INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
-
Your Cubby Plus is set up and you are ready to install your Technology Hub!
-
Open up the Technology Hub by unscrewing the 5 black thumbscrews. Set up the camera + light by following the instructions on the following pages or referencing the included manuals.
-
Choose from the inserts that show or hide the touch controls (#8 and #9) based on what you would like your child to have access to. The “show controls” cover will allow your child to access the light, sound, and breathing settings on the smart light. The “hide controls” cover will block this area of the light so your child cannot access, and you will only be able to control the smart light from the app. Using one of these covers is REQUIRED for the Technology Hub to be used safely.
-
Once you have selected a controls cover, insert the sensor puck into the controls cover. See below for what this looks like in the Show Controls cover.
-
Then ensure the radio antenna cord is tightly wrapped + coiled on the back part of the light as shown in the photo below and as directed by the instructions on the back casing. Do not remove tape from antenna wire. Thread the camera cord through the top opening and ensure the camera lays flat against the casing. Close up the case with the 5 black thumbscrews and ensure there are no cords visible behind the light.
-
Finally, zip the Technology Hub into the canopy and secure the zipper to the loop using the lock provided (#10). Save the fabric Technology Hub cover that was previously installed in the canopy in case you need it later.
Camera Setup
- The Wyze Cam is integrated into your Cubby and provides video and audio monitoring capabilities. With the app, you can access live view, recordings, and set up notifications to your phone, Alexa, Google Home, TV, and other devices. See the included Wyze manual for more instructions or contact Cubby if you have any questions.
- Setup should take ~10 minutes. Remove the camera from the plastic casing by unscrewing the thumbscrews on the back of the housing. Then follow the instructions below and reinstall the camera.
How To Use Camera
Camera Setup
- The Wyze Cam comes with a provided 32GB microSD card which offers storage for short video clip recordings triggered by sound or motion. It’s also capable of recording up to 2 days of continuous video.
- In order to set up the camera with the microSD card properly: Open Wyze App > Select your Cubby Camera > tap settings in top right corner > Select Advanced Settings > Select Continuous Recording or Only Motion + Sound Alert Recording
Event Recording
- Continuous’ vs ‘Events-Only Recording’: When you set up ‘Continuous Recording’ in the Wyze app and the microSD card is full, it will overwrite the oldest footage and roll forward and keep recording.
- Otherwise, the Cam will only record if motion and sound are detected which trigger the ‘Events’. Events-Only Recording also helps you save space on your microSD card.
Pinch to Zoom
When viewing a video recording or live stream, you can zoom in and out using
the pinch-to-zoom gesture on your display.
Enable Smoke + Carbon Monoxide Alarm Alerts
Open Wyze app > Select your Cubby Camera > Tap Settings in top right corner >
Select Alert Settings > Turn both alerts on
Cam + Subscription (Optional)
Check out wyze.com for the latest Wyze subscription
offerings if you are interested in cloud-based video storage and additional
alert features.

-
Setup should take 5-10 minutes. The system will also work without WiFi connection. See the included Philips manual for more detailed instructions. Contact us or Philips if you have any questions.
