INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing the Prance & Rock Learning UnicornTM. The unicorn easily transforms from a rocker to a ride-on. The two chunky handles are easy for toddlers to grasp when riding on the unicorn. Press one of the two light- up buttons to learn about colors and to hear playful songs and imaginative phrases. Rocking or riding on the unicorn triggers the motion sensor which responds with fun melodies and sounds.

WARNING: All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable tags, cable ties, and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.

GETTING STARTED

BATTERY INSTALLATION

  1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
  2. Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw.
  3. Install 2 new AAA (AM-4/LR03) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance.)
  4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure it.

BATTERY NOTICE

  • Use new alkaline batteries for maximum performance.
  • Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended.
  • Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) rechargeable, or new and used batteries.
  • Do not use damaged batteries.
  • Insert batteries with the correct polarity.
  • Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
  • Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
  • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
  • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging (if removable).
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.

WARNING!

  • Safety comes first with the Prance & Rock Learning Unicorn™: Adult assembly required. The maximum weight limit is 42 pounds. Children over this weight should not use the ride-on. Not to be used by children over 36 months. Insufficient strength. This product includes electronics and is not waterproof.
  • This package contains eight small screws. For your child’s safety, do not let your child play with the toy until it is fully assembled. This toy should be used in a safe area, for example, indoors, on flat level surfaces, and away from any hazards such as cars, stairs, water, etc.
  • Not for use on sidewalks, on pavement, or near traffic.
  • Adult supervision is advised.
  • Regularly check if the eight screws are securely tightened to link the brackets and rockers.

Please place the stickers on the unicorn securely as indicated below:

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Insert the four wheels into the two rockers as shown. You will hear the wheels click into place to indicate they are attached securely.
  2. Insert the front link bracket and the backlink bracket onto the inside of the rockers. Secure the brackets to the rockers with the small screws provided.
  3. Insert the Prance & Rock Learning UnicornTM onto the support brackets as shown.
  4. Insert the two plastic screws into the holes in the front link and backlink brackets. Turn the screws clockwise to secure. You will hear the locks click into place to indicate they are attached securely.
  5. Insert the two handles into the sides of the unicorn’s head. You will hear the handles click into place to indicate the handles are attached securely. Once the handles have been attached, they cannot be removed.

TRANSFORM FROM ROCKER TO RIDE-ON MODE

  • To change the unicorn from rocker mode to ride-on mode, press and hold the lock next to the plastic screws and turn the screws counterclockwise. Remove the rocker panel and turn it over so the wheels are on the ground. Reinsert the two plastic screws into the holes in the front link and backlink brackets. Turn the screws clockwise to secure.

PRODUCT FEATURES

  1. On/Off/Mode Selector
    To turn the unit On, slide the On/ Off/Mode selector to the Learning & Music mode or the Adventure mode position. You will hear a playful song and a friendly phrase. To turn the unit Off, slide the On/Off/ Mode selector to the Off position.

  2. Volume Switch
    To adjust the volume, slide the Volume switch to the Low Volume or the High Volume position.

  3. Automatic Shut Off
    To preserve battery life, the Prance & Rock Learning UnicornTM will automatically power down after approximately 45 seconds without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button, or by turning the spinner on the unicorn’s head.

ACTIVITIES

  1. Light-Up Buttons
    Press the Light-Up buttons to learn about colors and to hear fun songs and music in Learning & Music mode. In Adventure mode, you will hear playful phrases, sounds, and songs. When a melody is playing, press the Light-Up buttons to play the melody one note at a time. The lights and horn will flash with the sounds.

  2. Spinner
    Turn the Spinner to hear fun sounds and short tunes in both Learning &Music mode and Adventure mode. The lights and horn will flash with the sounds.

  3. Motion Sensor
    Rock or ride the unicorn to activate the Motion Sensor. In Learning & Music mode you will hear playful melodies. In Adventure mode, you will hear a variety of fun sounds. The lights and horn will flash with the sounds. The faster you ride, the faster the lights will flash.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

  1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
  2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source.
  3. Remove the batteries when the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
  4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the program/activity stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:

  1. Please turn the unit OFF.
  2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
  3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
  4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again.
  5. If the product still does not work, replace it with a new set of batteries.
