The G Series GAMING NOTEBOOK PC is a high-performance laptop designed for gaming enthusiasts. It features an array of advanced features and powerful components to deliver an immersive gaming experience. The notebook is equipped with an efficient cooling system to prevent overheating during intense gaming sessions. The notebook comes with a built-in camera and an array of microphones for video conferencing and recording purposes. It also includes a display panel, a numeric keypad, a keyboard, and a touchpad for easy navigation and input. The G Series GAMING NOTEBOOK PC offers various I/O ports and slots for connectivity. It has USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports, including a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-CTM/Thunderbolt 3 combo port, an HDMI port, a headphone/headset/microphone jack, and a power (DC) input port. It also features a security slot for added protection.

Product Usage Instructions

Getting started

  1. Charge your Notebook PC:
  2. Connect the DC power connector to your Notebook PC’s power (DC) input port.
  3. Plug the AC power adapter into a 100V~240V power source.
  4. Note: The power adapter may vary in appearance, depending on models and your region.
  5. Lift to open the display panel.
  6. Press the power button.

Note : Charge the Notebook PC for 3 hours before using it in battery mode for the first time.

Maintaining your Notebook PC

Removing the bottom cover for cleaning:
WARNING! Turn off your Notebook PC and disconnect all connected peripherals before removing the bottom cover. Do not turn on your Notebook PC before reattaching the bottom cover.

  1. Remove the screws from the Notebook PC’s bottom cover.
  2. Lift your display panel half-open and position your Notebook PC as shown in the manual.
  3. Face the bottom cover and firmly hold both sides of your Notebook PC.
  4. Use your thumbs to slide the bottom cover upwards and firmly press on the top corners until the bottom part pops open.
  5. Pull out the bottom cover and remove it completely from your Notebook PC.

To reattach the bottom cover:

  1. Align and hook the bottom cover to your Notebook PC as shown in the manual.
  2. Adjust the bottom cover to ensure the clips are inserted in place.
  3. Close your display panel.
  4. Secure the bottom cover using the screws you removed earlier.

WARNING! The bottom of the Notebook PC can get warm to hot while in use or while charging the battery pack. When working on your Notebook PC, do not place it on surfaces that can block the vents. Keep it away from your body while it is connected to a power source.

  • Closing the lid when the system is under high load forces your Notebook PC to go into sleep mode to prevent overheating.

Getting started

  1. Charge your Notebook PC

    • A. Connect the DC power connector into your Notebook PC’s power (DC) input port.

  2. Lift to open the display panel

Removing the bottom cover for cleaning
WARNING!

  • A. Remove the screws from the Notebook PC’s bottom cover.

  • D. Use your thumbs to slightly slide the bottom cover upwards and firmly press on the top corners until the bottom part pops open.
  • E. Pull out the bottom cover and remove it completely from your Notebook PC.

To reattach the bottom cover:

  • A. Align and hook the bottom cover to your Notebook PC as shown below.
  • B. Adjust the bottom cover to ensure the clips are inserted in place.
  • C. Close your display panel.
  • D. Secure the bottom cover using the screws you removed earlier.

Safety notices for your Notebook PC

WARNING!
The bottom of the Notebook PC can get warm to hot while in use or while charging the battery pack. When working on your Notebook PC, do not place it on surfaces that can block the vents.
CAUTION!

  • This Notebook PC should only be used in environments with ambient temperatures between 5°C (41°F) and 35°C (95°F).
  • Refer to the rating label on the bottom of your Notebook PC and ensure that your power adapter complies with this rating.
  • The power adapter may become warm to hot while in use. Do not cover the adapter and keep it away from your body while it is connected to a power source.

IMPORTANT!

  • Ensure that your Notebook PC is connected to a grounded power adapter before turning it on for the first time.
  • When using your Notebook PC on power adapter mode, the socket outlet must be near to the unit and easily accessible.
  • Locate the input/output rating label on your Notebook PC and ensure that it matches the input/output rating information on your power adapter. Some Notebook PC models may have multiple rating output currents based on the available SKU.
  • Power adapter information:
    • Input voltage: 100-240Vac
    • Input frequency: 50-60Hz
    • Rating output current: 9.23A (180W) / 11.8A (230W)
    • Rating output voltage: 19.5V

WARNING!
Read the following precautions for your Notebook PC’s battery:

  • Only ASUS-authorized technicians should remove the battery inside the device (for non-removable batteries only).
  • The battery used in this device may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if removed or disassembled.
  • Follow the warning labels for your personal safety.
  • Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
  • Do not dispose of in fire.
  • Never attempt to short-circuit your Notebook PC’s battery.
  • Never attempt to disassemble and reassemble the battery (for non-removable battery only).
  • Discontinue usage if leakage is found.
  • This battery and its components must be recycled or disposed of properly.
  • Keep the battery and other small components away from children.
