SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons. These precautions include:

Read all instructions before using the appliance.

If the filter is covered by a bag when shipped, remove the plastic bag before use.
Keep the cord out of heavy traffic areas. To avoid fire hazards, NEVER put the cord under rugs, near heat registers, radiators, stoves, or heaters.
To protect against electrical hazards, DO NOT immerse in water or other liquids. Do not use near water.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children, or disabled persons.
Always unplug the air purifier before moving or cleaning the unit, opening the grill, changing the filters, and whenever the unit is not in use. To disconnect the unit, be sure to pull the plug and not the cord.
NEVER drop or insert any objects into the openings of the unit.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug. If the motor fan fails to operate or the unit has been dropped or damaged in any manner, return the appliance to the manufacturer for examination and/or repair.
Use appliances only for intended household use as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause hazards.
DO NOT use outdoors.
NEVER place on a soft surface such as a bed or sofa as this could cause the unit to tip over and block the air inlet or outlet grills.
Keep the unit away from heated surfaces and open flames.
DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void your warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user-serviceable parts. All servicing should be performed by Jarden Consumer Solutions or an authorized Jarden Consumer Solutions Center.
DO NOT place anything on top of the unit.
NEVER use detergents, gasoline, glass cleaner, furniture polish, paint thinner, or other household solvents to clean any part of the appliance.
Always turn the appliance off before unplugging it.
This appliance should only be used in a room with temperatures between 40° F and 110° F.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, DO NOT use this air purifier with any solid-state speed control device.

PLUG SAFETY

CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock, THIS PRODUCT
HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (one blade is wider than the other).
This plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. DO NOT ALTER THE PLUG IN ANY WAY.

CORD SAFETY

The length of cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce tangling or tripping hazards.
If a longer cord is necessary, an approved extension cord may be used. The electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the electrical rating of the air purifier (see the rating label marked on the product).
Care must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over.

GET TO KNOW YOUR AIR

Your true HEPA air cleaner removes up to 99.97% of airborne allergens as small as 0.3 microns, including ragweed pollen, grass pollen, tree pollen, household dust, dust mite debris, mold spores, pet dander, and smoke from the air passing through the filter.

FEATURES

Dual Position
- The air purifier can stand upright or lie on its side. Also designed to fit with its back flush against the wall. When positioning the unit, please be sure the air inlet grill, filters, and air outlet are not blocked to ensure maximum airflow
Filter Window
- On the front grill, there is a small opening that will enable you to see your carbon filter at a glance. As it picks up dust and debris, the window will turn gray indicating the air purifier is working and you may need to change the carbon filters.
HEPA Filter Indicator
- When the HEPA filter is approaching the end of its useful life, the indicator light will turn red. When the red indicator light starts flashing, it is time to change the HEPA filter.
Carbon Filter Indicator
- When the carbon filter indicator light turns yellow change the carbon filter.
Energy Star Rated
- This product earned the ENERGY STAR by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the US EP not endorsing any manufacturer claims of healthier indoor air from the use of this product. The energy efficiency of each ENERGY STAR qualified model is measured based on a ratio between the model’s CADR for Dust and the electrical energy it consumes, or CADR/Watt.
Timer
- The timer allows you to run your air purifier at your convenience, for up to 16 hours. To operate using the timer mode, at the control panel on the air purifier select a speed.

TRO UBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM	SOLUTION
The unit will not operate	• Check to make sure the unit is properly plugged

in.

• Check to make sure the unit is on by pressing the ( ) button.

• If the front grill does not fit properly, the unit will not operate. Make sure the filters a properly installed and make sure front grill is seated correctly.

Decreased airflow| • If the HEPA Filter Life Indicator is red, the HEPA filters need to be changed.

• If the filters have not been changed in a year or more change the HEPA filters.

• Check to ensure nothing is blocked in the air inlet and filtered air outlet.

• Be sure the plastic bag has been removed from the carbon filter.

• If the carbon filter life indicator is yellow, the carbon filters need to be changed.

• Ensure carbon filtersarechangedevery3-6months.

Sunbeam Products, Inc. doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions or if, in Canada, Sunbeam Corporation (Canada) Limited doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions (collectively “JCS”) warrants that for five years from the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship. JCS, at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, a replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty or adjusts any electrical or mechanical functions on this product. Doing so will void this warranty This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. JCS dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling JCS products do not have the right to alter the conditions of this warranty.
