Read the instructions and keep them safe. If you pass the appliance on, pass on the instructions too. Remove all packaging, but keep it till you know the appliance works.

Follow basic safety precautions, including:
- This appliance must only be used by or under the supervision of a responsible adult. Use and store the appliance out of reach of children.
- Don’t put the appliance in liquid, don’t use it in a bathroom, near water, or outdoors.
- Don’t touch hot surfaces (e.g. body, reservoir).
- Keep the appliance and cable away from the edges of worktops and out of reach of children.
- Take care not to injure yourself or anyone else with the egg pricker – it’s sharp.
- This appliance must not be operated by an external timer or remote control system.
- Let the appliance cool for about 10 minutes before adding water or re–using, to avoid spitting.
- Don’t use accessories or attachments other than those we supply.
- Don’t use the appliance for any purpose other than those described in these instructions.
- Don’t use the appliance if it’s damaged or malfunctions.
- If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or someone similarly qualified, in order to avoid hazard.

how it works
You can boil from 1 to 7 eggs, though we don’t recommend boiling less than 4
eggs at once, as this will take a long time. You can poach 1, 2, or 3 eggs.
When the reservoir boils dry, a buzzer sounds, and your eggs are ready.

Preparation

Sit the appliance on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface.

Check that the switch is off – move it to .

Put the plug into the power socket.

Remove the lid.
-
Put the rack on top of the reservoir.

Use the jug to measure the water.
-
There are three sets of measures, for hard, medium, or soft eggs.
-
Each set of measures is marked from 1-7 eggs.
-
Choose the type of egg (hard , medium , soft ) and number of eggs (1-7), and fill the jug to the correct mark.

Pour the water through the rack, into the reservoir.
boiled eggs -
Use the egg pricker on the bottom of the jug to prick the big end of each egg. Sit the eggs – big end down – on the rack.
poached eggs -
Sit one, two, or three poachers on top of the rack, one poacher for each egg. If you’re poaching one or two eggs, don’t fit the unused poacher(s).

Crack one egg into each poacher.
start -
Fit the lid.

Move the switch to . The light will glow.

Wait till the buzzer sounds.

Move the switch to . The light will go out.
serve the eggs
caution steam and hot air will escape when you lift the lid -
Use your thumb and forefinger to grip the lid by the handle.

Tilt the lid to keep the steam and hot air away from your fingers, and lift it off.

Use oven gloves to remove the boiled eggs or the poachers from the rack.
care and maintenance -
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning or storing away.

Clean the outside surfaces of the appliance with a damp cloth.

Don’t use washing-up liquid in the reservoir. It may leave a residue that taints your eggs.

You may clean the lid, rack and poachers in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly afterwards, to remove all traces of soap.

Don’t put any part of the appliance in a dishwasher.
