INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

  1. Hold mounting bracket (A) so the two holes along the edge of the mounting bracket (A) are on the top and bottom of the mounting bracket (A) and the head of the attached ground screw is facing outward.

  2. Carefully pull house wires through a round hole in the mounting bracket (A).

  3. Align holes in mounting bracket (A) with holes in the junction box.

  4. Thread each junction box screw (B) into holes in the mounting bracket (A) and into holes in the junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to the junction box.
CAUTION: Make sure house wires are pulled completely through the hole in mounting bracket. DO NOT pinch wires between the mounting bracket and wall.

  5. Strip 3/4” of insulation from ends of fixture wires.

  6. Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove the ground screw. Wrap house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to fixture ground wire. Twist end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference the chart below for correct wire connections.

  7. Twist the end of house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Twist the end of house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart to the right for correct wire connections.

  8. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around wire nuts (C) and wires. Ensure wires are securely fastened into wire nuts.

  9. Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.

  10. Place backplate (D) over mounting bracket (A).
CAUTION: Do not pinch wires between the backplate and the wall.

  11. Align holes in the top and bottom of the backplate (D) with holes in the top and bottom along the edge of the mounting bracket (A). Thread one fixture mounting screw (E) into each hole at top and bottom of the backplate (D) and into holes in the mounting bracket (A). Tighten fixture mounting screws (E) to secure the fixture to the wall.

  12. Pass hole in the top of shade (K) over the socket. Slip spacer (G) over socket. Thread socket ring (L) onto socket. Tighten socket ring (L) to secure shade (K) in place. DO NOT over tighten.
