Note : Always ensure the silicone USB cover is tightly sealed to prevent any leakage after charging or inserting the memory card.

First Use

Inserting the MicroSD Card

To insert the memory card, first press down the buckle of the charging cover to reveal the memory card slot, then insert the memory card in the orientation shown and close the cover.
Note: Be sure to turn off the device before installation.AKASO-

Installing the Battery

Press down the buckles of the battery cover to reveal the battery slot, then place the battery into its slot and close the battery cover properly.

Charging the Night Vision Goggles

To charge the goggles, press down the buckle of the charging cover to reveal the Type-C power port. Connect the Type-C charging cable to the port, and then plug the goggles into a USB outlet or a USB port on a computer.
Note : The goggles’ indicator light will flash while charging and remain solid when fully charged. If you prefer not to have the indicator visible, you can easily disable it in the system settings. However, the indicator will still flash while charging even when the goggles are powered off, regardless of the “Indicator Light” setting.AKASO-SEEMOR-200-Night--Vision-Goggles-

You can also charge the battery separately using the battery charger. This allows you to replace the depleted battery with a fully charged one, ensuring uninterrupted capture and meeting your needs for extended usage.

Tips: Be sure to insert the battery into the battery charger as illustrated; the battery charger’s indicator light will appear red while charging and turn blue when fully charged; you can purchase some batteries as a reserve.

Installing the Night Vision Goggles

You can hang the goggles around your neck. To do this, simply attach the provided neckstrap to the two small hooks on the goggles and wear them around your neck for close observation.

You can also mount the night vision goggles to different places using compatible accessories thanks to the two 1/4-inch nuts. This allows you to unleash your creativity to better capture any frame-worthy moment.

Getting Started

Powering On and Off

With the night vision goggles turned off, press and hold the Power button for two seconds to power on.
With the night vision goggles turned on, press the Power button to turn off the display; press and hold the Power button for two seconds to turn off the device.
Tip: Pressing the Power button when the battery has just been installed also switches on the device.

On the preview screen, press the SHOT button to start recording video. The recording time will be displayed on the top of the screen. To stop recording, press the SHOT button again. The video file will be automatically saved to the device album which can be viewed via System Settings → Album.AKASO-

Tips:

  1. When the level setting is off, the Level icon will disappear.
  2. When the compass setting is off, the Compass icon will disappear.
  3. Setting the video resolution will restart the device.

Color Mode Switching

Seemor-200 offers AI full-color and Infrared black-and-white modes. By switching between the two modes, Seemor-200 can not only accommodate a wide range of lighting conditions but also enhance the visual experience for you. With AI full-color mode enabled, Seemor-200 can restore 99% of colors, allowing you to capture video with stunning clarity and authentic color, even in low-light conditions or in complete darkness. With IR black-and-white mode enabled, you can press and hold the IR + or IR – button to adjust the amount of light entering the IR fill light from 0 to 7. Choosing the “0” option indicates that the IR fill light is turned off. You can also adjust the LCD screen brightness in back-list conditions for better clarity. Options include Low, Medium (default), and High.

Adjusting the Focal Length

The focus handwheel is designed with a rotatable feature for manual focusing. This allows you to adjust the focal length based on your observation position, ensuring optimal visual clarity.
We recommend you minimize the focal length after using this device. A longer focal length allows you to zoom in on larger scenes, but is also associated with a smaller shooting angle and vice versa. This device supports up to 16x zoom, allowing you to adjust the focal length according to your specific needs.
Tip: You can press the IR + button or IR – button to adjust the focal length in both AI full-color and IR black-and-white mode.

Using the Level Feature

The level feature ensures accurate alignment of the night vision goggles, helping you maintain stability and alignment, especially in low-light conditions. To use this feature, follow the steps below:

  1. Place the night vision goggles horizontally before leveling.
  2. Press the MENU button to enter the system settings screen.
  3. Press the IR- button to locate the “Level” option.
  4. Press the SHOT button to enter the setting screen and select the “On” option.
  5. Press the SHOT button to complete the level calibration progress.
  6. Press the MENU button to return to the preview screen.

Tip: With this feature enabled, the level icon will appear on the screen to detect device tilt. If you notice any orientation issues, go to the system settings to manually recalibrate the tilt.AKASO-SEEMOR-200-Night--Vision-

Using the Shutter Button

Seemor-200 is turned on in Video mode by default. In Video mode, press the SHOT button on the device to start recording video at the set capture duration. To stop recording, press the SHOT button again. To take a photo, switch to Photo mode by pressing the MODE button, then press the SHOT button to complete the photo-capturing progress.= Video and photo files will be saved to the corresponding folder. To view these files, press the MENU button to access the device’s System settings → Album. You can also choose to delete any file you do not like. Tip: The deleted file can’t be recovered.

Using the AKASO AURA App

The AKASO AURA app works with the Seemor-200 night vision goggles to bring you a better user experience. Once you have connected the app to your Seemor-200 via its built-in Wifi, you can view the device’s real-time status, preview and download the recorded videos or photos using your phone. You can also control your Seemor-200 to capture via the phone app.

Downloading the AKASO AURA App

To sync your Seemor-200 with the app, download the AKASO AURA app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) by searching for “AKASO AURA”.

Connecting to the AKASO AURA App via Wifi

Follow the steps below to connect your Seemor-200 to the AKASO AURA app.

  1. Turn on the device Wifi. To do this, press the MENU button to access the system settings screen, then press the IR – button till you locate the Wifi Hotspot option, and press the SHOT button to enter the Wifi screen (see Figure 2). On this screen, press the SHOT button again to turn on Wifi. The device will enter Wifi mode and display the Wifi information (See Figure 3).   2. Connect the device Wifi. To do this, enter your phone’s Wifi settings page, find the Wifi SSID in the list and tap on it, then enter the password: 12345678 for connection.
    Tip : Once the device Wifi is connected, a “No Internet Connection” or “Weak Security” notification will appear since your phone’s data is paused. You can ignore it and continue the app connection.AKASO-SEEMOR-200-Night

  3. Connect to the app. To do this, open the AKASO AURA app on your phone, and tap the “Connect” option to connect. Your Seemor-200 is successfully connected to the app. AKASO-SEEMOR-200-Night--Vision-Goggles-fig-14

    • Note: Tapping the “Connect” option before connecting the device Wifi will redirect to your phone’s settings page for Wifi connection.

Capturing with the App

On the preview screen of the app, tap “Video” or “Photo” to enter Video or Photo mode. In Video or Photo mode, tap the green Shutter icon to record video or take a photo. To stop recording in Video mode, tap the Shutter icon again .AKASO-SEEMOR-200-Night--Vision-Goggles-fig-15

Note: While recording a video, the REC icon will appear on the preview screen and flash to indicate the duration of the recording.

Playing Back Videos on the App

  1. Tap the Album icon in the bottom right corner to enter the playback screen, then tap “DVR” to view all the photos and videos captured by your Seemor-200.
  2. Choose the video or photo you want to playback, tap on it in full screen, and it will play. If you wish to delete this file, simply tap the Delete icon in the bottom right corner followed by the “Confirm” option. The selected file will be deleted.AKASO-SEEMOR-200-Night--Vision-Goggles-fig-16
    • Note: The AKASO AURA app is only for the Seemor-200 night vision goggles.

Downloading Videos on the App

  1. Enter the playback screen, then tap “DVR” to view all the photos and videos captured by your Seemor-200.
  2. Tap the “Select” icon in the upper right corner to choose the file you want to download. The “Select” icon will then turn to be a “Cancel” icon which allows you to pause the download process.

    • Note: The app can only download a single video at a time due to file size limitations. If you wish to download videos in batch, you can choose to transfer video files to your computer via a card reader or a USB data cable (both the reader and the cable are sold separately). However, it allows you to download all photo files simultaneously.
  4. When the progress is completed, the file will be successfully saved to the Native folder and your phone’s photo album. You can choose to playback the file on your phone or forward it to social media.

Updating the Firmware on the App

Why do you need to perform the Firmware Upgrade?

Firmware updates are of great importance to enhance your user experience, expand the product’s capabilities, and improve its performance and responsiveness. It is strongly recommended that you perform regular firmware updates via the AKASO AURA app, as new upgrade packages for your device are released frequently.

What do you need to do before a firmware update?

Before initiating a firmware update, ensure that you’ve installed the latest AKASO AURA app on your smartphone.

  1. A functional Micro SD card is in the night vision goggles.
  2. You’ve formatted the SD card properly.
  3. A functional SIM card is in your phone which has sufficient available memory

What do you need to pay attention to before the firmware update?

  1. Before initiating a firmware update, please note the following precautions:
  2. Review these guidelines thoroughly.
  3. Always keep the AKASO AURA app updated.
  4. Use a device-compatible Micro SD card to prevent update glitches. (The card’s ability to record guarantees compatibility.)
  5. Conduct the update in areas with robust network coverage to prevent upgrade failures caused by poor network conditions.
  6. Ensure the device is left plugged in throughout the update process.
  7. Stay connected to the app and the internet throughout the update process.
  8.  Avoid operating the device during the upgrade, including actions like inserting removing the SD card, powering the device on or off, and any other interactions that might disrupt the update.

How to perform the firmware update?

To perform the OTA update, follow the steps below:

Step 2 : Tap “Firmware upgrade” to verify the firmware update version. You will receive a download prompt if there is any new firmware version available .AKASO-SEEMOR-200-Night--Vision-Goggles-fig-19

Step 6: The device automatically restarts and follows the upgrade progress.

Step 7: When the upgrade progress completes, you will need to reset the system’s language and date & time. After doing so, press the SHOT button to confirm your changes.
Step 8: When in the preview screen, check your device’s version by viewing its version information in the system settings screen.

Setting Up Your Seemor-200

To set up your Seemor-200, press the MENU button from the preview screen to access the system settings, and configure the settings per your needs using the IR – or IR + button followed by the SHOT button.

  1. Album

    • The album allows you to view all the video and photo files stored on the memory card.
      Tip: Whenever you attempt to access the album screen, a prompt box stating “Accessing the album will pause the recording. Are you sure you want to access it?” will pop up. This serves as a precautionary measure to prevent any accidental operations.AKASO-SEEMOR-200-Night--Vision-Goggles-

  2. Video Resolution

  3. Capture Duration

    • 1 Min. (default) / 2 Min. / 3 Min. Set your Seemor-200 to record 1, 2 or 3-minute videos that can be downloaded quickly.AKASO-SEEMOR-200-Night--Vision-Goggles-fig-27
  4. Loop Video Overwriting

    • On (default) / Off Choose to turn the loop recording feature on or off. With this feature enabled, the device will automatically delete the earliest videos to continue recording when the SD card is full. The default setting is On.
  5. Wifi Hotspot

    • On / Off (default) The Wifi hotspot works to connect your Seemor-200 to the AKASO AURA app to access the app features.
  6. Audio

    • On / Off (default) Turn the audio feature on or off. When disabled, the device will record videos without audio.
  7. Brightness

    • Low / Medium (default) / High Adjust the screen’s brightness according to the light condition.
  8. Indicator Light

    • On (default) / Off Choose to turn the indicator light on or off.
  9. Screen-off Time

    • Never (default) / 5 minutes later / 10 minutes later Determine when the device’s display should go dormant to conserve battery. If you need to turn the screen back on, just press the Power button.
  10. Volume

    • ff / Low / Medium (default) / High Adjust the device volume. Options included Off, Low, Medium, and High.
  11. Auto Shutdown

    • Never (default) / 5 minutes later / 10 minutes later / 20 minutes later Set the duration of inactivity after which the device automatically powers off. If not operated within the chosen duration, the device will shut down.
  12. Compass

    • On / Off (default) Choose to turn the Compass feature on or off. To use this feature, first select the “On” option by pressing the SHOT button, then move the night vision goggles as illustrated for around five seconds, and press the SHOT button again to complete the compass calibration progress.

    • On / Off (default) Choose to turn the Level feature on or off. To use this feature, first select the “On” option by pressing the SHOT button, then place the night vision goggles horizontally, and press the SHOT button again to complete the compass calibration progress.     • Cancel (default) / Confirm Format the memory card. Formatting will erase all data stored in the card. Be sure to offload your data before formatting.
  17. Reset

    • Cancel (default) / Confirm Reset all settings to their default values. Note: Performing this process will also restart your device.
  18. Date Format

    • YYYY/MM/DD (default), MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY Set the date format for the device.
