Product Usage Instructions

Installation Instructions:

  1. Screw decorative tube assembly onto coupling on frame. Tighten to secure.
  2. Pass fixture wires through short threaded tubes and stems. Screw stems together using short threaded tubes.
  3. Screw the first stem into the coupling attached to the top of the decorative tube assembly.
  4. Pass fixture wires from the last stem through the end of the swivel and into the canopy. Thread the end of the swivel into the end of the last stem.
  5. Cut fixture wires a minimum of 6 inches from the top edge of the canopy.
  6. Assemble mounting screws into threaded holes on the mounting strap and attach it to the outlet box using strap mounting screws.
  7. Ground the fixture as per the provided instructions.
  8. Make wire connections according to the reference chart provided.
  9. Raise canopy to the ceiling, passing mounting screws through mounting screw holes in the canopy.
  10. Secure canopy using lock washers and knobs. Tighten to secure.

Grounding Instructions:
Follow either method a or b for grounding:

  • Wrap ground wire from outlet box around the green ground screw and thread into hole on mounting strap.
  • Attach ground wire from outlet box under cupped washer and green ground screw, then thread into mounting strap.

Wire Connections:
Refer to the chart below for correct wire connections:

Connect Black or Red Supply Wire to: Connect White Supply Wire to:
Black White

CAUTIONS
RISK OF SHOCK: Disconnect Power at the main circuit breaker panel or main fusebox before starting and during the installation.

WARNING : This fixture is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications. If you are not familiar with code requirements, installation by a certified electrician is recommended. Failure to adhere to these codes and instructions may result in serious injury and/or property damage and will void the warranty.

CLEANING

  • Always be certain that electric current is turned off before cleaning.
  • Only a soft damp cloth should be used. Harsh cleaning products may damage the finish.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE : Thread locking compound must be applied to threads as noted with (4) symbol to prevent accidental rotation of fixture during cleaning, relamping, etc.

  1. Screw decorative tube assembly[K] onto coupling on frame[L]. Tighten to secure.

  2. Pass fixture wires from decorative tube assembly through the desired number of short threaded tubes[J] and stems[I]. Screw stems together using short threaded tubes.

  3. Screw first stem into coupling attached to top of the decorative tube assembly.

  4. Pass fixture wires from last stem through end of the swivel[H] and into canopy[E]. Thread the end of the swivel into end of last stem. Note the direction of the swivel in accordance with the ceiling.

  5. Cut fixture wires a MINIMUM of 6 inches from the top edge of canopy.

  6. Find the appropriate threaded holes on the mounting strap[C] that align with the hole distance in canopy. Assemble mounting screws[D] into threaded holes starting from the outlet box side.

  7. Attach mounting strap to the outlet box[A] using the supplied strap mounting screws[B]. The mounting strap can be adjusted to suit the position of fixture.

  8. Grounding instructions: (See Illus. a or b).

  9. On fixtures where the mounting strap is provided with a hole and two raised dimples, wrap ground wire from outlet box around green ground screw, and thread into the hole.

  10. On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided, attach the ground wire from outlet box under the cupped washer and a green ground screw, and thread into the mounting strap. If the fixture is provided with ground wire, connect fixture ground wire to outlet box ground wire with wire connector after following the above steps. Never connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.

  11. Make wire connections. Reference chart below for correct connections and wire accordingly

  12. Raise canopy to ceiling, carefully passing mounting screws through mounting screw holes in canopy.
    NOTE: Be certain wires do not get pinched between the mounting strap and canopy or canopy and ceiling.

  13. While holding canopy in place, use lock washers[G] and knobs[F] to secure canopy. Tighten to secure.

  14. Lower candle sleeve[M] down over socket. Repeat for remaining sockets.

  15. Insert recommended bulb(s). (Not supplied).

  16. NOTE: Once the fixture is secured to the ceiling, each arm attached to the center hub can be adjusted by gently rotating by hand to ensure the fixture is level.

Q: How do I adjust the position of the fixture?
A: The mounting strap can be adjusted to suit the position of the fixture. Loosen the strap mounting screws, adjust the position, and then tighten the screws securely.

Q: What should I do if the fixture wires are too short?
A: If the fixture wires are too short, you may need to use additional wire connectors to extend them to reach the desired connection points. Make sure to follow proper wiring practices when extending wires.
