Installation
Assemble and Mount the TigerMeasure Sensor
Attach the TigerMeasure sensor to the sensor bracket, as shown.
Mounting
The TigerMeasure sensor will mount to the table that Ti-gerStop is mounted to,
anywhere between the TigerStop and your tools zero point.
The TigerMeasure sensor emits infrared light and then detects the light
reflected from your material. Mount the sensor so that it detects a reflection
when your material is in front of it, but not when it is taken away.
Note: Try to mount the sensor as far from the tools zero point as possible for
best results.
Install I/O Panel
Note: The I/O Panel uses the 6-pin I/O port on the TigerStop motor box. If you have an Advanced Interconnect Kit or a Standard Interconnect Kit connected there, it will need to be rewired the M12 connectors on the I/O Panel. See page 10 for details.
Connect TigerMeasure to I/O Panel

Set Up
Adjust TigerMeasure Sensor Sensitivity
The TigerMeasure sensor sends out infrared light and then sees the light
reflected from your material. You want to adjust the sensor so that it senses
a reflection when your material is in front of it, but not when its taken
away.
The TigerMeasure sensor has two indicator lights on its top side. When the
sensor is receiving a strong reflection, the green light will shine.
-
Place your material against the back fence, in front of the TigerMeasure sensor. Adjust the dial until the green light appears.
Note: if the green light never appears, move the sensor forward. -
Once the green light appears, remove the material. The green light should turn off.
Note: If the light does not turn off, the infrared light is being reflected by something else. Re-mount the sensor or remove the reflecting object.

Select the Pusher list type.
-
TigerStop will ask you if you want to optimize the list for material yield. If you choose no, TigerStop will process the list exactly as entered and will NOT optimize for material yield.
-
Select if you want to use a global or a local head and tail cut.
Note: Head and tail cuts are trim cuts at the ends of your material.
Global – Uses the head and tail cut setting from the Part List menu
Local – Allows you to set a head and tail cut that is used for this list only. -
You will now be taken to the programming screen for line 1. Enter the length of the part you wish to process and press .
In this example, I will tell TigerStop I want to cut a 24 inch part. -

Interconnect Kit Rewiring
Some older Advanced Interconnect Kits and all Standard Interconnect Kits are connected to the round 6 pin I/O port (IOC6) on the TigerStop motor box. When using TigerMeasure, the TigerStop I/O Panel will occupy the IOC6 port on the motor box. You will need to rewire the Advanced or Standard Interconnect Kit sensors to the I/O Panel.
WARNING!
Read all instructions before performing any installation! NEVER power up
system while motor box is open! ALWAYS lock out/tag out TigerStop machinery
before installing!
Standard Interconnect Kit
The Standard Interconnect Kit includes one micro switch and one air solenoid
valve. Each of these two devices will need to be rewired to the input of an
M12 connector and then connected to seperate plugs on the I/O panel.
Standard Interconnect Kit
Device | IOC6 Bit | I/O Panel Plug |
---|---|---|
Solenoid | Bit 1 | Tool Out (SE) |
Micro Switch | Bit 2 | Tool at Rest (DM) |
Advanced Interconnect Kit
The Advanced Interconnect Kit has two magnetic proximity sensors (DM and TA),
a foot switch and a solenoid valve. Each will need to be rewired to the input
pin of an M12 connector and then connected to seperate plugs on the I/O panel.
Advanced Interconnect Kit
Device | IOC6 Bit | I/O Panel Plug |
---|---|---|
Solenoid | Bit 1 | Tool Out (SE) |
