You need a USB stick formatted with the FAT32 filesystem and 256MB of free space. Many sticks will be formatted with FAT32 out of the box. However, if necessary, please see formatting instructions for Windows on page 2 and Mac on page 3. We have occasionally found some USB sticks to be incompatible with the T4/T4•R. If a USB stick isn’t recognised, please try anothe one.

  1. Use your computer to unzip the downloaded file Manhattan T4 T4-R v1.07.zip and extract the folder Manhattan T4 & T4-R v1.07.

  2. The folder contains the two upgrade files: Copy autoupgrade.cfg and Manhattan T4 T4-R 1.07.usb to the root of the USB stick.

  3. Connect the USB stick to the USB port on the box (see below) and wait few seconds for the USB Update Detected screen to be shown.
Press OK to select Install Update.
    USB port location
Model T4: On the left side
    Model T4•R: At the back

  4. The box will reboot and display the S/W Upgrade screen.
IMPORTANT: During upgrading please DO NOT turn off the power to your box.

  5. After the upgrade is completed, the box will automatically reboot and display the Software Updated screen along with the updated version 1.07
Disconnect the USB and then press OK to continue.

Tip: After upgrading you can also check the software version by pressing HOME and selecting: Information.
