Step 1. Motor to receiver electrical connections:
- Connect the grey wire from the fan to the grey wire from the receiver. Connect the red wire from the fan to the red wire from the receiver.
- Connect the yellow wire from the fan to the yellow wire from the receiver. Secure the wire connections with the plastic wire connecting nuts provided (Figure 6).
- Step 2. Receiver to house supply wires electrical connections: Connect the black (hot) wire from the ceiling to the black wire marked “AC in L” from the receiver.
- Connect the white (neutral) wire from the ceiling to the white wire marked “AC in N” from the receiver. Secure the wire connections with the plastic wire connecting nuts provided (Figure 6).
- Step 3. If your outlet box has a ground wire (green or bare copper) connect it to the fan ground wires; otherwise, connect the ceiling bracket assembly ground wire to the mounting bracket.
- Secure the wire connection with a plastic nut provided. After connecting the wires spread them apart so that the green and white wires are on one side of the outlet box and grey/red and yellow wires are on the other side.
- Carefully tuck the wire connections up into the outlet box (Figure 6).
- Step 4. Insert the receiver into the Ceiling bracket assembly with the flat side of the receiver facing the ceiling (Figure 7).
Finishing the Installation
Step 1. Remove one screw from the ceiling bracket, retain it for later, and loosen the remaining two screws(Figure 8).
- Step 2. Carefully secure the motor housing onto the mounting slots on the ceiling bracket by twisting in a clockwise direction. Be sure the receiver and all wiring are tucked into the motor housing and are not pinched.
- Once the motor assembly is flush with your ceiling, replace the previously removed screw and securely tighten all three screws(Figure 9-Figure 10).
- Step 3. Secure the top housing to the motor assembly by twisting in a clockwise direction. Twist the top housing gradually until it snaps onto the motor assembly(Figure 11).
- Step 4. Install the two screws partially to the bottom of the motor assembly (Figure 12).
Attaching the Fan Blades
- Step1. Assemble the blade-to-blade bracket as shown. Align the holes of the blade with the blade bracket and install three oval screws with the washer.
- Repeat the step for the second blade(Figure 13).
- Step 2. Align and slide the blade bracket assembly into each other. Align the holes and secure the assembly together by installing four oval screws (Figure 14).
- Step 3. Assemble the blade assembly to the motor Assembly. Align the slot in the blade assembly with two screws installed to the bottom of the motor assembly. Twist it clockwise to secure and partially tighten the screws (Figure 15).
- Step 4. Install the remaining two screws and tighten all four screws to make sure the blade assembly is properly secured to the motor assembly (Figure 16).
Installing the Decorative Cover
Blade Balancing
All blades are grouped by weight. The fan may wobble even though the blades
are weighed equally.
The following procedure should correct most fan wobbling problems. Check after
each step.
- Check that all blade and blade arm screws are secure.
- Most fan wobbling problems are caused when blade levels are unequal. Check this level by selecting a point on the ceiling above the tip of one of the blades. Measure this distance as shown in Figure 14.
- Rotate the fan until the next blade is positioned for measurement.
- Repeat for each blade. The distance deviation should be equal to within 1/8″.
- Use the enclosed Blade Balancing Kit if the blade wobble is still noticeable.
- If the blade wobble is still noticeable, interchanging two adjacent (side-by-side) blades can redistribute the weight and possibly result in smoother operation.
WARNING
- TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY, DO NOT BEND THE BLADE HOLDERS WHILE INSTALLING, BALANCING THE BLADES, OR CLEANING THE FAN.
- DO NOT INSERT FOREIGN OBJECTS BETWEEN ROTATING FAN BLADES.
Installing the Decorative cover
Attach the decorative cover and rotate it clockwise until it goes all the way up and is tightened (Figure 18).
Operating Your Transmitter
Restore power to the ceiling fan and test for proper operation.

Care of Your Fan
- Speed settings for warm or cool weather depend on factors such as the room size, ceiling height, number of fans, and so on.
- Warm weather – (Forward) A downward airflow creates a cooling effect as shown in Figure 23.
- This allows you to set your air conditioner in a warmer setting without affecting your comfort.
- Cool-weather – (Reverse) An upward airflow moves warm air off the ceiling area as shown in Figure 24. This allows you to set your heating unit in a cooler setting without affecting your comfort.
- Because of the fan’s natural movement, some connections may become loose. Check the support connections, brackets, and blade attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. (It is not necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.)
- Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the years. Use only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. The plating is sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or tarnishing. Do not use water when cleaning.
- This could damage the motor, or possibly cause an electrical shock.
- Cover small scratches with a light application of shoe polish.
- There is no need to oil your fan. The motor has permanently lubricated bearings.
IMPORTANT MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF AT THE ELECTRICAL PANEL BOX BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT ANY REPAIRS. REFER TO THE SECTION “MAKING ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
