KENT Wet Grinder is not your ordinary kitchen appliance. It’s designed to save time so that you are done with your kitchen chores in a matter of minutes. Unlike bulky grinders and unwieldy food processors that most of us only pull out of storage for specific recipes and special occasions, KENT Wet Grinder is so handy, so versatile and easy to use that you’ll put it to work every single day.

ITEMS IN THE BOX

USING KENT WET GRINDER

1. Remove any stickers or blade covers that might prevent from operating the unit.
2. Check the unit for damages. Do not use in case of any damages.
3. Before switching on the appliance, make sure that your home main voltage corresponds to the unit’s operating voltage.
4. Clean the parts of the KENT Wet Grinder before using the appliance for the first time [see ‘Cleaning & Maintenance’ section].
5. Make sure all parts are completely dry before you start using the appliance.

HOW TO OPERATE

GRINDING BATTER DOSA, IDLI OR VADA

1. Wash and clean the drum and roller stone assembly.
2. Place the roller holder assembly inside the drum. Ensure compliance with the diagram printed on arm.
3. Take acup of water and pour it into the drum.
4. Add the grinding medium in small quantities with sufficient water and close the drum with hatch.
5. Remove the hatch, rotate the knob anti-clockwise to release spring load and to unlock the roller holder. Lift the roller holder upwards.
6. Remove the drum and use batter as per need. Store the rest in the refrigerator.
7. Place the drum on coupler and gently rotate till it’s seated properly.
8. Keep the knob in unlock position and close the lid.
9. Preset the timer to 30 minutes or required time by using knob.
10. Once the set grinding time is over, a beep alert will be heard and grinder will automatically switch off.
11. Remove the roller stone assembly, and wipe down/remove the batter immediately.
12. Remove the batter, once grinding is complete.

KNEADING ATTA

1. Remove the roller stones and place the atta kneader in the drum.
2. Lock the arm and feed approx. 350 gm of atta through the opening provided.
3. Pour little water and switch on the appliance.
4. Add little oil and salt to taste.
5. Add water drop by drop till you get the required consistency.

SCRAPPING COCONUT

1. Remove roller stones and place the coconut scraper in the drum.
2. Ensure that the bowl and the coconut scraper are clean and dry.
3. Take one half of the coconut, hold it firmly on the scraper and switch on the motor.
4. Now you will get fine pieces of coconuts.
5. Move the coconut suitably against the coconut scraper for complete scrapping.
6. After scrapping Is over, clean the coconut scraper thoroughly and remove the same.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

1. Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
2. Remove the lid and clean the drum with a solution of lukewarm water & soap. Use a cleaning brush; never use scouring pads to clean it.
3. Wipe the main unit with a moist cloth and non-abrasive liquid cleaner.
4. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
5. Never put any part of the appliance in the dishwasher.
6. After cleaning it thoroughly, dry it using a soft cloth.
7. Ensure that the appliance Is completely dry before storing it.

Note: Never immerse the motor unit of the grinder in water, nor rinse it under the tap. Wipe it with a dry cloth.

PRECAUTIONS

1. Do not disassemble, repair or alter the machine on your own. It may cause appliance failure or breakdown.
2. The input voltage must not exceed the rating; it might damage the appliance.
3. Unplug before cleaning/moving the appliance.
4. Do not use the appliance with damaged power cord or plug.
5. If power cord is damaged, replace it with a genuine KENT spare.
6. Do not install the machine near any heat source, e.g., heater.
7. If the appliance Is not in use for a longer time, unplug it.
8. Do not sit on, stand on or shake the appliance.
9. Do not use the appliance when it is ina recumbent or inclined position.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

1. Unplug, when not in use and before servicing.
2. Toreduce the risk of electric shock, do not use near or on wet surfaces.
3. Use the appliance only as described in the manual.
4. Do not use the appliance If cord or plug is damaged or worn out. Replace the damaged cord or plug immediately.
5. Do not try to service the appliance on your own. Send it to an authorized service centre only.
6. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
7. Do not unplug the appliance by pulling the cord. Always unplug by pulling the plug and not the cord.
8. To avoid electric shocks, do not use the appliance with wet hands.
9. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of body away from moving parts.
10. Turn all controls off before unplugging.
11. This appliance is suitable for indoor use only.
12. Keep away from children.
13. The appliance is not designed to be used by people who are physically or mentally disabled or mentally handicapped or lack relevant experience and knowledge, unless a person responsible for their safety uses the product for supervision or guidance.

TROUBLESHOOTING

appliance is connected to the mains and if the plug is inserted firmly into the wall socket.
The appliance is defective.| Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Go to the nearest KENT authorized service centre for assistance.
The appliance suddenly stops working while running.| The appliance has overheated.| Let the appliance cool for 20 minutes before attempting to restart it.
The appliance is overloaded.| Remove some ingredients, add some water and try again.
Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Go to the nearest KENT authorised service centre for assistance.
The appliance makes lots of noise.| The Knob is not tightened properly.| Reposition the jar in the correct position.
Roller is not placed properly.| Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Go to the nearest KENT authorised service centre for assistance.
Motor does not work properly.| The appliance is defective.| Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Go to the nearest KENT authorised service centre for assistance.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY

KENT warrants all new products manufactured by it to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal usage and service from the date of purchase as under:

1. The Warranty period commences from the date of purchase by the first end-user. During this Warranty period of one year, KENT or its Authorized Service Provider (ASP) will replace or repair any part of KENT Wet Grinder, that in the opinion of KENT or its ASP, would be defective in operation due to faulty material or workmanship (i.e. manufacturing defects) with the exception of consumables.
2. The product’s plastic body/jars are not covered under Warranty and hence, it must be handled with care to guard against breakage.
3. The original purchaser of the unit can avail services under Warranty at the point of sale, by producing the damaged part(s) along with the original invoice.
4. This Warranty ts void if the unit is not operated under normal conditions or according to the instructions given in the manual.
5. Product returned to KENT or its ASP for Warranty examination must be shipped freight prepaid.
6. KENT or its ASP shall not be held liable for claims exceeding the cost of repair of the defects in workmanship.
7. This Warranty Agreement shall not be interpreted to render KENT or its ASP liable for injuries or damages of any kind – direct, consequential or contingent to persons or property.
8. KENT or its ASP shall not be held responsible by representative or buyer for failure to abide by any of the obligations of this Warranty Agreement if such failures are the result of circumstances of Forces Majeures: such as, but not limited to, floods, earthquakes, transportation strikes, labour disputes with outside suppliers or any other conditions beyond the control of KENT or its ASP.
9. KENT or its ASP shall not be held liable for repair or alterations made without prior written approval; for products failures resulting from the lack of proper maintenance.
10. This Warranty Agreement excludes all products / component parts or damage to any part of this Wet Grinder which, in the opinion of KENT or its ASP, have been subjected to misuse; misapplication; negligence; alteration; accident or operation contrary to our instructions, incompatibility with accessories not installed by KENT or its ASP, or that have been repaired with component parts other than those manufactured by or obtained from KENT or its ASP. Damage caused by freezing, flood, fire or Act of God is not covered by this Warranty. In all such cases regular charges will apply. This limited Warranty does not include service to diagnose a claimed malfunction in this unit.
11. KENT reserves the right to alter or improve design and Specifications at any time, without any contingent  obligations to prospective buyers or owners of the products previously sold.
12. Any disagreements and obligations based upon the purchase of KENT products and thereby imposed on KENT or its ASP shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of India and subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only.
13. KENT or its ASP assumes no Warranty liability in connection with this Wet Grinder other than that specified herein. This Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose. KENT or its ASP does not authorize any person or representative to assume for them any other obligations on the sale of this Wet Grinder.
14. Under no circumstances, the liability of KENT or its ASP shall exceed the value of the product.
15. Under no circumstances are the terms mentioned above negotiable and no employee of KENT or its ASP has the authority to supersede them.
