TO BEGIN PLAYING
Real Binoculars
The binoculars can be used to explore your surroundings.
They are capable of 10x optical zoom with 21 mm diameter objective lenses. An
object 100 meters away can appear the same size as when viewed from a distance
of 10 meters. This functionality does not have any electronic parts, so the
binoculars can be used even when the unit is not powered on.
WARNING
- Never look at the sun or other intense sources of light through the binoculars to avoid the risk of eye damage or blindness.
- Never leave the binoculars where direct sunlight can enter either the Binoculars Objective Lens or Ocular Lens. This can damage the binoculars and cause it to stop working or cause fires and/or burns.
- Children should only use the binoculars under supervision.
Wrist Strap Attachment Instructions
Use the included Wrist Strap to avoid accidently dropping the device. To
securely attach the binoculars to the Wrist Strap:
Step 1: Locate the thread loop on the end of the strap. Insert it into
the groove behind the bar and then push the loop through the opening.
Step 2: Feed the end of the strap up and through the loop and pull it
tight.
Step 3: Make sure the loop is securely tightened around the bar.
How to Use
-
Hold the binoculars up to your eyes using both hands and use the Wrist Strap to secure the device if desired.
-
While looking at a distant object, carefully move the 2 Adjustable Binocular Barrels to fit the width of your eyes so that your left and right fields are correctly aligned, forming a perfect circle.
If the interpupillary distance (IPD) has not been properly adjusted, the image might be uncomfortable to view. -
Turn the Focus Dial until the image appears sharp and clear.
If the Focus Dial makes a clicking sound, it has reached the end of its turning capacity and will no longer change the image’s sharpness or clarity until the Focus Dial is turned in the opposite direction.
The best viewing distance of any object is at least 4 meters away (approximately), otherwise the Focus Dial may not be able to focus on or sharpen the image.
TO BEGIN PLAYING WITH THE LCD SCREEN
Press the Power Button to turn on the unit.
Camera Mode & Night Vision Mode
After powered on, the unit will enter Camera mode by default. This mode
allows you to take photos with up to 2x digital zoom. To return to Camera mode
from a different mode or menu, press the Camera Button or select Camera mode
from the Main Menu.
To enter Night Vision mode, press the Night Vision Button or select Night
Vision mode from the Main Menu. This mode allows you to view your surroundings
on the screen and take photos in the dark. It requires more power from the
batteries than the other modes. If the batteries do not have enough power,
Night Vision mode cannot be used. Please replace the batteries if this occurs.
Alkaline batteries are recommended for a better Night Vision experience.
The following functions are available in both Camera mode and Night Vision
mode:
- Use the D-Pad to change the settings.
- Press the Magnification Button for a closer look at the image on the screen.
- Press the Night Vision Button to enter Night Vision mode. Press this button again to exit Night Vision mode and go back to Camera mode.
- Press the Camera Button or the Check Mark Button to take photos of what’s displayed on the screen.
microSD Card Slot
- If no microSD card is inserted into the device, photos will be saved to the unit’s internal memory, which can hold about 100 images. NOTE: This number will vary depending on the number of colors in the photo. Photos with more colors take up more memory, whereas photos with fewer colors take up less memory.
- If a microSD card (not included) is inserted into the microSD Card Slot, all photos taken will be saved to the microSD card. The Magic AdventuresTM Binoculars device supports microSD cards up to 32GB.
- The maximum number of photos that can be stored on a microSD card is 30,096. If more than 30,096 pictures are taken, the device will overwrite existing photos with the same file name.
- Removing the microSD card or powering off the unit while taking a photo, deleting a photo, overwriting an existing photo, or while transferring a photo to the microSD card may cause the unit to freeze or result in the creation of corrupted photos. Corrupted photos will be displayed with an error icon in the Gallery.

Doing so may corrupt the photos or cause the unit to freeze. Corrupted photos
will be displayed in the Gallery with an error icon.
If the microSD card has a large number of saved photos, it is normal for the
deletion process to take longer.
Photos in the Instruction Manual are for illustrative purposes only and may
not reflect actual image quality.
Copying Photos from the Binoculars to a Computer
- Insert a microSD card** into the microSD Card Slot of the unit.
- In the Gallery, select the Photo Transfer icon to transfer all of your saved photos from the unit’s internal memory to the inserted microSD card.
- After the photo transfer is completed***, take the microSD card out of the unit and insert it into a computer.
- The saved photos**** are located in the microSD card’s folder #BINOCULARS/XX/YY. XX is a two-digit number from 01 to 16 that will be assigned to the folder name. YY is another two-digit number from 01 to 19 that will be assigned to the sub-folder name.
- Copy the folder #BINOCULARS directly to the computer. DO NOT cut and paste the files individually from this folder.
- The unit supports microSD cards up to 32GB (not included).
- During the photo transfer process, do not remove the microSD card or power off the unit. Doing so may corrupt the transferring photo or cause the unit to freeze. Corrupted photos will be displayed in the Gallery with an error icon .

NOTE
- Do not rename, edit or delete the folder #BINOCULARS or any of its sub-folders.
- Do not add any folders to the folder #BINOCULARS or any of its sub-folders.
- Do not rename, edit or delete any files in the folder #BINOCULARS or any of its sub-folders.
- Do not add any files to the folder #BINOCULARS or any of its sub-folders. If a microSD card is inserted into the device with renamed, edited, deleted, or added folders or files, the Gallery may exhibit the following unexpected behaviors:
- Some saved photos may not be displayed.
- Some saved photos may be displayed with an error icon.
- The display order of the saved photos may be incorrect. New photos that are taken while in Camera mode or Night Vision mode may not be displayed on the first page of the Gallery.
- The thumbnails and the full-screen photos may not match each other.
This may also cause unexpected behaviour when trying to take more photos
while in Camera mode or Night Vision mode:
The device may request to overwrite existing photos that share the same
filename as the new photo being taken.
Parent Menu
A Parent Menu is available in case parents need to reset the device or

used. When this occurs, an icon will appear on the LCD Screen indicating that
the batteries are too low to use Night Vision mode. If you want to continue to
use Night Vision mode, please replace the batteries when you see this icon.
Alkaline batteries are recommended for a better Night Vision experience.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
- Do not point the binoculars directly at the sun and never leave the unit where direct sunlight can enter either the Binoculars Objective or Ocular Lens. Light ray concentration can damage the device and cause the binoculars to stop working. It can also cause fires and/or burns.
- Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
- Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
- Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
- Avoid sharp impacts. Use the included Wrist Strap to avoid accidently dropping the unit to prevent mis-alignment of the optics.
- NEVER try to dismantle the unit.
Cleaning the Binoculars Objective or Ocular Lens
- Blow away any dust or debris on the lens (or use a soft lens brush).
- To remove fingerprints or other smears, clean with a soft, lint-free cloth rubbing in a circular motion. A “microfiber” cleaning cloth (available from camera or computer retailers) is ideal for the routine cleaning of your optics.
- For a more thorough cleaning, photographic lens tissue and photographic-type lens cleaning fluid or isopropyl alcohol may be used. Always apply the fluid to the cleaning cloth – never directly on the lens.
- Do not use excessive pressure – this may scratch the lens.
Cleaning the LCD Screen
- Slightly dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with water and wipe the screen to loosen dirt.
- Using a clean and dry cloth, wipe the screen dry. Repeat these two steps as needed.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the program/activity stops working, please follow these steps:
- Turn the unit Off.
- Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
- Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
- Turn the unit On. The unit will now be ready to play again.
- If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If the problem persists, please call our Consumer Services Department at

Environmental Phenomena
The unit may malfunction if subjected to radio-frequency interference. It
should revert to normal operation when the interference stops. If not, it may
become necessary to turn the power Off and back On, or remove and reinstall
the batteries. In the unlikely event of an electrostatic discharge, the unit
may malfunction and lose memory, requiring the user to reset the device by
removing and reinstalling the batteries.
WARNING
A very small percentage of the public, due to an existing condition, may
experience epileptic seizures or momentary loss of consciousness when viewing
certain types of flashing colors or patterns, especially on television. While
the Magic Adventures™ Binoculars does not contribute to any additional risks,
we do recommend that parents supervise their children while they play video
games. If your child experiences dizziness, altered vision, disorientation, or
convulsions, discontinue use immediately and consult your physician. Please
note that focusing on an LCD screen at close range for a prolonged period of
time may cause fatigue or discomfort. We recommend that children take a
15-minute break for every hour of play.
Never look at the sun or other intense sources of light through the binoculars
to avoid the risk of eye damage or blindness.
Never leave the binoculars where direct sunlight can enter either the
Binoculars Objective Lens or Ocular Lens. This can damage the binoculars and
cause it to stop working or cause fires and/or burns.
OTHER NOTES
Electrostatic discharge or Electrical fast transient/burst may cause the unit
to malfunction. In these cases, recover the unit by pressing and holding the
Power Button for 10 seconds until the unit turns off, then press and hold the
Power Button for 3 seconds to power on the unit. Another solution is to remove
the batteries for 10 seconds and reinstall them.
