Product Usage Instructions

Updating the Software via USB

1. Step 1: Select Settings > Support > About This TV and check the model code and software version.
2. Step 2: Using a computer, connect to www.samsung.com.
3. Step 3: Download the upgrade file specific to your TV model to the USB drive connected to your PC.
4. Step 4: Unzip the downloaded file and save it in the USB drive’s top-level folder.
5. Step 5: Insert the USB drive into the USB slot on the back of your TV or the side of the One Connect Box.
6. Step 6: Select Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now on your TV and follow the on-screen prompts.

Note: Do not turn off the TV or remove the USB drive until the update is complete.

Updating the Software Automatically (Network Connection)

1. Step 1: On the remote control, press the button and navigate to Settings > Support.
2. Step 2: Enable automatic updates by selecting Software Update > Auto Update.

If connected to the network, updates will be applied automatically in the background or can be initiated manually by selecting Software Update > Update Now.

Appendix – How to Prepare the USB Memory Drive (All OS)

2. Download the firmware file from Samsung.com to your computer.
3. Connect the USB Memory Drive to your PC and copy the file to it.
4. Extract the file and create a folder with the same name as the file in the root directory of the USB drive.
5. Safely disconnect the USB memory drive after extraction is complete.

Q: What should I do if my TV does not recognize the update package on the USB drive?

A: Ensure that the update package is saved in the USB drive’s top-level folder. If there are multiple files after extraction, place all files in the top-level folder.

Q: Can I interrupt the software update process?

A: It is recommended not to turn off the TV or remove the USB drive until the update is complete to avoid any issues with the update process.

Updating the Software

Update using USB

1. Step1. Select Settings > Support > About This TV and check the model code and software version.
2. Step2. Using a computer, connect to www.samsung.com.
3. Step3. Find your TV model and download the upgrade file to the USB drive connected to your PC.
4. Step4. Unzip the downloaded file stored in the USB drive. If you download the exe file, double-click the exe file to extract the update package.
   • Save the update package in the USB drive’s top-level folder. Otherwise, the TV will not be able to locate the updated package.
   • If there are multiple files after unzipping, place all of the files in the USB drive’s top-level folder.
5. Step5. Insert the USB drive into the USB slot on the back of your TV or the side of the One Connect Box.
6. Step6. Select Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now.
   • And then select Yes if prompted.
   • DO NOT turn off the TV or delete your USB drive until the update is complete.
   • The TV will turn off and on automatically after completing the software update.
   • Video and audio settings may be reset to their defaults after a software update.

Update automatically Network

Update automatically (Network connection is required)

1. Step1. On the remote control, press the button and move to Settings > Support using the directional button.
2. Step2. To enable automatic updates, select Software Update > Auto Update.
   • If the TV is connected to the network, you can have the TV’s software update itself automatically while you are watching the TV. When the background update is completed, it is applied the next time the TV is turned on.
   • To update over the Internet now, select Software Update > Update Now.
   • New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes, please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically.

How to prepare the USB Memory Drive (All OS)

Case2. Zip file download

1. Download the firmware file from Samsung.com into your computer.
   • File Name : T-KSU2EDAKUC.zip
2. Connect the USB Memory Drive to the USB port of your PC.
   • Copy the file to a USB Memory Drive.
3. Follow the below steps to extract the file and make a folder for firmware.
   • The folder should have the same name as the file and exist in the root directly An extracting process might be different by application on a PC
   • A. Click the file and ‘Extract All…’. Then select the USB driver the files will be extracted.
   • B. Make sure that USB Driver has a folder named ‘T-KSU2EDAKUC’
4. Safely disconnect the USB memory drive by clicking on ‘Safely Remove’ in the Task Bar.
