Reading the operating manual
This quick installation guide is for Steinbach heat pump „Silent mini“ –
hereinafter referred to as „device“ or „heat pump“ Read the manual, especially
the safety instructions, carefully before using the device. Failure to comply
may result in serious injuries or damageto the device.
Intended use
This device is exclusively designed for heating or cooling privately used
swimming pools according to this operating manual. The user is responsible for
any misuse.

General safety instructions
Warning! Risk of fire and explosion
The device‘s refrigerant circuit contains easily flammable, odorless gas.
Uncontrolled leakage of refrigerant poses a fire and explosion hazard.
- Operate the device exclusively outdoors
- Keep heat sources and open flames, as well as ignition sources, away from the heat pump
- Store the device in a well-ventilated place
Warning! Risk of electric shock!
- Connect the heat pump only to sockets protected by a 30mA residual current device (RCD/FI switch).
- Do not operate the heat pump if it shows visible damage, if there are people inside the pool or if the power cable or plug is defective.
- Never pull the plug out of the socket by pulling on the power cable; always grip the plug.
SETUP AND INSTALLATION
Preparing the setup location
- Follow the minimum distances (e.g.: to adjacent buildings) according to Figure (A) with a minimum distance of 2500 mm on the air outlet side of the heat pump.
- Place the device on a level, load-bearing surface.
Integrate the device into the water circuit
- Follow the assembly diagram according to Figure (B).
- Connect the hoses for water inlet and outlet with the supplied adapters according to Figure (C).
- Color coding on the device: Blue = inlet (from the pool) / Red = outlet (to the pool)
- Recommended additional material: Steinbach By-Pass Set (Art.# 060045) and swimming pool hoses Ø32 or Ø38mm as needed.
Establish the power supply
- The device must be connected to a circuit protected by an RCD switch (FIswitch) with a 30mA tripping current.
- Power consumption: see the nameplate of the heat pump

ACTIVATING THE HEATING OPERATING MODE

Turn on the filter system – the heat pump requires sufficient water flow (>
1,000 l/h) to operate -
Press and hold button 5 (ON/OFF) for 2s to switch on the heat pump

Press and hold buttons 7 (Control/Navigation DOWN) and 8 (Control/
Navigation UP) for 3s to unlock the keypad -
Press and hold button 6 (Operating mode) to switch between “heating” and “cooling” mode

Adjust the desired temperature using buttons 7 and 8 (Control/ Navigation)

The heat pump starts when the inlet temperature (display 4) is lower than the set target temperature

Press and hold the buttons 6 (Operating mode), 7 and 8 (Control/Navigation) to switch the temperature from °F to °C

After 1 minute, the keypad is locked. Press and hold the buttons 7 and 8(Control/Navigation) for 3s to unlock the keypad

If the error code „Err 03“ appears on the display, the water flow through the heat pump is too low. For troubleshooting, refer to the detailed manual – see QR code below
