Product Usage Instructions

Package Unlocking
To unlock the packaging locks, rotate them 90 degrees anticlockwise and pull them out. Discard the packaging locks.

Battery Removal and Installation

1. Ensure the unit is turned OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the bottom of the unit, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and open the cover.
3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
4. Install 3 new AA batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. Use alkaline or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries for best performance.
5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw securely.

Activating Normal Play Mode
This product is in Try-Me mode in the packaging. To activate normal play mode:

1. Slide the Off/Low/High Volume Switch from Off to Low or High.
2. Slide the LED Switch from On to Off or Timer. The Gabby Cats will meow when normal play mode is activated. Slide the LED Switch back to On for best performance.

Unlock the Packaging Locks

1. Rotate the packaging locks 90 degrees anticlockwise.
2. Pull out the packaging locks and discard.

INSTRUCTION

WARNING:
Adult assembly required for battery installation.
Keep batteries out of reach of children.

BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
2. Find the battery cover located on the bottom of the unit, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover.
3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
4. Install 3 new AA (LR6/AM-3) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended.)
5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION

• Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
• Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
• Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
• Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES:

• Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging.
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

Disposal of batteries and product

• The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and batteries, or on their respective packaging, indicates they must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain substances that can be damaging to the environment and human health.
• The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked, indicate that the battery contains more than the specified value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb) set out in the Batteries and Accumulators Regulation.

ACTIVATE NORMAL PLAY MODE

This product is in Try-Me mode in the packaging.
To activate normal play mode:

PRODUCT FEATURES

   To turn the unit On or to adjust the volume, set the switch to or High . To turn the unit Off, set the switch to Off .

2. LED Timer/Off/On
   Switch Set the switch to On to play the LED effects, or Off to turn the LEDs off. Set the switch to Timer for 10 minutes of soft lights and stories that shut off automatically.

Note:
The Timer cannot be used to limit play time. Pressing any button will reset the 10-minute countdown.

3. Peek-a-Boo Kitty Buttons
   Press one of the Peek-a-Boo Kitty Buttons to play a story. Press it again to pause. Peek-a-Boo Kitty Buttons are also used to play activities with Gabby and Pillow Cat.

4. Action Button
   Press the Action Button to hear character phrases, music, the Gabby Cat of the Day, or play activities with Gabby and Pillow Cat.

5. Light up Pillow Cat and Base
   If the lights in Pillow Cat and the base are off during play, check the LED Timer/Off/On Switch.

6. Automatic Shut Off
   To preserve battery life, the Gabby’s Dollhouse Story Tails With Gabby storyteller will automatically shut off after approximately 60 seconds without input when the LED Timer/ Off/On Switch is set to to Off . When the switch is set to Timer the storyteller will shut off after approximately 10 minutes without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button.

7. Low Battery Warning
   When the batteries are low, the LED in Pillow Cat’s face will flash 3 times and the storyteller will announce “Low Battery.” The storyteller will then shut off automatically. See page 4 for Battery Removal and Installation instructions.

Play with Gabby and Pillow Cat

• Press the Action Button to listen to character phrases, music, Gabby Cat of the Day, or play interactive activities with Gabby and Pillow Cat. The Action Button responses play at random, so each press is a surprise!
• There are 9 interactive activities to discover and play. Press the Peek-a-Boo Kitty Buttons when Gabby invites listeners to play along. Play 4 games, get up and move or take a few calming breaths, laugh at Gabby’s jokes, learn silly tongue twisters and learn ways to comfort a friend who needs support in a stressful situation.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
3. Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
5. If the unit stops working or malfunctions, install a new set of batteries.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the program/activity stops or malfunctions, please follow these steps:

1. Please turn the unit OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play with again.
5. If the product still does not work, please install a brand new set of batteries.
