This product is of international standards and safer to use than traditional gas stoves or electrical cooktop for any kind of cooking. This is a portable product, for indoor use that works silently & efficiently. It comes with grill stand to grill, roast & BBQ. Also, it is compatible with all types of cookware.

OPERATION PANEL
HOW INFRARED COOKTOP WORKS
Infrared cooktops are made from quartz infrared heating lamps in a corrosion-
protected metal disc. The lamps are usually surrounded by radiant coils to
emit even radiant heat. This radiant heat transfers direct infrared heat to
the pot. Infrared cooktops have 3 times higher efficiency over solid electric
coils.
USING YOUR INFRARED COOKTOP
After the device has been turned on, select the appropriate function for your
cooking. You can choose from a selection of pre-set menus.

The appliance is designed to go upto 700° C but it is advisable not to go beyond 550° C
- Timer : 1 Minute to 3 Hours.
- STIR FRY – This is a function designed for cooking vegetables etc. During cooking, the heat and time can be adjusted with the help of the knob.
- BBQ – This function is used for making barbecue or grilling food. Select the BBQ function. Heat and time can be adjusted with the help of the knob.
- SOUP – Take 4 cups of soup stock in a pan. Select the soup function. Heat and time can be adjusted with the help of the knob.
- FUNCTION – This operation is used when you want to set manually as per the requirement of the recipe to be made.
ADJUSTABLE SETTINGS
- TIMER – The cooking can be set to a desired time with the help of the timer. Rotate the knob left or right to decrease or increase the time, according to your requirement. Once set, the display would flash the set time and then begin the countdown. After the set time elaspes the cooktop function will automatically switch off but the fan will keep running to cool down the unit.
- HEAT ADJUSTMENT – The infrared cooktop automatically sets to the required temperature in case of pre-set functions. However, it is possible to manually adjust it as per the requirement.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING KENT SUNSTAR INFRARED COOKTOP
- Before using, please check if the power plug connects well with the power outlet.
- Before placing the pot on the infrared cooktop plate, please clean up water stains, oil spots or any other adherents dirt from the outside surface of the pot and cooktop plate.
- Please put the pot to be heated on the central part of the infrared cooktop. Do not put an empty pot on the cooktop plate to be heated. Place suitable cooking utensils on the centre of the top plate.
Note : Please do not rinse it with water
- For oil spots on the cooktop plate, wipe the cooktop plate by using a soft moist cloth with a little toothpaste or mild detergent. And then use a soft moist cloth to wipe it until no stain remains.
- When not using it for a long time, please disconnect the power plug from the power outlet and protect the infrared cooktop from any dust or bugs.
WARNING
- Overheat Protection: The unit is equipped with overheat protection. If the pot or pan gets too hot, the unit will switch off automatically, and the display will show “HOT”. At this time, all functions are disabled. After few minutes, the appliance is ready to use again.
- This appliance is liable to get hot during usage.

TIPS
- Choose compound pans as the device won’t function with thinner pots.
- To avail the preset functions, it is advised to cook suitable amount of food.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic precaution should always be
followed, including the following:
- Unplug when not in use and before servicing.
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use near or on wet surfaces.
- Use the appliance only as described in the manual.
- Do not use the appliance if cord or plug is damaged or worn out. Replace the damaged cord or plug immediately.
- Do not try to service the appliance on your own. Send it to an authorised service centre only.
- Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
- Always unplug by pulling the plug and not the cord.
- To avoid electric shocks, do not use the appliance with wet hands.
- Turn all controls off before unplugging.
- This appliance is suitable for indoor use only.
- Keep away from children.
- The appliance is not designed to be used by people, who are physically or mentally disabled or mentally handicapped or lack relevant experience and knowledge, unless a person responsible for their safety is present for supervision or guidance.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
- Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
- Wait till the plate of the infrared cooktop has cooled down and then start cleaning.
- Wipe the main unit with a moist cloth and non-abrasive liquid cleaner. Dust in the air inlet and outlet can be cleaned by using a soft brush.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Never put any part of the appliance in the dishwasher.
- Ensure that the appliance is completely dry before storing it.
PRECAUTIONS
- Do not disassemble, repair or alter the machine on your own. It may cause appliance failure or breakdown.
- The input voltage must not exceed the rating; it might damage the appliance.
- Unplug before cleaning / moving the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance with damaged power cord or plug.
- Do not install the machine near any heat source, e.g., heater.
- If the appliance is not in use for a long time, unplug it.
- Do not sit/stand on or shake the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance when it is in an inclined position.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY
KENT warrants all new products manufactured by it to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal usage and service from the date of purchase as under:
- The Warranty period commences from the date of purchase by the first end-user. During this Warranty period of one year, KENT or its Authorised Service Provider (ASP) will replace or repair any part of KENT Sunstar Infrared Cooktop, that in the opinion of KENT or its ASP, would be defective in operation due to faulty material or workmanship (i.e. manufacturing defects) with the exception of consumables.
- The product’s plastic body and parts including metal & glass top are not covered under warranty and hence, it must be handled with care to guard against breakage.
- The original purchaser of the unit can avail services under Warranty at the point of sale, by producing the damaged part(s) along with the original invoice.a
- This Warranty is void if the unit is not operated under normal conditions or according to the instructions given in the manual.
- Product returned to KENT or its ASP for Warranty examination must be shipped freight prepaid.
- KENT or its ASP shall not be held liable for claims exceeding the cost of repair of the defects in workmanship.
- This Warranty Agreement shall not be interpreted to render KENT or its ASP liable for injuries or damages of any kind – direct, consequential or contingent to persons or property.
- KENT or its ASP shall not be held responsible by representative or buyer for failure to abide by any of the obligations of this Warranty Agreement if such failures are the result of circumstances of Forces Majeures: such as, but not limited to, floods, earthquakes, transportation strikes, labour disputes with outside suppliers or any other conditions beyond the control of KENT or its ASP.
- KENT or its ASP shall not be held liable for repair or alterations made without prior written approval; for products failures resulting from the lack of proper maintenance.
This Warranty Agreement excludes all products /component parts or damage to any part of this Infrared Cooktop which, in the opinion of KENT or its ASP, have been subjected to misuse; misapplication; negligence; alteration; accident or operation contrary to our instructions, incompatibility with accessories not installed by KENT or its ASP, or that have been repaired with component parts other than those manufactured by or obtained from KENT or its ASP. Damage caused by freezing, flood, fire or Act of God is not covered by this Warranty. In all such cases regular charges will apply. This limited Warranty does not include service to diagnose a claimed malfunction in this unit.
KENT reserves the right to alter or improve design and specifications at any time, without any contingent obligations to prospective buyers or owners of the products previously sold. Any disagreements and obligations based upon the purchase of KENT products and thereby imposed on KENT or its ASP shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of India and subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only.
KENT or its ASP assumes no Warranty liability in connection with this Infrared Cooktop other than that specified herein. This Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose. KENT or its ASP does not authorize any person or representative to assume for them any other obligations on the sale of this Infrared Cooktop.
Under no circumstances, the liability of KENT or its ASP shall exceed the value of the product. Under no circumstances are the terms mentioned above negotiable and no employee of KENT or its ASP has the authority to supersede them.
