ONSET HOBO U20 Series Water Level Loggers
Product Information
The HOBO Water Level data loggers are designed for monitoring water levels and
temperatures in wells, streams, lakes, wetlands,and tidal estuaries. These
data loggers offer high accuracy at an affordable price and do not require any
vent tubes or desiccants to
maintain. They support measurements such as water level, barometric pressure,
pressure (absolute), and temperature.
The HOBO Water Level data loggers are available in four different part
numbers: U20-001-04 / U20-001-04-Ti, U20-001-01/ U20-001-01-Ti, U20-001-02 /
U20-001-02-Ti, and U20-001-03 / U20-001-03-Ti. The range of these data loggers
varies from 0-4 m
(0-13 ft) to 0-76 m (0-250 ft) with accuracy ranging from 0.14 cm (0.005 ft)
to 0.87 cm (0.028 ft). They also have burst pressure ranging from 310 kPa (45
psia) to 1200 kPa (174 psia) and are CEcompliant.
The HOBO Water Level data loggers are available in two different kits: the Deluxe Kit and the Starter Kit. The Deluxe Kit includes acarrying case, two HOBO Water Level Loggers (one 13 foot for barometric pressure and one 13 foot, 30 foot, or 100 foot), HOBOware Pro software, and a HOBO Waterproof Data Shuttle with coupler. The Starter Kit includes a HOBO Water Level Logger,HOBOware Pro Software, and an Optic USB Base Station. Both kits are available in 13 foot, 30 foot, and 100 foot depths. The titanium version is recommended for saltwater deployment.
Product Usage Instructions
To use the HOBO Water Level data loggers, you will need a software base station and a coupler which are not included in thekit. The HOBO Base Station or HOBO Waterproof Shuttle is required for this purpose. Once you have these, follow the below steps:
- Mount the data logger in the desired location with the mounting bail. The dimensions of the data logger are 2.46 cm diameter x 15 cm (0.97 x 5.9 in) hole in mounting bail.
- Connect the data logger to the software base station or coupler using the provided cables.
- Configure the data logger according to your requirements using the HOBOware Pro software.
- Place the data logger in the water and start recording measurements.
- Retrieve the data from the data logger using the software base station or coupler and analyze it using the HOBOware Pro software.
