Carefully read, understand and follow all information contained in this user manual before installing and using your Skimatic filter pump. These warnings, instructions and safety guidelines apply to some common hazards associated with water filtration systems, but cannot cover all hazards and dangers in all cases. Always use caution, common sense and good judgment when enjoying any water activity. Keep this information for future reference. In addition,

WARNING

The pump cannot be used when there are people in the pool.
The pump should be powered by an isolation transformer or a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual current not exceeding 30mA.
If you have any questions, consult a qualified electrician.
Disconnect the pump from the mains before performing maintenance operations such as: like cleaning the filter.
Fluid contamination may occur due to leakage of lubricants.
The pump plug should be at least 3.50 m away from the pool.
The pump unit may only be powered by safe low voltage, as marked on the device.
The power cord cannot be replaced. If the cable is damaged, the device should be scrapped.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and over and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance safely and understand the hazards involved. Kids they cannot play with the device. Children should not clean or maintain it without supervision devices.
After installing the pool, you must have access to the plug.
Keep the transformer away from the pool and filter pump more than 3.5 m away.
When the device will not be used for a long time, for example in winter, the pool set should be dismantled and stored indoors.

Electrical installations should comply with national wiring regulations.

Use only the media provided or specified to install the product by the manufacturer.
It is necessary to check whether the suction holes are not clogged.
It is recommended to stop filtration during maintenance on the filtration system.
Regularly monitor the level of filter clogging.
Weekly cleaning inspection is recommended.
A minimum daily filtration run time of 8 hours is recommended to ensure clean pool water.
It is necessary to replace any damaged element or assembly as soon as possible elements. Only use parts approved by the person responsible for bringing the product to market.
All filters and filter media should be checked regularly to ensure that contaminants have not accumulated, thereby preventing good filtration.
Disposal of any used filter media should also comply with applicable laws/regulations.
The water circuit installation must comply with European as well as national/local regulations regulations, especially in the case of electrical problems. Any change of position valve, pump size, grille size can change the flow and increase the suction speed.
Extension cords cannot be used.

Take your used product to a recycling facility. Contact your local authorities or dealer for advice on recycling.

SAFETY TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS

Do not bury the cable. Place the cable to minimize possible damage by lawn mowers, hedge trimmers and other equipment.

Cleaning and maintenance must be performed by an adult over 18 years of age who knows the risk of electric shock.
This pump is intended for use only with swimming pools that can be stored. Do not use with permanently installed pools.
The storage pool is constructed to be easily disassembled for storage and reassembled to its original integrity. A permanently installed swimming pool is constructed in or on the ground or building in such a way that it cannot be easily removed for storage.
Using a pump with an unsuitable electrical supply is dangerous and will cause catastrophic pump failure.
Before removing, cleaning or making any changes to product, always unplug this product from the electrical outlet.
Do not modify the plug in any way or use adapters for this purpose connecting the device to the electricity supply.
Handle the pump carefully. Do not pull or carry the pump, holding the power cord. Never pull the plug from the socket by tugging on the power cord. Keep the cord free from chafing. Sharp objects, oil, moving parts and heat should never be exposed to the filter pump.
Please check the equipment before use. Notify Bestway on customer service address provided in this manual for any damaged or missing parts at the time of purchase. Check whether the accessories correspond to the filter pump model you intended to purchase.
Pay attention to the position of the pool and pump to ensure proper operation ventilation, drainage and access for cleaning. Never place the pump in an area where water may collect or where foot traffic will pass around the pool.
Weather conditions can affect pump performance and service life filtering. Unnecessary wear and tear may occur during periods of cold, heat and sun exposure. If possible, protect the pump from these conditions. It is important to ensure that the factory fitted inlet and outlet plugs replace the strainers before attempting to disassemble or maintain the pump.
Do not add chemicals to the filter pump.
Do not connect or disconnect the device with wet hands.
Always unplug the device: on rainy days, before cleaning or other maintenance activities and leave them unattended on holidays.
Read the instructions before each use of the i device installation/reassembly.

Bestway is not responsible for any damage to the Skimatic filter pump caused by improper operation or failure to follow these instructions.
Be sure to check that the hydraulic connections are not clogged.
Do not run the Skimatic filter pump dry. Make sure the pool inlet and outlet valves are fully closed covered with water before starting the Skimatic filter pump.

MAINTENANCE

Make sure the Skimatic filter pump is disconnected before any maintenance.
Refer to the illustrations in this manual for maintenance instructions. Drawings are useful for illustration purposes only. It may not reflect the actual product. Not scalable.
To optimize the performance of the Skimatic filter pump and for sanitary reasons, we suggest replacing the filter element with a new one every two weeks.

STORAGE

Remove all accessories; make sure the Skimatic filter pump is completely clean and dry before storage. If all parts are not completely dry, mold may develop.
Before storing, remove and discard the filter insert.
We strongly recommend removing the Skimatic filter pump when the ambient temperature is below 1 OOC 1 500F.
Store the Skimatic filter pump in a dry place with a moderate temperature of IOOC 1 500F to 380C 1 100%.
