecue with water when its surfaces are hot.
  • Never handle hot parts with unprotected hands.

Cooking Grill
Clean the cooking grill with hot soapy water. To remove any food residue, use a mild cream cleaner and a nonabrasive pad. Rinse well and dry thoroughly.

Burner Maintenance
In normal usage, burning off the residue after cooking will keep the burner clean.

Barbecue Body
Regularly remove excess grease or fat from the barbecue body with a soft plasticor wooden scraper. It is not necessary to remove all the grease from the body. If you need to clean fully, use hot soapy water and a cloth, or nylon-bristled brush only. Remove cooking surfaces and burners before full cleaning. Do not immerse the gas controls or manifold in water.

Maintenance Of Outer Body
Annual checking and tightening of metal fixings is recommended.

Storage
Store your barbecue in a cool, dry place. Cover the burners with aluminum foil in order to prevent insects or other debris from collecting in burner holes. If the barbecue is to be stored indoors, the gas cylinder must be disconnected and left outside. The gas cylinder must always be stored outside, in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from any sources of heat or ignition. Keep out of the reach of children.
In order to extend the life and maintain the condition of your barbecue, we strongly recommend that the unit be covered if left outside for any length of time, especially during the winter months.
