SHARP SPC946 Jumbo Display Digital Wall Clock User Manual
Thank you for your purchase of this quality clock. The utmost care has gone into the design and manufacture of your clock. Please read these instructions and store them in a safe place for future reference. The clock has a clear, easy-to-read display that shows indoor temperature, outdoor temperature, time, month, date and day. The remote sensor transmits the outdoor temperature. To receive the outdoor temperature, place the sensor anywhere within 100 feet; the 433.92MHz technology means no wire installation is required.

Power Supply
Insert the AC adapter into a 120V AC ~ 60Hz mains outlet and the other end of the cord into the DC 5V jack on the back of the unit.
Quick Start Guide
- Insert batteries into the wireless sensor.
- Insert the backup batteries into the clock (optional) and plug the clock in.
- Use the SET button to set the time, calendar and temperature display preference.
- Press and hold the SET button for 2 seconds, use the V/A buttons to make your
- TIME and CALENDAR settings and use the SET button to confirm each setting. For more details, see the “Setting the Clock” section below.
Setting the Clock
Setting Order: HOUR > MINUTE > YEAR > MONTH > DAY > °C/°F
- Press and hold the SET button for 2 seconds, the HOUR will flash.
- Use the V/A buttons to increase or decrease the HOUR.
- Press the SET button to confirm the HOUR, the MINUTE will flash.
- Use the V/A buttons to increase or decrease the MINUTE.
- Press the SET button to confirm the MINUTE, the YEAR will flash.
- Use the V/A buttons to increase or decrease the YEAR.
- Press the SET button to confirm the YEAR, the MONTH will flash.
- Use the V/A buttons to increase or decrease the MONTH.
- Press the SET button to confirm the MONTH, the DAY will flash.
- Use the V/A buttons to increase or decrease the DAY.
- Press the SET button to confirm the DAY, °C/’ F will flash.
- Use the V/A buttons to select between °C/’ F temperature display.
- Press the SET button to confirm and save all settings.
NOTE : Day of week will automatically set based on the above calendar settings. If nothing is pressed for 10 seconds the clock will automatically save and exit from setting mode. Press and hold the SET button for 2 seconds to rapidly change values.
Dimmer Function
Press the button to use the display DIMMER. There are three levels of display brightness: High / Medium / Low (High is the default setting)
Daylight Savings Switch
Use the DST switch to add or subtract one hour from the current time.
- When switched to the -1 HR side it will subtract one hour to the current time.
- When switched to the +1 HR side it will add one hour to the current time.
Outdoor Sensor Features
- LED : Flashes when remote unit transmits a reading.
- WALL MOUNT
- CHANNEL SWITCH (inside battery compartment): Assign the sensor to channel 1 to receive 433.92MHz signal.
- BATTERY COMPARTMENT: Uses 2 AAA size batteries.
- BATTERY DOOR
Setting the Outdoor Sensor
- Remove the battery door and insert 2 AAA batteries into the battery compartment and follow the polarities marked.
- Slide the switch to Channel 1.
- Replace the battery door of the transmitter.
- Place the units away from metal objects and electrical appliances to minimize interference. Position the clock within the effective transmission range of 100 feet in usual circumstances.
Temperature Information
Indoor Temperature
- Indoor temperature range: 32°F~122°F / 0°C~50°C
- If the temperature exceeds 122°F, the display will show Hi.
- If the temperature is lower than 32°F, the display will show Lo.
Outdoor Temperature
- Outdoor temperature range: -21.8°F~ 150°F / -30°C~66°C
- If the temperature exceeds 150°F, the display will show Hi.
- If the temperature is lower than -21.8°F, the display will show Lo.
NOTE: After powering the clock the unit will search for the outdoor sensor within the first 3 minutes.
Optional Battery Backup
- Remove the BATTERY DOOR and insert 2 new “AAA” batteries (not included) in the direction of the polarity symbols.
- Please make sure the batteries are new and inserted correctly.
- The battery will hold the TIME and CALENDAR settings if the power is interrupted.
There will be no display under battery power. If there is no battery and the power is interrupted, the display will flash 12:00 and the TIME / CALENDAR will need to be reset.
Care of Your Clock
Replace the back up battery annually, or store the clock without a battery when not in use. A soft cloth or a paper towel may be used to clean your clock. Do not use any corrosive cleanser or chemical solutions on the clock. Keep the clock clean and dry to avoid any problems.
Battery Precautions
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
- Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
- The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak.

Digital Alarm Clock
This lightning flash and arrowhead within the triangle is a warning sign alerting you of “dangerous voltage” inside the product.

WARNING:

- All above markings were located on the bottom external enclosure of the apparatus, except for label of Date Code was pasted inside the battery compartment. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall not be placed on apparatus.
Caution : Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
WARNING : The battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
