Product Usage Instructions

Installation Instructions

  1. Rotate fixture arms up 90 degrees into position as shown (Fig. 1).
  2. Screw the long stem[L] into coupling on the main body[K] using a short threaded tube[J].
  3. Pass fixture wires from long stem through the desired number of short threaded tubes[J] and stems[I]. Screw stems together using short threaded tubes.
  4. Pass fixture wire from the last stem through the end of swivel[H] and into canopy[E]. Thread the end ofthe  swivel intothe  end of the last stem.
  5. Cut fixture wires a MINIMUM of 6 inches from the top edge of the canopy.
  6. Find the appropriate threaded holes on the mounting strap[C] that align with the hole distance in the canopy. Assemble mounting screws[D] into threaded holes starting from the outlet box side.
  7. Attach the mounting strap tThe mounting box[A] using the supplied strap mounting screws[B]. Mounting strap can be adjusted to suit the position of the fixture.

Grounding Instructions
Follow either option a or b based on the provided configuration:

  • a. Wrap ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground screw if the mounting strap has a hole and two raised dimples.
  • b. Attach ground wire from outlet box under the cupped washer and green ground screw if a cupped washer is provided.

Wire Connections

Refer to the chart below for the correct wire connections:

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: Thread locking compound must be applied to threads as noted with (4) symbol to prevent accidental rotation of fixture during cleaning, relamping, etc.

  1. Rotate fixture arms up 90 degrees into position as shown (Fig. 1).
    NOTE: Sockets[M] should all face upward when in the final position.

  2. Screw the long stem[L] into coupling on the main body[K] using a short threaded tube[J].
    NOTE: The long stem must be used when mounting the fixture, and the long stem must be the first stem installed to the fixture as shown.

  3. Pass fixture wires from long stem through the desired number of short threaded tubes[J] and stems[I]. Screw stems together using short threaded tubes. Screw the first stem into the end of the long stem.

  4. Pass fixture wire from the last stem through the end of swivel[H] and into canopy[E]. Thread the end of the swivel into the end of the last stem. Note the direction of the swivel by the ceiling.

  5. Cut fixture wires a MINIMUM of 6 inches from the top edge of the canopy.

  6. Find the appropriate threaded holes on the mounting strap[C] that align with the hole distance in the canopy. Assemble mounting screws[D] into threaded holes starting from the outlet box side.

  7. Attach the ounting strap to othe utlet box[A] using the supplied strap mounting screws[B]. The mounting strap can be adjusted to suit the position of the fixture.

  8. Grounding instructions: (See Illus. a or b).

  9. a. On fixtures where the mounting strap is provided with a hole and two raised dimples, wrap ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground screw, and thread it into the hole.

  10. b. On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided, attach the ground wire from the outlet box under the cupped washer and a green ground screw, and thread it into the mounting strap. If the fixture is provided with ground wire, connect the fixture ground wire to the outlet box ground wire with the wire connector after following the above steps. Never connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.

  11. Make wire connections. Reference the chart below for correct connections and wire accordingly.

  12. Connect Black or Red Supply Wire to:

  13. Black

  14. Parallel cord (round & smooth)

  15. Clear, Brown, Gold or Black without Tracer

  16. Insulated wire (other than green) with copper conductor

  17. Connect White Supply Wire to:

  * White
  * Parallel cord (square & ridged)
  * Clear, Brown, Gold or Black with Tracer
  * Insulated wire (other than green) with silver conductor  

Note: When parallel wire (SPT 1 & SPT 2) are used. The neutral wire is square shaped or ridged and the other wire will be round in shape or smooth (See illus.)

  1. Raise the canopy to the ceiling, carefully passing mounting screws through mounting screw holes in the canopy.
    NOTE: Be certain wires do not get pinched between the mounting strap and canopy or canopy and ceiling.

  2. While holding the canopy in place, use lock washers[F] and knobs[G] to secure the canopy. Tighten to secure.

  3. Insert recommended bulbs. (Not supplied).
