1. Patient Preparation

    relaxed state in a supine position.

  2. If needed, shave any hair from electrode sites and clean the
    skin with mild soap and water. Let it air dry.

2. Electrode Placement

Follow these steps for proper electrode placement:

  1. Adhere electrodes on the patient as indicated in the provided
    diagram.

  2. Attach the ECG clips from the patient cable to the electrodes
    according to the color coding.

3. Conducting the Test

  1. Select the ECG button on the machine and enter Technician,
    Physician, and Indication details.

  2. Choose the appropriate ECG Lead Group and wait for ECG tracings
    to stabilize.

  3. Select the Analyze button to save the ECG data.

  4. Select the Review button to either Exit or Print the
    results.

Midmark® Digital ECG

01 In IQmanager®, Select a patient from the Patient List or Select New Patient and enter demographics and vital signs. (Patient’s date of birth and sex must be correct.)

07 Select the ECG button. Enter Technician, Physician and Indication. Choose the appropriate ECG Lead Group. Select OK.

02 Prepare the patient for the test. NOTE: Proper patient preparation is essential for minimized artifact, a clean ECG and accurate results.

08 Wait for ECG tracings to pass twice (~20 seconds) and the patient’s baselines are stabilized. Select the Analyze button. (The ECG will be saved.)

09 Select the Review button. Select Exit or Select Print and then Exit.
