MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
-
The in-tank pre-filter should be cleaned every 2 to 4 weeks, or if you notice a decrease in the Ozone Sanitizer bubbles, depending on how often you use your Cold Stoic 3.0.
-
To clean the filter, remove the filter intake cover by popping it out of the filter housing, and unscrew the blue filter cartridge. Spray the filter pleats with a Spa Filter Cleaner, let it soak for 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly under clean water. The filter should be replaced after 3 to 6 months, or when the filter is no longer working.
-
The XL filter should be cleaned and the water changed about every 3 to 6 months, depending on how often you use your Cold Plunge. To remove the filter, unplug the power cord from the wall, the open the right-side vent or back vent panel.
-
Turn off the two red-handled ball valves on the plumbing by rotating the red handle 90 degrees, so it is perpendicular to the pipe. Then, use the included Filter Housing Wrench to carefully unscrew the blue filter bucket from the housing. Some water may spill out when unscrewed. Remove the filter cartridge and follow the above filter cleaning instructions.
-
After the XL Filter Cartridge has been cleaned and thoroughly rinsed, replace it into the blue filter bucket, and carefully screw it back onto the housing.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!
DO NOT USE THE WRENCH! TIGHTEN BY HAND! -
Open both red-handled ball valves, and plug the power cord in to initiate Priming Mode.
-
It is recommended to replace the XL Filter Cartridge about once every 6 to 12 months or as needed due to use.
-
Water Change: The water should be drained, tank cleaned and sanitized, and refilled every 3 – 6 months.
DRAINING YOUR COLD STOIC 3.0
- To drain your tank, first un-plug the power cord from the outlet, then follow the instructions on the Power Drain inside the rear vent panel (if equipped), or use the included Water Bug sump pump to remove the water from the tank.
- Refill the tank with clean water, and then plug the power cord into the outlet.
