Introduction
Cooling
Cooling with the Lea is a perfectly natural and affordable cooling method with
low energy requirements. The device produces moist cool air by using the
evaporative cooling principle. The hot room air is cooled by being sucked
through an absorbent filter that is soaked with water. The Lea is best suited
for smaller spaces where doors and windows are wanted to be kept open. In the
humid northern regions, the unit’s exhaust air will likely be cooled by
between 3 and 5 degrees, depending on the temperature and humidity of the
intake air. Therefore, the Lea is unable to cool a room from 30°C to 23°C, but
the less the humidity, the more the Lea can cool a room. There is no water
discharge as in the case of mobile air conditioning units, neither is hot air
discharged through a window, a door or a hole in the wall. It makes Lea
flexible and easy to handle. Fill the tank with water, connect it to a power
source and press ON. The evaporator is in accordance with international
standards for environmental protection
Filtering
This device filters out harmful micro-substances such as dust, fibers and the
like from the air.
Evaporation
The Lea will add moisture to dry air and maintain a healthy moisture balance
in indoor living areas for the benefit of the skin and eyes.
Airflow selection
The unit has 8 airflow options that meet a wide range of needs.
Choice of airflow type
Choose between three types of airflow modes: Smooth which gives off a constant
breeze, Varied, which simulates a natural breeze and Night, which is a muted
version of the Varied mode.
Airflow direction
By automatically oscillating, this unit can blow out air over a radius of 120
degrees.
Preparation and operation
Unpack the unit and make sure that the instruction manual, remote control and
wheels are enclosed.
The unit must be placed on a horizontal surface. The unit must not be tilted
when it is in operation.
Check the power supply and ensure that it is in accordance with the parameters
of the air cooler.
Filling with water
If the unit is new or has not been in use in the cooling mode for a long
period of time, it will be necessary to fill it up with clean water before
use. The power supply must be disconnected before filling with water, in order
to prevent damage to the electrical parts. Fill the tank with water up to the
maximum – not over, as the water may overflow.
Fitting the wheels
The wheels without brakes must be fitted at the front and the wheels with brakes must be fitted at the rear.
Storage
If the unit will not be used for a long period of time, the water tank must be
emptied and cleaned. Allow the device to blow at the normal temperature for a
while, in order to dry the system. In particular, the filter should be
completely dry. We recommend that the unit is kept in its original packaging.
Cleaning
The evaporator and the static filter may become clogged with dust or dirt. This will affect the air volume and the cooling system. It is recommended that it is cleaned at least every second week. The cleaning procedure is as follows:
- Disconnect the power supply.
- Loosen the filter screen tabs at the top and remove the filter screen and the evaporator grille.
- Rinse both with clean, lukewarm water without the use of soap.
- Replace the evaporator grille and filter screen to their original positions.
NOTE The evaporator grille must be installed the correct way round, otherwise, you may experience water leakage from the grille.
NOTE
If the water pump is not working or functioning abnormally, you must clean the
water inlet. If water cannot be drained, you need to disassemble and clean the
bottom valve and the valve core. Clean the inside of the outlet valve and
replace it in its original position.
In order to achieve optimal performance, make sure there is ample clearance
around the unit when it is in operation. Otherwise, the service life will be
affected and in severe cases the motor can burn out.
Relocation of the unit
If the unit needs to be moved to another position, it must be done slowly and
carefully, to avoid the water in the tank overflowing. We recommend that the
water tank is removed before the unit is moved.
Control panel

Safety instructions
IMPORTANT
Use a standard power supply of AC 220 V ~ 50 Hz. After filling with water, do
not tilt or bump into the unit. The unit must not tip over when it is in
operation, as otherwise, an accident may occur.
-
The air cooler must not be covered and avoid placing anything heavy on top of it. The air exhaust must not be blocked and there must be an obstructed space of at least one meter in front of and behind the unit in order for the air to be able to flow freely.
-
The working temperature for this unit is between 0 °C – 40 °C. The device must not be placed in extremely high or low temperatures. In summer when it is very hot, the quality of the water deteriorates faster and can begin to smell. It should therefore be frequently replaced.
-
Use a damp cloth to clean the outside (possibly with a small amount of cleaning agent). Do not use corrosive cleaning agents or solvents for this purpose, because it will ruin the surface of the unit. Rinsing with water is not allowed.
-
During storage or transport the water tank must be emptied. Allow the unit to blow without cooling until the filter is completely dry before packing the unit. This to avoid the formation of mold on the filter.
Remove the plug from the electricity socket when the unit is not in use for extended periods. -
If the power cord is damaged, it must only be replaced by the manufacturer, their service agent, or a similarly qualified professional.
-
This appliance is not intended for use by anyone (including children) who has impaired physical, sensory, or mental capacity or anyone who lacks the required experience and knowledge, except under supervision or after training in the use of the device by a person, who is also responsible for their safety.
-
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
