APP Download:

1. In the App Store, search for the APP Z-BOX.

How to Add a New EV Charger:

Note: Please turn on the Bluetooth on your phone before adding a
new charger.

1. Open the APP and click ‘Add Device’ on the main interface.

2. Connect the EV Charger via Bluetooth by selecting it from the
   list.

3. Enter the default password (123456) and proceed.

4. After successful binding, set the name and password following
   the instructions.

Rename the Charger and Reset Password:

1. To enhance security, rename the charger and reset the password
   in the App settings.

2. Select a unique name and password to prevent unauthorized
   access.

FAQ:

FAQ 1: What should I do if I forget the charger password?

If you forget the charger password, you can reset it by
following the password reset procedure in the App settings.

FAQ 2: How can I check the status of charging?

You can view real-time data such as Device UID, Max Current,
Charging Energy, etc., in the App under the charging status
section.

APP Introduction
Scan the QR code on charger body to get the charger code or enter the charger code by manual to add new charger in the APP. After the APP connects with charger via Bluetooth or WiFi, user can have charging real-time data, and setting of charging values. Monitor the charging situations, setting charging current, Charging voltage and max charging power values. You can also make timer charging in the Z-box APP, so the charger works by scheduling.

How to Add a New
EV Charger—- Smart EV Charger

Note: Please turn on the Bluetooth in your phone before you add the new charger via Bluetooth.
Steps: Open the APP to enter the main interface as shown in Fig.1-1,click”Add Device” and then enter Fig.1-2
2.Connect the EV Charger searched through Bluetooth just by clicking it
Input the password(default:123456)and click next

How to Add a New EV Charger?– OCPP EV Charger (In Offline)
Note: 1.The OCPP EV charger in Bluetooth mode can be added to the Z-BOX .
2.Please turn on the Bluetooth in your phone before you add the new charger via Bluetooth.
3.The current connection method of OCPP EV Charger only supports Bluetooth connection.
Steps: 1.Open the APP to enter the main interface as shown in Fig.2-1,click”Add Device” and then enter Fig.2-2;
2.Connect the EV Charger searched through Bluetooth just by clicking it; 3.Input the password(default:123456) as Fig.2-3and click next;
4.After the binding succeeds,set the name and password reference to the instructions in the next chapter.

Rename the charger and Rest Password?

To higher the security level of APP+charger using after you added the charger into App successfully,we advise you to rename the charger and reset the password In App as Image 3-1.
Steps: 1. You should pick a name and password for your personal using and prevent the charger from being connected or controlled by others as Image 3-2.
2. The name and password keep as default if you don’t do the rename or password reset.

How to Switch Wi-Fi?
Function: After the charger is connected with mobile phone via the same WIFI network.You can remote the charger in the scope of this Wi-Fi.
Steps: 1.Link the setting interface in Image 8-1,hit the Change Connecting Mode to enter the interface like Image 8-2.
2.Click WLAN mode and a prompt will be displayed:Switch mode from Bluetooth to Wi-Fi as Image 8-3? And hit the Confirm to enter the Enter Wi-Fi password interface,enter the password of WIFI,and click the Confirm button as Image 8-4.

3.The connection mode has changed from Bluetooth to Wi-Fi as Image 8-5.
Note: WIFI mode is only available in the LAN.Only the smart EV Charger can switch the connection method,while the OCPP EV Charger only supports Bluetooth connection.

Troubleshooting For Bluetooth Or Wi-Fi Connections Failed?
Steps: 1.Please ensure the charger is powered ON.
2.Please ensure the charger is not connected with other mobile phones or devices.
3.When you are using the WIFI connection,please ensure your mobile phone is WIFI ON.And the charger should be connected with the same WIFI.
4.If you forget the charger password,you can reset the password by long press the reset button on the main board of charger for 5 second as Image 9-1.Then you should delete the charger in the APP after reset the password as Image 9-2,Image 9-3 and re-add the charger in the APP as Image 9-4.

How to set a timed charging?

Function: Set the time of charging,the charger will work as schedule or at lower power price hours.
Steps: 1.Please note that you should plug the connector into the EV before timer setting.
2.Find the Charging Times as Image 10-1 to enter the Charging Timer Settings interface as Image 10-2.
3.Set the charging start time and end time as Image 10-3.

How to set Operated Current

Only an electrically skilled person can make changes to the max charging current settings.The purpose of this is to prevent user misuse.
Note: 1.Click on the Set Max Charging Current For to enter the current setting page as Image 11-1.
2.Set the appropriate charging current according to the power of consumption of the EV Charger and enter the password of the EV Charger(default password:123456) as Image 11-2.
3.Click Confirm to complete the setting of the maximum charging current as Image 11-3.

Function: Update the firmware version and have the new features.
1.Hit the Firmware update button as Image 12-1.Enter the interface.
2.Update the firmware version if you can find a newer version in the interface as Image12-2.
Note: Firmware update is not mandatory.And please ensure good connection during updating.If the charger is the latest firmware,it does not need to be upgraded.

How to Fix Anomalies in Updates?

Function: Fix the fault during firmware update.
Steps: 1.Hit the button on the top left like Image 13-1 to enter the setting interface.Click Firmware Fix to enter the Firmware Fix(Search Via Bluetooth) interface as Image 13-2,13-3.
2.The charger NO. Is automatically searched through Bluetooth.
3.Click the charger NO. To pop up a prompt:Are you sure to fix 230700715 firmware? As Image 13-4 Hit the Confirm button ans wait for the finish.

How to choose a DLB mode properly?
(For the chargers with this function)

Turn on the Dynamic Load Balance.

EV Charger Household electricity

The charger will detect the type of DLB box:normal DLB or PV DLB as Image 14-1. The dynamic load balancing function,normal DLB box ,is currently enabled.The flow direction of power turns gray in the photovoltaic power generation system as Image 14-2. The normal DLB kit will increase or reduce the charging current to balance the energy usage between the EV and other home appliances and make your car chargers in the most efficient way as Image 14-2. Extreme Mode:In this mode,with the increasing of home electricity consumption,EV Charger will automatically reduce the operating current until charging is stopped to avoid home overload.EV Charger will not start charging until the home electricity has a 10A remaining.

How to choose a PV DLB mode properly?
(For the chargers with this function)
There are three modes for selection under PV DLB
Photovoltaic Mode: In this mode,the charger will lower the charging current from the power grid as Image 15-1,Image 15-2.
Hybrid Mode: The charger allows the power from grid to change.
Full speed Mode: The charger will no longer limit the charging current of the mains and charge at full speed.
DLB box: Set the current via DLB box only.

How to choose a PV DLB mode properly?
(For the chargers with this function)
Night Automatic Mode: Support custom night charging time.Turn on the Night Automatic Mode,and set the timer start time and timer end time.After setting up,please click Confirm.
In this mode,charger will keep charging at full speed(default time period PM 20:00-AM6:00)
Note: Without a button battery build-in the charger,the charger will lose this configuration after restart,reconnect APP to configuration it.
The PV mode,Grid mode and Fast mode is for the charger system including solar PV power;Please select standard mode when no solar power.
The charger will keep a min 6A current charging at lease in any modes.

How to make weekly reservation charging?

Function: Set the charging start time and end time for a whole week.(See Image 16-1)
Steps: 1.Hit the Reservation button in setting interface.
2.Set the start time and end time.
The charger will work as the time setting,please plug the charger to EV before the start time.

How to set the Max Energy
for charging?
Function: To set a Max Energy for one charging ans protect the EV battery over-charging. The charging will stop charging after the Max Energy was reached.
Steps: 1.Set the value of Max Energy in APP after the connection of EV and charger. 2.Hit the start charging. 3.The charger will be limited in the Max Energy charging.

How to set the monthly max consumption?

Function: Limit the monthly consumption of the charger,stop the charger consumption when reach the number.
Step: Set the monthly max consumption in APP.

How to find the history charging records?
Function: The history record has the charging power data at 20 days,12 months and up to 10 years. And you can have the charging power history by monthly and histogram.

How to disable the emergency
button?
Function: Disable the function of emergency button,so the outdoor charger with the stop button can keep working even someone press the stop button.

How to Resolve the connection anomalies?
Steps: Long press the Leakage test button on the right side of the EV Charger 10S,to initialize the current connection mode to Bluetooth mode. Note: This operation only reset the connection mode to Bluetooth mode as default,can not reset the password meantime.

Function: If you forget the password of the charger,you can reset the password to default by following.
Steps: 1.Disconnect the power for the charger,ensure no electric shock risk.
2.Remove the cover of charger,and find the mainboard of charger.
3.Just find the password reset button on the top right of mainboard show as Image 24-1 in red cycle,do not push it now but on step4.
4.Power the charger,and wait for the finish of self-checking.Then press the reset button for 5 seconds until a beep sound.
5.Power off the charger and install the cover of charger back to use.

What to do if you forget the password
of the charger?
Warning: Do not touch any components or buttons in the charger until the charger is power OFF. Note: After the password reset steps,you should delete the charger in the APP,and add it again with the default password(123456).
