Introduction to Breeze Pro

Breeze Pro is a wind, rain, and sunlight sensor. It captures this data and transmits it to Bond Bridge Pro using proprietary RF technology. Screens, shades and louver motors are also paired to the Bond Bridge Pro and are triggered when user-defined thresholds are met.

Safety

Please read the following important safety information before using this device.
The BWS-1000 is not designed as a security or safety device and is primarily intended for end-user convenience. The BWS-1000 must not be used in applications where a malfunction could endanger life or property.

Power

Breeze Pro’s primary power sources are its solar panel and supercapacitor. The 2xAA batteries are a backup for when solar energy is not available.

The +12VDC plug powers a heater designed to melt snow or ice that builds up on the sensor which otherwise would cause incorrect wind readings.

When powered, the blue LED indicator will flash every 10 seconds, signaling Breeze Pro is transmitting a signal.

Set thresholds and link devices

Before Breeze Pro can automatically control your devices, you’ll need to set thresholds and link those devices in the Bond Home app.

  1. Open Breeze Pro in  the My Devicesdashboard.
  2. Scroll down and tap “Set thresholds”
  3. You can choose to enable Wind, Rain, and/or Sun detection.
  4. Set an appropriate threshold for windspeed and sun level as needed.
  5. Choose the devices which should be triggered for each type of event.

Event Priorities: Wind > Rain > Sun
If Breeze Pro triggers for high wind, it will ignore rain and sun events until the wind subsides. Similarly, if triggered for rain, it will ignore sun events until the rain stops.

Mounting

Breeze Pro is designed to be fixed on a 1″OD (2.54mm) pole. When mounting, ensure that it’s pointing north (using the north indicator) and it’s mounted vertically. Using a level is recommended.

For accurate measurement of wind speed, please comply with the clearances specified below. If these clearances are violated, the wind measurements may be significantly lower than the actual wind speed causing your thresholds not to trigger when you want them to.

A| Recommended clearance from the ground.| 13ft (4m)
B| Recommended clearance from roofs and parallel surfaces.| 3ft (1m)
C| Recommended clearance radius from near objects and trees| 10ft (3m)
