comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage

General Notes
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into
operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and,
if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to
other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
- Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device must not be used.
- Use only original spare parts.
- In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

Special Safety Instructions for this unit
WARNING:
- The blade of the bar mixer is very sharp! It should therefore be handled with extreme caution! Danger of injury!
- Switch off the appliance and disconnect from mains power before working on the knives.
WARNING:
- Make sure that the motor casing is not wet. Switching on a wet motor can result in electric shock or short circuit.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains if unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning the appliance.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, alwayshave faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by qualified person and with a cable of the same type.
- This appliance is not to be used by children. Keep the appliance and the connecting cable away from children.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
- The motor housing must not be immersed in water for cleaning.
Please observe all relevant instructions provided in chapter “Cleaning”.
CAUTION:
- Do not chop very hard ingredients with this appliance, such as ice cubes, nutmeg or larger pieces of cooking chocolate. The blade can be damaged!
- Ensure that the mains power cable does not touch hot surfaces (e.g. hot pots).
Intended Use
This appliance is intended to puree and/or mix foodstuffs and beverages. It is
for instance suitable for preparing mayonnaise, dips, sauces, soups, baby food
and milkshakes.
The appliance is intended for amounts common in the private household.
Use in hot foods is possible.
It is intended for the use in private households and similar applications. It
is only to be used as instructed in this user manual. The appliance is not
intended for commercial use.
Any other use is not intended and can result in damages or personal injuries.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for damages caused by improper use .
Supplied parts

- Unpacking the appliance
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging materials such as films, filler material, cable clips and carton.
- Check the contents for completeness.
NOTE:
Production residue or dust may have collected on the appliance. We recommend cleaning the appliance according to chapter “Cleaning”.

Instructions for use
- Chop up large pieces of solid food before mashing (max. Ø 1.5 cm) and add a little liquid.
- Short-time operating: Do not operate the appliance longer than 1 minute continuously.
Leave the device to cool down for at least 1 minute before using again.
Assembly / Dismantling
WARNING: Risk of injury!
When attaching accessories there is the risk of pinching your fingers. Please
be especially careful.
Observe additional Figure on page 3. Assemble the motor housing and the hand blender as follows:
- Press both buttons (5) simultaneously.
- Attach the motor casing (4) on the blender (6) until it clicks into place. Observe the recesses on the blender.
- Release the buttons. Motor casing and blender are tightly connected.
To detach press and hold both buttons simultaneously and pull the blender from the motor casing.
Electrical connection
- Ensure that your mains power corresponds with the specifications of the appliance. The specifications are printed on the type label.
- Connect the mains cable to a properly installed and earthed wall outlet.
Operation
WARNING:
When using the appliance in hot foods, there is a risk of burning due to hot
splashing.

Submerge the entire blender head in foodstuff or beverage. Keep the appliance upright. In this way you avoid spatters.

Hold the handle with one hand in such a way that you can press the push button (3). Use the other hand to adjust the speed with the control knob (2).

Activate pulse operation by pressing and releasing the push button alternately.

The appliance turns off when releasing the push button.
WARNING: Risk of injury!
The motor overtravels. Wait until the knife comes to a complete standstill.
NOTE:
Interrupt the process if the maximum speed is too slow.
Reduce the quantity of the food being mixed.
First break up any solid food. -
Pull out the plug from the socket after use.

After cleaning hang the appliance on its eyelet (1).
Cleaning
WARNING:
- Always remove the plug before cleaning.
- Under no circumstances should you immerse the motor housing in water in order to clean it. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.
- The blade of the bar mixer is very sharp! Please be very careful.
CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
- Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
NOTE:
Fill a container with hot water and let the blender run in it for pre-cleaning
as described under “Operation”.
- Wipe the casing with a damp cloth.
- If you want to clean the hand blender (mixing rod) thoroughly, detach it from the motor housing as described under “Assembly / Dismantling”.
Cleaning In Sudsy Water
You can briefly rinse the blender in warm sudsy water. Afterwards rinse in
clean water. Dry the blender thoroughly.
Cleaning In the Dishwasher
The blender is dishwasher-safe. Ensure not to overdose the cleaning agents
(detergent, salt and rinse aid).
Storage
- Clean the appliance as described and allow it to dry.
- We recommend that you keep the appliance in its original packaging if it will not be used for long periods.
- Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in a dry, well-ventilated place. Hang the appliance for instance on its eyelet (1).
