Steinbach 061330 Solar Powered Thermometer
Features
- Temperature Measurement Range: 0 – 50°C (32 – 122°F)
- Temperature Measurement Tolerance: +/- 1°C (+/- 2°F)
- Display resolution: 0,1°C (0,1°F)
- Operate voltage: 1,5 V (1 x LR44 button battery)
- Power source: Solar power on when light intensity >150 LUX. And change to be battery (1x LR44 1.5V) operated when the light intensity <150 LUX.
- Two buttons: RESET, C°/F°
- Automatically shut off after 2 minutes operation.
- String for tying down the thermometer to the pool.
WARNING! This is not a toy, keep away from children. Take the thermometer out from the pool when people swim.
How to use:
- Press the RESET button to activate the thermometer. It will display the temperature.
- Press C/F button to select desired unit of measurement. You can switch between C° and F° at anytime by pressing this button.
- Place the thermometer on the pool surface and exposed to sunshine for solar power to work. Tie the cord securely to the pool edge (for example to the ladder). Ensure that the thermometer cannot float into the wall skimmer.
- Thermometer displays the water temperature once it is in the water. If temperature does not display, press the button C/F again to reactivate.
- If light intensity is lower than 150 LUX, it will turn to use battery power and automatically shut off after 2 minutes to save battery. To reactivate it, press the button RESET.
NOTE: This thermometer functions without battery a long as there is enough light.
HOW TO REPLACE BATTERY:
- When the LCD display becomes not clear, replace the new LR44 battery.
- Use screwdriver to unfasten two screws on the battery compartment door.
- Remove the door and replace the new battery. Make sure to close the compartment door by aligning the arrow marking and fasten the screws tightly to prevent water from entering.
WARNING
- Make sure that batteries are inserted the right way around and with the correct polarity.
- Do not mix new and used batteries or mix batteries of different types – always use a complete set of new batteries of the same type when replacing batteries.
- Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the product
- The supply terminals are not to be short- circuited Dispose of battery safety.
- Do not immerse the thermometer into the water.
- Do not drop the thermometer.
- Solar panel may be damaged.
- Do not press on the
- LCD display Under strong sunshine, warm air inside the thermometer may expand and push up the surface.
- This is normal and will return to normal situation after the temperature decreases.
