Part Lists
During installation, TigerLink 6 creates a ‘TigerLink’ folder on the desktop. Inside, there’s a separate folder for every TigerStop® product’s serial number that is connected and a folder named ‘Global’.
Serial Number Folder- These folders are named with the serial number of the
corresponding TigerStop® product. Part lists in these folders are downloadable
by the corresponding TigerStop® product only.
Global Folder – Part lists in the Global folder are downloadable by any
connected TigerStop® product.
Making Files Available for Download
- Open the ‘TigerLink’ folder.
- Open the folder of the TigerStop product to receive the download.
- Drag and drop the part list file into the TigerStop® product folder.
TigerLink 6 attempts to match the part list file with an active profile. If TigerLink 6 finds multiple possible profiles, select the proper profile in the prompt.
-
TigerLink 6 separates the part list file into smaller files with the extension ‘.Tiger’, based on the ‘Sort On Columns’ from the Link Editor.
-
In this example, TigerLink 6 separates the .csv part list file named ‘Basic’ into two .Tiger files.
List Requirements
For conversion to .tiger files, TigerLink 6 imposes the following conditions on input lists.
- Input files must contain only simple text.
- Text is delimited into columns with a specified character (e.g. comma or semicolon).
- Each line (excluding headers) contains the same number of columns in the same order.
- The file must contain a column specifying the part lengths.
- For automated mitering, the mitering angles must be specified in two additional columns.
Other frequently included columns include quantity, material, profile, and part name, but none of these are required. One common file format that satisfies these requirements is comma-separated values (.csv).
.Tiger Files
.Tiger files contain all the part list and printing data that is sent to the TigerStop® product. How to read the file name, separated by underscores:
