ALEXANDRIA HURRICANE
BATTERY INSTALLATION
- Remove the battery compartment lid; insert 2 C batteries as indicated on the candle bottom/battery compartment; for best performance, we suggest using only alkaline batteries.
- Replace and close the battery compartment lid. It is advisable to place the candle on a soft surface to support the candle when installing or changing batteries.
AUTOMATIC TIMER
Your candle has three activation positions – OFF, 4 Hours, and 8 Hours. When
in the OFF position your candle will remain inactive. When the timer position
is selected in either the 4-hour or 8-hour position at any given time of the
day, the flickering light will turn on and then automatically turn off after
the selected time duration. The following day, if the switch setting has not
been modified, the flickering light will automatically turn on at the same
time and will automatically turn off after either 4 or 8 hours depending on
the interval selected. To change the starting time, cycle the switch to OFF
and back to either 4 Hours or 8 Hours at the desired time.
HURRICANE SETUP/CHOOSING A LOCATION
Your Alexandria should be always be placed on a flat and stable surface. Place
the glass shade in the center of the stand. After activating your candle per
above instruction, place it in the center of the shade. The flameless candle
and hurricane should not be exposed to extreme weather such as heat, cold,
rain or snow and are intended for indoor use only. Your flickering candle is
made of wax and should not be placed near a heat source such as a radiator,
stove, fireplace, etc. – the extreme heat may melt the candle’s wax.
CANDLELIGHT MAINTENANCE
- To clean the hurricane shade remove it from the base and wipe with a clean damp non-abrasive cloth.
- The wooden base can be cleaned in the same way or with a dust cloth.
- NEVER clean with detergent, bleach or other harsh chemicals; doing so will damage the surfaces of these items.
CAUTION
- This product is a Flameless Candle, to avoid fire hazards, do not light wick with fire.
- The stand and shade are designed for use with the flameless candle included in your Hurricane Lamp. They are not intended for use with real candles and should NEVER be used in that way.
- Failure to insert batteries in the correct polarity, as indicated in the battery compartment, may shorten the life of the batteries or cause batteries to leak.
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- For best results, use alkaline batteries.
- Do not mix Alkaline, Standard (Carbon-Zinc) or Rechargeable (Nickel Cadmium) or (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
- Batteries should be recycled or disposed of as per manufacturer’s recommendations.
