SHARP SPC543 Projection Alarm Clock USB Port User Manual

Thank you for your purchase of this quality clock. The utmost care has gone into the design and manufacture of your clock. Please read these instructions and store them in a safe place for future reference.

CONNECTING TO THE POWER SUPPLY

Insert the AC adaptor into a 120V AC – 60Hz mains outlet.

USB CHARGING

To charge, connect your USB device to the USB port of this clock.

Note:

  • Use only with devices that require 5V USB power.
  • USB port provides a 2,000mA recharging current. Devices requiring more than 2,000mA should not be used.
  • Charging time may vary for different devices.

SETTING THE CLOCK

  • Press and hold the TIME button down for 3 seconds until the hour digits flash.
  • Press the UP or DOWN button to advance to the correct hour.
  • Note: The PM indicator will light up when the hour is advanced into the PM time.
  • Press the TIME button to save the hour setting and the minute digits will flash.
  • Press the  UP or DOWN button to advance to the correct minute and press the TIME button again to save and exit the time setting.

SETTING THE DATE

  • Press and hold the DATE button down for 3 seconds and the year digits on the display will begin to flash. Note: The YEAR will be shown in place of the time digits.
  • Press the  UPor DOWN button until the correct year is reached.
  • Press the DATE button to save the year setting and the month digits will flash.
  • Repeat the above steps to set the month and date.
  • When the correct date setting is reached, press the DATE button again to exit the setting.

SETTING THE ALARM

  • Press and hold the ALARM button down for 3 seconds until the hour digits flash.
  • Press the UPor DOWN button to advance to the correct hour.
  • Note: The PM indicator will light up when the hour is advanced into the PM time.
  • Press the ALARM button to save the hour setting and the minute digits will flash.
  • Press the UP or DOWN button to advance to the correct minute and press the ALARM button again to save and exit the alarm setting.

USING THE ALARM FUNCTION

  • To turn the alarm on, press the ALARM ON/OFF button and the alarm indicator will light up.
  • To turn the alarm off, press the ALARM ON/OFF button and the alarm indicator no longer be visible.

SNOOZE FUNCTION

Press the SNOOZE button when the alarm is sounding. The alarm will be silenced temporarily, but will resume sounding after 5 minutes.

TIME PROJECTION FUNCTION

Press the PROJECTION ON/OFF button to turn the time projection on or off. Swivel the projector to position the projection.

CARE OF YOUR CLOCK

  • Replace the back up battery annually, or store the clock without a battery when not in use.
  • A soft cloth or a paper towel may be used to clean your clock.
  • Do not use any corrosive cleanser or chemical solutions on the clock.
  • Keep your clock dry; if it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Keep your clock away from dust and dirt. Handle your clock carefully; do not drop it.
  • Do not subject the clock to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature, or humidity. Any of these conditions may shorten the life of the clock.
  • Do not tamper with any of the internal components of this clock. This will invalidate the warranty and may cause damage.

BATTERY BACKUP

  • Remove the BATTERY door and insert 2 new “AAA” batteries (not included, alkaline recommended) in the direction of the polarity symbols.
  • There will be no display under battery power and the ALARM will sound at the correct time.
  • If there is no battery and the power is interrupted, the display will flash 12:00 and the ALARM/TIME will need to be reset.

BATTERY WARNING

  • Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
  • Follow the polarity ( +) and (-) to place battery.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix Alkaline, Standard (Carbon – Zinc), or Rechargeable (Nickel – cadmium) batteries.
  • Incorrect battery placement will damage the dock movement and battery may leak.
  • Exhausted battery is to be removed from the product.
  • Remove batteries from equipment which is not to be used for an extended period of time.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak.

One-Year Limited Warranty

M.Z. Berger & Company warrants the original consumer purchaser of this product that ii shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the purchase dale of this product. Defects caused by tampering, improper use, unauthorized modifications or repairs, immersion in water or abuse are not covered by this warranty. If a defect covered by this warranty occurs during the warranty period, wrap your clock carefully and send ii to the following address:

You must include a Proof of Purchase, either the original receipt or a photocopy and a check or money order for USD $6.00 to cover the cost of handling. Also include your return address inside the package. M.Z. Berger will repair or replace the clock and return ii lo you. M.Z. Berger will not be liable for any loss or damage, including incidental or consequential damages of any kind; from any breach of warranty either expressed or implied relating to the product. Since some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, this limitation may not apply to you.
