MOOER SD10i Intelligent Amp

INSTRUCTION MANUAL

1. Product characteristics

  • Digital modeling guitar amp equipped with Magic iAMP system;
  • 52 speaker simulations based on MNRS reverse modeling technology, and 49 effect types;
  • 10 watt stereo amplifier, 2 2-inch speakers;
  • 40 common drum machine rhythm types plus 10 metronome types;

2. Panel description

1. the power switch shift: two shifts, up to turn on the power, down to turn off the power.
2. type-C interface: used to charge the device or mobile smart device OTG digital audio recording, playback interface. Note: This interface is a recording interface for mobile devices and cannot completely replace the low- latency sound card recording function in professional host software. The use of Windows DAW requires a third-party ASIO driver, which does not rule out the possibility of driver compatibility problems.
3. power indicator: indicates the power switch status and power. The indicator is off when it is off. The indicator is off when it is on. Green indicates that the battery is greater than 50%, yellow indicates that the battery is less than 50%, red indicates that the battery is less than 25%, and blinking red indicates that the battery is about to run out and the device needs to be charged as soon as possible.
4. AMP type selection knob: 9 AMP type selection knob, can quickly select different types of main tone.
5. INSTRUMENT knob: Adjust the total volume of the instrument. The effect of this knob is equivalent to the “instrument” fader in the APP mixer interface, so in some cases the knob indicates a position that is not perceived.
6. AUDIO knob: Bluetooth audio, OTG playback audio volume knob.
7. PRESET with light key: Press the preset with light key to loop over the four presets in the current tone set, and the color of the key light indicates the current preset position.
8. headphone interface: 3.5mm TRS headphone interface, connected to the earphone use.
9,INPUT interface: 6.35mm TS instrument input interface for connecting Musical Instruments such as guitars.

Note: The speaker output of the SD10i is muted when the headphone jack is connected.

4. Get ready to start

1. boot:

To prevent damage caused by an instantaneous high volume, you are advised to turn off the INSTRUMENT and AUDIO knobs on the panel to the minimum before starting the system, and then turn on the power switch on the panel.

2. Connect instruments:

Connect your guitar to the INPUT port of the SD10i using the INSTRUMENT cable, wait a few seconds for it to turn on, and then adjust the instrument to the appropriate volume using the instrument knob.

3. Connect Bluetooth playback device:

Open the search list of Bluetooth input devices, find “SD10i Audio” in the device list and click to connect, it will show that you can play Bluetooth music through your device after successful connection. You can adjust your music to the appropriate volume using the AUDIO knob on the SD10i panel.

5. Panel Operation

The SD10i is paired with a dedicated APP for richer editing operations, but the panel is still open for most commonly used quick adjustments.

1. Preset switch

SD10i has a total of 10 groups, each group of 4, a total of 40 preset timbre. Before the iAMP APP is connected, you can loop the 4 tones in the current group by pressing the PRESET key on the panel.

2. AMP tone switching

The AMP nine gear on the panel allows quick selection of 9 different tone types;
Contains 2 Clean, 2 Overdrive, 2 Crunch and 3 Distortion.

3. Preservation of timbre

After the tone color is edited, long press the PRESET button on the panel to save. The key light blinks rapidly indicating that the saving is complete.

6. MOOER iAMP APP

1. Download the MOOER iAMP APP
Download the MOOER iAMP APP by logging into the designated app store according to your smart device system.

2. Device connection
Open the iAMP APP and select SD10i on the login page.
After entering the effect editing interface, click the Bluetooth icon in the lower right corner and select your device name (SD10i by default) from the list;
The connection is successful after the progress percentage is complete.

3. Account registration
It is recommended to register an account when using iAMP APP for the first time, so that you can log in to Magic Cloud to download massive presets made by users around the world, of course, you can also upload and share your own presets to the cloud.

4. preset selection/timbre editing/saving

– Click the Preset name area to pop up the preset list, click other preset names in the list to switch;
– Click the target tone module, select the tone type through the module name area below, slide the parameter bar to edit the parameter value;
– Click the selected module again to change the switch status;
– Long press the target module to drag left and right to change the effect chain order;
– Click the Save icon to the right of the preset name to save.

5. cloud audio upload/download

This function requires an account registration and login to use.

Download: Click the icon in the upper left corner – timbre Cloud, select the timbre type, click “Trial” to preview the timbre, click the download icon and select the location to save.

Upload: Select the target preset, click the icon in the upper left corner – Upload, fill in the description information, classify by tone type, and click Finish.

6. Atmosphere lights

The ambient light on the SD10i front panel can be set to work mode and color within the APP.
Click the icon –   Settings – Atmosphere light in the upper left corner of the APP, and the menu options that pop up are as follows:

Off: Select this option to turn off the front panel atmosphere light;

Static: Select this item after the atmosphere light static display of the current selected color;

Dynamic: After selecting this item, you can check the color block, and the atmosphere light dynamically loops to display the current selected color.

7. Standby sleep function
In order to prevent the problem of battery depletion caused by forgetting to shut down, the SD10i has designed a standby sleep function.
Click the icon – Settings – Standby sleep in the upper left corner of the APP and select the appropriate time in the list. When the device detects that there is no operation and signal input beyond the set time, it will automatically enter the sleep mode to save power. The power indicator is blinking and PRESET and TAP indicators are off. Turn any knob on the panel or press any key to wake up the device during sleep.

Note: In the following cases, the device will not enter the standby state even if the standby function is set:

A. drum machine, tuner or Looper any module is open and running;
B. when there is data in the Looper (to ensure that Looper data is not lost);
C. access the charger charging;
D. there is continuous detection of the input signal and panel operation.

8. Firmware update
SD10i supports connecting to the APP for firmware update. When a new firmware version is released (usually the APP needs to be updated), the firmware update prompt box will pop up when logging in to the APP. Click Update firmware, and the device will enter the update mode.

9. Restore factory
Click the icon – Settings – version number to restore the factory, the restored user preset data will be cleared and restored to the factory state.

7. MOOER F4 wireless nail function

The SD10i supports the connection of MOOER F4 pinless (purchased separately) for extended function control, including preset timbre
Switching, drum /LOOPER operation, TUNER tuning function, dot setting speed.

First use requires pairing
Turn on the F4 power supply, long press the A & C pin of F4 to enter the pairing mode. After entering the pairing mode, the pin light flashes, then click the pedal icon in the APP, and click to start pairing. After the pairing is successful, the F4 screen displays the current preset number.

Preset switch
Step down the presets in the A/B/C/D step down switch group, step down the A&B step up flip group (increasing), and step down the C&D step down flip group (decreasing).

TAP TEMPO sets the speed
If the delay module is enabled in the current preset, the current spike light will blink according to the delay time value, and continuously press the current preset spike to set the time value of the delay module.

TUNER Tone correction function
Long press any pin to access the TUNER function. If the APP is enabled, the TUNER screen is displayed. You can quickly use the tone correction function through the wireless pin display even if the APP is not connected. The letters on the left side of the screen show the sound name, the right side shows the pitch status, showing a steady “0” for pitch standard, counterclockwise for low, clockwise for high.

Drum machine /LOOPER control
The SD10i is equipped with an 80-second LOOPER and a drum machine with 40 common style rhythms, and supports synchronization of the drum machine LOOPER. A better control experience can be achieved with F4 wireless stepping nails.

Enter drum machine LOOPER control mode:
Press the B&C peg at the same time in the preset switching state. At this time, the wireless peg screen displays “LD”, indicating that the drum machine LOOPER mode is entered. If you need to exit, press the B&C peg again to return to the normal preset switching state.

Controls:
In drum machine LOOPER mode, A/B treadle is used as A regular LOOPER operation (A: record/place/stack, B: stop/long treadle clear);
The C/D treads are used as the starting speed (C) and the start/stop (D) of the drum machine, respectively.

In the display “LD” state, long press the C nail to enter the rhythm type selection, then the screen displays the rhythm type number, step down
C and D pegs select the drum rhythm for decreasing/increasing, respectively. This interface automatically exits to “LD” after several seconds of no operation Screen.

8. OTG recording/playback

The Type-C interface of the SD10i supports the connection of mobile devices such as mobile phones for high-quality digital audio recording/playback. When connecting the mobile phone, you need to purchase a separate OTG adapter cable matching the mobile phone (such as USB-A female to Lightning or USB-C) and USB-A to USB-C data cable or a single OTG data cable for device connection.
