Product Usage Instructions
Setting Up Your Drying Hanger for the First Time
- Carefully unpack the Drying Hanger and remove all packaging.
- Attach the hanging strap on either side of the heater unit by looping the metal fastening over the stud.
- Pull the strap until it clicks securely over the stud.
- Rotate the extendable arms out to create a hanger shape.
- Extend the arms out to the required length.
- Hang on a suitable hook to dry your garment.
To Attach Hanger Pegs
- Hook the white end of the joining connector over the bar in the slit on the bottom side of the extendable arm. Pull it firmly until it locates in place.
- To remove hanger pegs, hold the joining connector so the opening sits over the bar in the slit on the bottom side of the extendable arm, then push away to unclip.
Instructions for Use
- Ensure the Drying Hanger is fully assembled, unplugged, and switched off.
- Place the Drying Hanger on a suitable rail or hook.
- Place your garment on the Drying Hanger.
- Do not overload with a heavy garment.
To Use in Footwear
- Rotate the extendable arms to midway and insert them into your footwear.
- Repeat steps for general use.

- This Dry: Soon Drying Hanger. is the ideal solution for drying your single garments or shoes whatever the weather. It works by circulating warm air at 40°C, 50°C, or 60°C, around damp clothes through the heater air outlet, and is very simple to set up. The dryer has a timer for up to 8 hours with an automatic shut-off. It allows clothes to be kept straight, which reduces ironing time. It is light enough to move to where it’s needed and collapses for easy storage and transport. The Dry: Soon Drying Hanger is great for use in a caravan or motor home.

CONTROL PANEL

Timer Button
The appliance can run for up to 8 hours, with an automatic shut-off. You can set the timer for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours. Press the timer button until the dot lights up above the ‘2H’, ‘4H’, or ‘6H’ on the control panel. For 8 hours no dots will be illuminated above the timer button. -
On/off and Heat Setting Button
- Press the on/off button to turn the appliance on. The default heat setting is ‘I’ (40°C) and the dot above the ‘I’ will illuminate. Press the on/off button again to change the setting to ‘II’ (50°C) and the dot above the ‘II’ will illuminate. Press the on/off button again to change the setting to ‘III’ (60°C) and the dot above the ‘III’ will illuminate.
- To turn off or stop the appliance during a drying cycle press the on/off button until there are no illuminated dots above the on/off button. The appliance will continue to run for a short while as the heater unit stops.

UV Button
The UV button turns on a UV light. If the UV light is turned on the dot will illuminate.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Carefully read all the instructions before using the appliance and keep it in a safe place for future reference. Always follow these safety precautions when using the appliance to avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance. This appliance should be used only as described in this instruction book.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Make sure your electricity supply matches the voltage shown on the appliance.
- Ensure all packaging materials and any promotional labels or stickers are removed from the appliance before the first use.

- Always use the appliance on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface.
- Unplug from the mains when not in use. To disconnect, turn the socket to “off” and remove the plug from the main socket.
- Do not use any accessories or attachments with this appliance other than those recommended by Lakeland.
- To protect against fire, electric shock, or personal injury, do not immerse the cord or plug in water or other liquids.
- Avoid contact between the lead and hot surfaces. Keep the appliance plug and lead away from ovens, electric and gas burners, flames, and water sources.
- For indoor use only.
- For domestic use only.
- This appliance should be used for airing clothes as described within the instructions for use that accompany it.
- Always ensure that your hands are dry before removing the plug from the main socket. Never pull the plug out of the main socket by its lead or carry the appliance by its lead.
- Do not allow the lead to be compressed or curled, or touch sharp edges.
- Not recommended to be used with a plug-in timer switch.
- An extension cable may be used with care. The electrical rating of the cable should be at least as great as the appliance.
- WARNING: A cut-off plug inserted into a socket is a serious safety (shock) hazard. Ensure the cut-off plug is disposed of safely.
- CAUTION: The plastic bags used to wrap this appliance or the packaging may be dangerous. To avoid the risk of suffocation, keep these bags out of reach of babies and children. These bags are not toys.
- Always switch off and unplug the Drying Hanger after use leaving it to cool down completely before storing it away.
- The appliance must be used at least 1.5 meters away from heat or water sources.
- Do not use or store the appliance in a damp, dusty place, as this can cause corrosion.
- Ensure the appliance is fully open and secure before loading it with laundry and switching it on.
- When opening and closing the Drying Hanger never use force. The mechanisms should move freely and easily.
- Keep fingers away from folding parts.
- Do not overload the Drying Hanger.
- Clothes should be spin-dried in your washing machine or well-wrung by hand before being placed on the Drying Hanger.
- The appliance will get hot in use. To prevent burns, keep your hands well away from the heater air outlet. Let the heater air outlet cool completely before storing away or cleaning the appliance.
- Never insert any object into the heater air outlet vents. Check regularly for blockages, the airflow should be kept clear.
- Do not use the machine continually for long periods. The maximum working time is 8 hours, then leave it to cool down for 30 minutes, before using it again.
- Do not allow children to play with the airer.
WARNING:
The danger of injury to eyes and skin. UV rays are harmful to the eyes and
skin. Never expose you or other people and animals to direct or reflected UV
rays. If you come into contact with the UV rays, consult a doctor immediately.
SETTING UP YOUR DRYING HANGER FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Carefully unpack the Drying Hanger and remove all the packaging.
- Attach the hanging strap on either side of the heater unit. Loop the metal fastening over the stud.
- Pull the strap until it clicks securely over the stud.
- Rotate the extendable arms out in the direction shown to create a hanger shape.
- Extend the arms out to the required length.
- Hang on a suitable hook to dry your garment. If you wish to hang over a rail, release one end of the metal fastening from the stud, place the strap over the rail, and secure it.
TO ATTACH HANGER PEGS
- To attach a hanger peg, hook the white end of the joining connector over the bar in the slit on the bottom side of the extendable arm. Pull it firmly until it is located in place.
- The hanger pegs can also be removed by holding the joining connector so the opening sits over the bar in the slit on the bottom side of the extendable arm, then push away, the connector will then clip off.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- The Drying Hanger gets clothes dry whatever the weather by circulating warm air at 40°C, 50°C or 60°C around them. The heater air outlet is efficient for drying a garment or footwear, the timer can be set for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours. The default drying time is 8 hours.
- It’s also gentler on your clothes than tumble drying, helping to reduce creasing and the need for ironing. There is none of the friction associated with tumble drying.
- We highly recommend that laundry is spin-dried in your washing machine first, or that hand-washed items are well-wrung, to help keep drying times to a minimum and prevent excess water dripping onto your floor.

Firstly, make sure the Drying Hanger is fully assembled, unplugged, and switched off.

Place the Drying Hanger on a suitable rail or hook, ready for use.

Place your garment onto the opened Drying Hanger.

DO NOT overload with a very heavy garment.
WARNING: Do not touch or cover the heater air outlet with clothes at any point. -
Plug in and switch on at the main socket, and there will be a beep.

Press the on/off button to power it on, the appliance will start to run on a default setting of 8 hours on heat level setting ‘I’ (40°C).

The heater air outlet will start working straight away.

To change the heat setting to ‘II’ (50°C) or ‘III’ (60°C) press the on/off button until the desired temperature is selected, and the dot will appear above the chosen setting.

You can adjust the time between 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours, by pressing the timer button until the illuminated dots show the number of hours you require. For 8 hours no dots will be illuminated above the timer button.

The appliance will run for the selected time and then automatically shut- off. The heater unit will continue to run for a short while.

There will be an audible beep each time you press a button.

Switch off and unplug the mains socket, then let everything cool down for a few moments.

Let the Travel Dryer cool completely before storing it away.
TO USE IN FOOTWEAR
- You can use the Drying Hanger to dry or warm footwear on the floor. Rotate the extendable arms to midway, they will click and stop at the correct point. Insert the ends into your footwear, extending the arms if needed. Repeat steps 5 – 14 of the instructions for use. You may wish to remove the hanger pegs before inserting the extendable arms into your footwear.

CARE AND STORE YOUR DRYING HANGER
- The Drying Hanger is designed to be easily folded for compact storage after use. Always switch off, unplug, and let the Drying Hanger cool down completely before folding and storing it away. Once cooled it can be placed in its storage bag.
- Check the heater air outlets to make sure they are clear of blockages.
- Lift the heater unit from off your hanging rail or hook and close the extendable arms.
- Check the parts for wear or damage after every few uses.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Store the Drying Hanger in a dry place, with the power cable loosely coiled. Never wrap it tightly around the appliance.

THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
The appliance is fitted with a fused three-pin plug to BS1363 which is suitable for use in all homes fitted with sockets to current specifications. -
CHANGING THE 3 AMP FUSE
Use a 3 amp BS1362 fuse. Only BSI or ASTA-approved fuses should be used. If you are unsure which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a qualified electrician.
Note:
After replacing or changing a fuse on a molded plug that has a fuse cover, the
cover must be refitted to the plug; the appliance must not be used without a
fuse cover. If lost, replacement fuse covers can be obtained from an
electrical shop.
