Important Safety Instructions

The safety of this equipment complies with industry norms and meets legal equipment safety requirements. However, as manufacturers, we consider it our duty to provide you with the following safety instructions.

  • It is essential that you store this user’s manual in a safe place so that you can use it in the future.
  • Before putting the Cold-Plunge Tank into operation for the first time, check that it has not been damaged during transport. Never use a damaged Cold-Plunge Tank. If some parts are damaged, contact the supplier.
  • The warranty does not cover damages arising from external factors (foods, fire, rodents, etc.), for details please refer to the warranty card.
  • Keep packaging materials out of the reach of children!
  • Do not place or store the Cold-Plunge Tank where it can fall.
  • Keep cigarettes and other open flames away from the Cold-Plunge Tank. There could be danger of a fire hazard.

General Safety Instructions

  • Changing the technical parameters or making any other modifications to the Cold-Plunge Tank is dangerous.
  • Never disassemble, repair, or alter the unit. Doing so may void the Cold-Plunge Tank warranty and may cause fire, electric shock, over-heating, or short-circuiting.
  • Do not store or place any flammable substances near the Cold-Plunge Tank.
  • Never use accessories, which have not been supplied by or explicitly recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Exercise caution when maintaining your equipment, be sure all components are firmly screwed or latched into position.
  • Before connecting this Cold-Plunge Tank to a power socket, make sure the voltage stated on the label of the Cold-Plunge Tank corresponds to the voltage in your wall socket.
  • Ensure that the power plug contacts do not come into contact with water or moisture.
  • Do not place the Cold-Plunge Tank in the vicinity of an open flame or devices that are sources of heat.
  • Do not place the power cord near hot places or over sharp objects. Do not place heavy items on the power cord. Position the power cord so that it will not be stepped on or tripped over.
  • Do not permit electric appliances near the tank to prevent the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not disconnect the Cold-Plunge Tank from the power socket by pulling on the power cord. This could damage the power cord or the power socket. Disconnect the cord from the power socket by gently pulling the plug of the power cord.
  • If the power cord is damaged, please contact the manufacturer.
  • To avoid the danger of injury by electrical shock, do not repair the Cold-Plunge Tank yourself or make any adjustments to it without the advice or guidance of the manufacturer.
  • Tampering with the Cold-Plunge Tank during the warranty period may void the warranty, or parts thereof.

  • The Cold-Plunge Tank is designed for single occupancy only. Avoid overcrowding the tank to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Do not allow pets or other animals into the Cold-Plunge Tank. Ensure that the tank cover is securely closed to prevent accidental entry or injury to animals.
  • Prolonged immersion in the Cold-Plunge Tank may lead to hypothermia. Limit the duration of each session according to personal tolerance levels. Monitor body temperature regularly and exit the tank if feeling too cold.

Cold Therapy can be dangerous to people with certain health conditions. Please consult your physician before using this product.

Risk of death/injury by electrical shock
High voltage present inside the Cold-Plunge Tank. Risk of death or severe injury if proper safety measures are not adopted

  • High voltage is present inside the Cold-Plunge Tank. Don’t touch any electrical component with bare hands. There is a risk of severe electric shock.
  • Do not plug or unplug the power plug with wet hands. Doing so may cause electrical shock.
  • Do not disassemble the Cold-Plunge Tank.
  • Do no use any outlet or wiring equipment beyond its specified rating.
  • Never use a damaged power cord as it may result in a fire, electrical shock, overheating or short circuiting.

Extreme caution must be exercised to prevent accidental drowning.

  • Ensure that all suction guards are properly installed to prevent body and hair entrapment.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain suction guards to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Do not leave the Cold-Plunge Tank unattended while in use. Keep the tank securely covered when not in use.
  • Exercise caution when entering or exiting the Cold-Plunge Tank. Use support if necessary.
  • Do not use the Cold-Plunge Tank if you are sick, vomiting, have diarrhea, or any form of infectious disease.
  • Avoid using the tank if you have open wounds or skin infections. Consult a physician before using the tank if unsure about your health condition.
  • Do not consume drugs or alcohol before or during the use of the Cold-Plunge Tank. Alcohol and drugs can impair judgment and increase the risk of accidents.
  • Pregnant or possibly pregnant women should consult a physician before using the Cold-Plunge Tank. The use of the tank during pregnancy may pose risks to the health of the mother and unborn child.
  • Ensure that all users are aware of the risks and safety precautions.

Child safety
Don’t allow children to use the Cold-Plunge Tank. It is designed for ages 18 or above.

  • The Cold-Plunge Tank is not designed for children under 18 years of age.
  • Parents or guardians must closely supervise any child permitted to use the tank. Parents or guardians allowing a child under 18 years of age to use this product assume all risk and legal liability.
  • Children should only use the tank if deemed safe by a physician.
  • This Cold-Plunge Tank is not a toy and should never be given to children without strict and close supervision of an adult.
  • Do not leave children near the Cold-Plunge Tank without supervision.
  • Keep packaging materials out of the reach of children!

Risk of Damage to the Product
Never use Toilet cleaner, benzene, paint thinner, powdered cleanser or nylon scrubbing pads to clean the product. These items may damage or crack the material and cause injury or malfunction.

Shipping Instructions

  • The equipment weights around 365 pounds, hence use caution and multiple able-bodied people when moving this tank. Use appropriate safety equipment.

Receiving Inspection

  • Upon receiving the shipment, inspect the packaging for any signs of damage or mishandling during transit.
  • Document any visible issues or discrepancies on the delivery receipt and notify the manufacturer immediately.

Unpacking Procedure

  • Carefully remove the packaging materials from the Cold Stoic 3.0, taking care not to damage any components.
  • Use appropriate tools, such as box cutters or scissors, to safely open the packaging without causing harm to the product.

Component Verification

  • Verify that all components of the Cold Stoic 3.0 are present and accounted for, as indicated in this manual.
  • Check for any signs of damage or defects and report them to the manufacturer or distributor for resolution.

Storage Precautions
Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the product and ensure adequate ventilation around it.

Assembly & Installation

Assembly Prerequisites
Please make sure that the following prerequisites are met before installation.

  1. Adequate power wiring is in place.
  2. Temperature sensing wiring is in place and functional.
  3. There are no flammables or explosives stored nearby.
  4. There is adequate air passage in the area.
  5. There is no excessive dust and dirt in the installation area.

Step by Step Cold-Plunge Tank Assembly & Installation
Follow these simple steps to accurately assemble and install the Cold-Plunge Tank.

Step 1. Unpacking the Cold Stoic 3.0

  • Carefully remove the packaging materials, ensuring not to damage any components.
  • Verify that all parts, including the tank, chiller unit, lid, hoses, and accessories, are included and undamaged.

Step 2. Positioning & Powering Up the Cold Stoic 3.0

  • Choose a suitable location for the Cold Stoic 3.0, considering factors such as space, access to power, and ventilation.
  • Place the tank on a level surface, ensuring stability and safety during operation.
  • Locate the power cord attached to the chiller unit.

Step 3. Filling the Tank with Water

  • Open the lid of the Cold Stoic 3.0 to access the interior.
  • Using a hose or water source, fill the tank with water without the in-tank/external filter to ensure water reaches the pump and allows air bubbles to get out of the system. Fill up tank 6”- 8” from the top of the tank.
  • Locate the GFCI plug and connect to a 110-volt dedicated circuit.

Step 4. Securing the Tank Lid

  • Carefully place the lid on top of the Cold Stoic 3.0 tank, ensuring it fits securely and seals properly.
  • Check for any gaps or misalignments and adjust the lid as needed to ensure a tight seal.

Step 5. Final Inspection and Setup

  • Inspect the entire assembly, including all connections, hoses, and fittings, for any signs of leakage or damage.
  • Double-check the power supply and ensure all electrical connections are secure.
  • Perform a trial run of the Cold Stoic 3.0 to ensure proper functionality before regular use.
  • While the system primes, inspect all of the piping and fittings for any leaks and make sure you can see bubbles shooting into the tank from the inlet located at the very bottom of the tank.
  • After the system has finished priming and no leaks are found, insert the in-tank filter by threading clockwise.

Step 6. Setup Through the Display

  • Click on the rotating arrows to set display proper orientation
  • Setup clock by tapping on the right arrow key and navigating to the settings menu
  • Tap on time to set the clock, confirm change by selecting the checkmark.
  • Tap on the left arrow key on the top left of the display and scroll down to Filter to set the ozone. Start and End time should be set to the same hour and minutes and matching morning or afternoon (AM PM) in order to set ozone to run 24/7. Tap on the checkmark to confirm changes.
  • Tap on the left arrow key on the top left of the display until arriving at the main screen to set to the desired temperature.
  • Tap on the temperature reading being displayed and scroll left or right to your desired temperature. If the desired temperature is max heat, access the Heat menu under settings and set Heat mode to Ready and Temp Range to High. Always keep Heat mode set to Ready and toggle between Low and High under Temp Range to achieve lowest and highest temperatures.

Step 8. Control my Spa Setup (Mobile app)

  • Plug in the supplied Ethernet cable to a home router
  • Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the CMS Gateway Ultra Home Module
  • Plug in the supplied power supply to wall power
  • Plug in the power supply into the CMS Gateway Ultra Home Module micro-USB power Port
  • Stand next to your CS 3.0 and ensure the power is on
  • Download The ControlMySpa app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play store
  • Open the app and tap on SETUP, follow the instructions in the app to setup an account
  • A steady green light is an indication that the CMS Gateway Ultra Home Module has successfully connected to the internet

Step 9. Control my Spa Setup (Mobile app)

  • Log in to access the main menu. Adjust temperature from hot to cold by scrolling up or down. If the desired temperature is max heat, tap on the toggle button and set to High.
    Always keep the Rest/Ready toggle button to the Ready position.

  • Tap on the 3 lines at the top left of your screen to access other settings.

  • Scroll to the Spa Clock setting to update the spa time

  • Tap on the 3 lines to go back to the settings display and tap on the Filter Cycle to set the ozone. Set Filter cycle to run 24hrs.

Tank Operation

Please follow these steps for safe and efficient operation.
Please do not try to alter any wiring connections or technical parameters as this may result in permanent damage to Cold-Plunge Tank.

Preparation

  • Verify that the cold plunge tank is securely connected to a stable power source and that all components are in working order.
  • Check the water level to ensure it is within the recommended range (3-6 inches above the top of the water skimmer housing.
  • Add or remove water as necessary to maintain the optimal water level for operation.
  • Use the touchpad screen to set your desired temperature level and allow sufficient time for the water temperature to reach the desired level.

Setting The Time

Setting The Temperature

  • The system may take a few more seconds to display the current water temperature. To change the target tempera-ture, touch the Temperature display, and scroll the selector to the right or left until the desired temperature is selected.
  • You may use the Temperature Shortcut buttons to go directly to 45 deg F or 104 deg F
  • In cooling mode, the water temperature will drop at a rate between 1.5 to 3 degrees F per hour. In Heating mode the temperature will rise at a rate between 4 and 6 degrees F per hour.

Safety Precautions

  • Prior to entering the cold plunge tank, ensure that the area surrounding the tank is clear of any obstacles to prevent tripping hazards.
  • Wear appropriate swimwear or wetsuits to protect against the cold-water temperature.
  • Individuals with pre-existing medical conditions should consult a healthcare professional before using the cold plunge tank.

Entering the Tank

  • Enter the cold plunge tank safely and gradually before lowering yourself into the water in a seated position.
  • Take slow, deep breaths and acclimate your body to the cold-water temperature.
  • Fully immerse yourself in the water, allowing it to cover your entire body up to the neck for optimal therapeutic benefits, though some people do prefer to leave certain body parts, such as arms or hands out of the water.

Breathing and Relaxation Techniques

  • Practice controlled breathing techniques to help relax your body and mind while in the cold water.
  • Focus on inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling slowly through your mouth to regulate your breath and calm your nervous system.
  • Relax your muscles and avoid tensing up, allowing yourself to sink into a state of relaxation, but take caution not to fall asleep as sleeping in the cold plunge could pose a drowning danger.

Duration of Immersion

  • Begin with shorter immersion times, such as 1-2 minutes, for individuals new to cold plunge therapy.
  • Gradually increase the duration of your sessions as your tolerance improves, aiming for a maximum immersion time of 5 minutes. Most studies show that just 2-3 minutes per session is all you need to get the majority of cold therapy benefits.
  • Pay attention to your body’s signals and exit the tank if you experience discomfort, numbness, or dizziness.

Exiting the Tank

  • Slowly exit the cold plunge tank by carefully and cautiously lifting yourself back into a seated position on the breath deck.
  • Use the designated step to lower yourself off of the unit, taking care to maintain your balance and stability.
  • Allow your body to adjust to the change in temperature as you transition from cold water to the ambient room temperature.
  • Dry off thoroughly with a towel and dress warmly to retain body heat and prevent chilling after leaving the tank.

Post-Immersion Recovery

  • Engage in light physical activity, such as walking or gentle stretching, to promote circulation and warm up your muscles after exiting the cold plunge tank.
  • Hydrate your body by drinking water or electrolyte-rich beverages to replenish fluids lost during the immersion session.
  • Take time to rest and relax, allowing your body to fully recover and reap the therapeutic benefits of the cold plunge experience.

This quick reference is not a repair or maintenance guide. Efforts to alter Cold-Plunge Tank parameters may result in permanent damage to the Cold-Plunge Tank.
The electrical parts inside the Cold-Plunge Tank are non-serviceable, do not try to modify them in any way. It may result in electric shock or serious injury.

1 Chiller Unit Every 6 months –     Turn off the power supply to the

chiller unit.

–     Clean the chiller coils using a soft brush or cloth to remove any dust or debris.

–     Check for any signs of damage or wear on the coils.

–     Turn on the power supply and test the chiller unit to ensure proper functionality.

2| Tank Interior Cleaning| Weekly| –     Drain the water from the tank completely.

–     Use a mild detergent solution and a soft sponge to clean the interior surfaces of the tank.

–     Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue.

–     Wipe with a dry with a clean cloth.

–     Refill the tank with fresh water.

3| In-tank pre-filter| 2 – 4 Weeks| –     The in-tank pre-filter should be cleaned every 2 to 4 weeks, or if you notice a decrease in the Ozone Sanitizer bubbles, depending on how often you use your Cold Stoic 3.0.

–     To clean the filter, remove the filter intake cover by popping it out of the filter housing, and unscrew the blue filter cartridge. Spray the filter pleats with a Spa Filter Cleaner, let it soak for 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly under clean water. The filter should be replaced after 3 to 6 months, or when the filter is no longer working.

4 XL Filter 3 to 6 months –     The XL filter should be cleaned and the

water changed about every 3 to 6 months, depending on how often you use your Cold Plunge. To remove the filter, unplug the power cord from the wall, the open the right-side vent or back vent panel.

–     Turn off the two red-handled ball valves on the plumbing by rotating the red handle 90 degrees, so it is perpendicular to the pipe. Then, use the included Filter Housing Wrench to carefully unscrew the blue filter bucket from the housing. Some water may spill out when unscrewed. Remove the filter cartridge and follow the above filter cleaning instructions.

–     After the XL Filter Cartridge has been cleaned and thoroughly rinsed, replace it into the blue filter bucket, and carefully screw it back onto the housing.

–  Open both red-handled ball valves, and plug the power cord in to initiate Priming Mode.

5| XL Filter Cartridge| 6 to 12 months| –     It is recommended to replace the XL Filter Cartridge about once every 6 to 12 months or as needed due to use.
6| Water Change| 3 to 6 months| –     The water should be drained, tank cleaned and sanitized, and refilled every 3 – 6 months.
7| Exterior Cleaning| As needed| –     Use a mild detergent solution and a soft cloth to clean the exterior surfaces of the cold plunge tank.

–     Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

–     Dry with a clean cloth to prevent water spots.

8| Electrical System Inspection| Annually| –     Test the Ground Fault Circuit Interruptor by pressing the yellow “TEST” button on the power cord end. The power should shut off completely. To reset the GFCI, press the red “RESET” button.

–     Follow the setup steps to prime the pumps, set the time and temperature.

Troubleshooting Guide

Warranty Information

RenuTherapy extends the following 5-Year Limited Warranty, which applies only to non-commercial, residential use of the RenuTherapy Cold Plunge Tank. The warranty includes replacing parts shown to have defects in materials or workmanship of any parts manufactured or supplied by RenuTherapy. This warranty covers defects or malfunctions that arise during normal use conditions. The warranty does not cover damage due to water leaks from the unit, poor water chemistry, neglected filter care and replacement, freezing conditions, power outages, lack of attention to low water flow, or any other form of neglect, misuse, or abuse. Specific other exclusions apply, as further described in this Limited Warranty. All components covered under this warranty are warrantied for a period of 5 years from the date of shipment, except for the water chiller, which is warrantied for a period of 1 year from the date of shipment. An extended warranty for the water chiller is available for purchase (see details later in this document).
The Limited Warranty applies only to the original purchaser (or original owner for a product presented as a gift). In addition, it only covers defects to the Cold Plunge Tank discovered within the applicable Limited Warranty period.

Water Chiller Extended Warranty
An extended warranty for the water chiller is available directly from RenuTherapy at https://www.renutherapy.com/products/extended-warranty- chiller if separately purchased within 364 days of shipment. The extended warranty is for 4 years after the expiration of the original 1-year warranty period, for a total of a 5-year warranty period from the date of shipment.

How to Obtain Warranty Service
For service under this Limited Warranty, please contact us at help@renutherapy.com. Please provide us with the following information: name of the purchaser, proof of purchase, dated receipt, item purchased, and details of failure. Submit Claims within the specified warranty period.

RenuTherapy Technicians handle Most warranty issues via email or phone with one of our RenuTherapy technicians. RenuTherapy will cover the part(s) if a repair covered under this warranty is necessary, but the customer is responsible for any shipping-related costs. The customers perform most repairs/component replacements. In cases where the customer cannot complete the necessary repairs, RenuTherapy, at their discretion, will pay up to $50 per hour, for a maximum of 2 hours, for an approved general service provider to perform the necessary repairs.

RenuTherapy will continue to offer reasonable phone support for issues occurring after the expiration of the warranty period as it sees fit. However, the customer will be 100% responsible for any associated costs, such as parts, labor, shipping, etc., after the expiration of the applicable warranty period.

Warranty Service Performance
RenuTherapy reserves the right to determine whether replacement or repair of a covered part or item is necessary. The remainder of the original Limited Warranty period covers any component(s) repaired or replaced under this warranty. Additional travel fees, in rural areas, for service by an approved general service provider are not covered and are the customer’s responsibility.

RenuTherapy may, at its discretion, either provide a replacement tub (of equal value) or have the tub shipped to the factory facility for repairs if unable to complete covered warranty repairs on-site. The customer will be responsible for any tub removal costs associated with repairing or installing a replacement tub. The remainder of the original Limited Warranty period covers any repaired or replaced tub under this warranty.

Warranty Limitations & Exclusions
This warranty does not cover the water filter or the loss of the water filter housing O-ring during the filter replacement process. Replacement filters and Filter Housing O-rings are available for purchase, but replacement is entirely the customer’s responsibility. This Limited Warranty does not provide coverage for items purchased separately, such as oil and dirt buoys, sanitizer sticks, Renu Total Protective Cover, or any other article not included with the original tub purchase.

This warranty is automatically void if RenuTherapy or a designated representative determines that the product has been altered, abused, neglected, or in any other way improperly used or treated. The customer is responsible for regular maintenance of the product. Any problems or failures arising from failure to provide proper maintenance, water chemistry/balance will void this warranty. Using improper or harsh cleaning agents will also void this warranty. This warranty will be void if the customer uses any replacement parts or accessories not genuine or original to the unit or provided by RenuTherapy.

This warranty is valid for in-home & residential use only and only applies to units sold and operated in the United States of America (this does include all 50 US States, but not any US Territories outside of the 50 US States). Any commercial use of this product will automatically void this warranty. This warranty does not cover repairs performed by someone who RenuTherapy has not approved to perform such repairs. The tub owner accepts full liability for any repairs provided by someone not approved by RenuTherapy.

The liability, if any, of the manufacturer, RenuTherapy, shall not exceed the original purchase value of the product covered under this warranty. RenuTherapy is not responsible for any incidental damages, such as freight damage or any other consequential damage. RenuTherapy is not liable for any injury or loss that arises from any defect covered under this limited warranty, either incidental or consequential, including but not limited to loss of use of the tub, even if RenuTherapy was made aware of potential damage before the occurrence of said damage.

This limited warranty is the exclusive warranty given by RenuTherapy and supersedes any prior, contrary, or additional representations. All other warranties, express or implied, including any statutory warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed except to the extent prohibited by law. In such an event, such warranty is limited to the duration of the warranty periods set forth above. This exclusion applies even if this warranty fails its essential purposes and regardless of whether damages are sought for breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, or strict liability in tort or under any other legal theory. In no event is RenuTherapy, LLC liable for any other form of damages, whether direct, indirect, liquidated, incidental, consequential, punitive, exemplary, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of anticipated savings, or revenue, loss of income, loss of business, loss of production, loss of opportunity or loss of reputation. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other legal rights, which vary from state to state.

RenuTherapy is not responsible for compliance with local, state, or federall health/safety codes or laws.
After the end of warranty period, RENUTHERAPY is only authorized for maintenance, modifications and request of technical service. Customers can request all their demands from the contact information shown below;

Packaging Material
The meaning of the symbol on the Cold-Plunge Tank, its accessory or packaging indicates that this Cold-Plunge Tank shall not be treated as household waste. Please, dispose of this Cold-Plunge Tank at your applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical & electronic equipment waste. Alternatively, in some states of the European Union or other European states you may return your devices to your local retailer when buying an equivalent new Cold-Plunge Tank. The correct disposal of this Cold-Plunge Tank will help save valuable natural resources and help in preventing the potential negative impact on the environment and human health, which could be caused as a result of improper liquidation of waste. Please ask your local authorities or the nearest waste collection center for further details. The improper disposal of this type of waste may fall subject to national regulations for fines.
