User Guide
Preparation
-
Clean & Dry Area: Make sure the area and tile joints are completely dry, clean and free from debris.
-
Use Wax or Tape: Apply a liberal amount of priming wax to the tile surface on both sides of the grout line, but not inside the joint.
Tape: If using tile trim, tape the trim to avoid GoPoxy adhering to the trim.
For natural stone/porous/rough/textured tiles, it is advised to tape the tile joints before using GoPoxy to ensure easy removal. -
Secure the Tube: Put the GoPoxy tube into the gun. Making sure it clicks in place.
-
Fix the Nozzle: Make sure the nozzle is fully secured.
Application
- Discard the 30cm: Squeeze out about 30cm of the mix to ensure the 2 components have mixed properly to a 1:1 ratio.
Temperature Tip: The material should be easy to dispense, but not runny.
If the material is difficult to dispense, warm the tubes by steeping in
lukewarm water.
If the material is too runny, cool the material in water. Failure to do so may
result in the material ‘sagging’ after application.
- Do a Test Run: Try it out on a small area first to get the hang of it.
- Working Time (complete in sections): GoPoxy working time is 15-30 minutes (depending on temperature). It is advised to apply and finish GoPoxy in sections.
- Apply to joints: Apply slowly to ensure the joints are completely filled.
- Finish the Joints: Tools are provided in the kit for external, internal and flush tiles. Choose your tool and press the material into the joint.
- Cross Joints: Run straight through the cross joint first, then finish by starting at the tile corners and moving away from the cross joint.
After Application
- Check Your Work: Make sure the grout looks good before it dries. If you need to fix it, do it before it fully cures.
- When dry, remove excess material: When GoPoxy hardens you can remove the excess from the surface of the tile.
- Saving the Tube: If you don’t use all the GoPoxy, remove the nozzle, wipe the top of the tube, and apply the cap to keep the material airtight. When you use the tube again, attach a new nozzle and dispose of the first 30cm.
