HD-T02 thermostat description

A programmable electronic thermostat designed for controlling electric heating devices.

The HD-T02 thermostat can only be installed inside a building, either inside or outside a controlled dry room. In the case of humid rooms, it must be installed outside of them for safety reasons. To place the thermostat outside the controlled room, an additional external air tem-perature sensor is necessary. The thermostat supports two types of sensors: an external NTC sensor for floor temperature (or other heated surfaces) and an air temperature sensor (built into the thermostat or an additional external NTC air temperature sensor: Air Sensor installed in an installation box or Light Switch Sensor installed in a frame of a light switch).

The thermostat features an open window function and battery backup for clock and program settings.

Installation

Air Sensor installation

Light Switch Sensor installation

  1. Installation in the light switch frame: lead an OMY 2 x 0.5 mm electrical wire to the light switch box for the Light Switch Sensor (HD-LSS).
  2. Drill a hole in the frame for the temperature sensor head of HD-LSS using an Ø 5 mm diameter drill bit.
  3. Drill a hole in the lower part of the light switch frame with a Ø 2.5 mm drill bit so that the sensor head can be freely inserted.
  4. Connect the HD-LSS temperature sensor using an electrical connector (terminal block, clamp).
  5. Install the light switch and insert the HD-LSS temperature sensor through the prepared hole.
  6. Attach the frame, ensuring that the sensor head fits into the prepared hole.
CAUTION: the sensor head should not significantly protrude beyond the outline of the frame.

Thermostat installation

  1. Perform the installation with the power turned off.
  2. Separate the front panel (display) from the mounting plate by gently sliding it downward and disconnect the multi-pin connector.
  3. Connect the wires as shown in the diagram below.
  4. Mount the mounting plate in the installation box using a screwdriver.
  5. Reconnect the multi-pin connector to the socket and mount the front panel (display).

Thermostat installation
The thermostat should be installed by an experienced electrician with appropriate qualifications.

NOTES:
Upon the initial start-up of the thermostat and heating system, thoroughly check the thermostat’s factory settings. Adjust the thermo-stat settings to match the heating installation being performed. In the case of underfloor heating, set the temperature control to two sensors in AL1 or AL2 mode (Table “Advanced Settings”, code: 2sen). The maximum floor temperature must not exceed the threshold values given by the floor manufacturer (Table “Advanced Settings”, code: 3Lit).
