This User’s Guide describes the safety symbols as well as the symbols and programs used internationally on this machine. Before using this machine, you must have read all safety warnings. Improper use of this log cracker can cause injury as a result of fire or electric shock, or it can lead to cut injuries and property damage. Keep this User’s Guide in a safe place so you can refer to it when you need it
General Safety Instructions
Read this chapter carefully. Accurate knowledge of the dangerous situations
described during the operation of the machine and of the instructions for
proper use is indispensable to avoid injury to people and animals, as well as
damage to property.
IMPORTANT : This wood splitter is used exclusively for cutting logs,
whose dimensions must correspond to the recommendations given in this
document. Any other use will be considered inappropriate, and the manufacturer
will not be liable for injuries resulting from people or animals, as well as
for any property damage resulting from improper use of this machine. The user
must be within the specified work area and must use both hands to operate the
control device. Under no circumstances should the user use any other system.
Any other person or animal, with the exception of the user, must maintain a
safety distance of at least 5 m around this cracker while it is in use. Check
the terrain you plan to work on for stability and a firm grip. This log
splitter can only be used with its protection mechanisms properly installed.
If the instructions given in this chapter are not taken into account, serious
personal injury or damage to property or machinery may occur.

Only one person can work with this machine.

No one can use this log splitter without first reading its User Guide or having received instructions on the rules for the proper and safe use of the machine.

The operator must be at least 18 years old. Students with a minimum age of 16 years can only work on this machine under supervision.

Never wear jewelry (rings, necklaces, watches, etc.) or wide clothing such as gloves or oversized shoes, as these could get caught by moving parts. Specific protective clothing such as safety shoes and special gloves are mandatory. Always use a hair net if you have it long.

Always wear safety glasses. Keep in mind that regular glasses do not offer sufficient protection as they can even cause more serious injuries as a result of glass breakage.

Always use this log splitter on dry, level and unfrozen ground. If you use this log mower outdoors on the lawn, make sure the grass has been mowed.

Make sure you have a good position to keep your balance. Never lean on your log splitter. Make sure the log splitter is firmly placed on the ground so that it cannot fall. This can prevent serious injuries.

Stay far enough away from the blade to avoid injury caused by splinters.

Keep other people away. Any other person, child or animal, with the exception of the user, must maintain a safety distance of 5 m around this log splitter while in use.

Be sure to remove foreign bodies from the trunk you want to crack to prevent them from falling off during operation and causing damage to this machine.

Never scrape logs containing nails, cables or dangerous foreign substances. Make sure that always the two ends of the trunk you are processing are cut as square as possible. This is the only way to ensure that the trunk is not forced out of its upright position, while the branches must have been cut flush.

Never attempt to crack a log, the dimensions of which are larger than those specified in “Size of logs”. Otherwise, the result will be injury or irreparable damage to the machine.

Remove the trunks lengthwise. Never place a log transversely to crack it in this way. This could lead to injury and damage to the machine.

Never place logs to process several at the same time. Parts of the wood could be thrown into the air and hit you.

ONLY use your hands to operate the levers. Never use your feet, knees, rope, or similar means to operate levers. Continuously focus on the movements of the cutting blade. Never attempt to load the log splitter while its blade is in motion. Do not place your hands near the moving parts of this machine.

Protect your hands. Never bring your hands close to openings in the trunk, as they can instantly close and crush or even cut off your hands. Do not remove stuck parts of a log with your hands. When the blade of the log splitter returns, keep your hands off the machine, as this machine has been designed to stop automatically once the cylinder has fully retracted.

Do not force this log cracker under full load for more than 5 seconds by holding down the cylinder, for example, or if you want to crack a rigid log. This would result in rapid overheating of the pressurized oil, causing serious damage to the machine. It is advisable to rotate the trunk 90° and try to divide it in this position. If it is still impossible to open, discard it instead of subjecting it to any other cracking process to
Avoid damage to the machine. -
Do not press the cracking blade against the trunk. It could cause the blade to break or damage the spine.

Do not use your machine under any circumstances when you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medications, or if you are tired.

This machine should never be used in wet or potentially explosive areas. Never use this machine in rooms that contain aggressive vapours (natural gas, gasoline vapours, or flammable vapours).

Never smoke while working with this machine and make sure there are no open fire sources or oil tanks near your work area. HAZARD – DANGER OF EXPLOSION.

Check if your power supply circuit is connected efficiently and Meets the characteristics of the engine. Compliance with rated power, voltage and frequency (see values on type label), grounding and a standard voltage transformer connected in series are indispensable.

Never leave this machine unattended after you have turned it on or while it is running. Keep an eye on the machine until it comes to a complete stop. Unplug the power cord when not using this machine, or before performing any maintenance work, change the connections and move the machine. Please read this User Guide before performing any maintenance work.

Appropriate use
- This machine complies with the applicable CE machinery directive.
- The trunks can only be opened longitudinally. Never try to crack logs transversely.
- The safety, work and maintenance instructions given by the manufacturer, as well as the dimensions indicated in the technical specifications, must always be maintained.
- All safety rules must be strictly observed in order to avoid serious breakdowns and especially accidents.
- This log splitter can only be used, maintained or repaired by qualified persons who are familiar with it and have been informed about the dangers related to it. Any unauthorized modification made to this log cracker will exclude the manufacturer’s liability for any resulting damage.
- This log splitter can only be used with original accessories and tools from its manufacturer.
- Any use exceeding this will be considered inappropriate. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage resulting therefrom, and the risk thereof shall be borne exclusively by the user. NOTE: This machine has been designed and built on the conditionthat you follow this User’s Guide. Any modification to this machine or its use for any purpose for which it was not designed may result in serious or fatal accidents and will automatically void any claim right under warranty.
Residual risks
Even proper use can involve the following residual risks:
- Injuries to your fingers and hands caused by the blade.
- Injuries from moving parts and parts that detach as a result of improper securing and placement of the trunk.
- Contact injuries when electrical components are open or defective.
- Hearing problems after working for a long time without wearing ear protection.
- Residual risks can be minimized by following the instructions given in the “Appropriate” section
- Chapters of use “e” Safety Instructions “, as well as in this User Guide in general.
Working conditions
This log chipper is designed for outside temperatures between +5°C and 40°C
and for installation at a maximum altitude of 1000 m above sea level. Air
humidity in the workplace should not exceed 50% at 40 ° C. This machine can be
stored or handled at outside temperatures between -25°C and 55°C.
Electrical Safety
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the electrical circuit is in perfect condition
and that the power, voltage and frequency of the motor are compatible with the
power supply. Also, make sure your power supply is grounded. Connect your log
cracker to ground. Never open the ON/OFF switch box. However, if it is
necessary to do so, contact a qualified electrician. Make sure you will never
touch live contacts, specifically when connecting or disconnecting your log
clewer. This machine and its power cord should never come into contact with
water. Never use your power cord to move your cracker. Always unplug the power
cord before handling your log clewer. Do not pull the outlet plug on the cord
and protect it against sources of heat, oil, and objects that may damage it.
Do not expose your log splitter to rain or moisture.
CAUTION : It is important to avoid using coiled extensions or extensions
with a section less than 2.5 mm with the machine. The use of such extensions
could cause damage to the engine, which would void warranty coverage. The
extensions must be of the shortest possible length and a section appropriate
to said length. For example, for lengths of 5 to 10 meters, an extension of at
least 2.5 mm in section is recommended. For applications requiring greater
length, it is advisable to consider using a gasoline machine. This measure
guarantees optimal performance and avoids possible problems associated with
the use of inappropriate extensions.

Assembly
STEP 1: HANDLE ASSEMBLY
- Fix handle #22 at the end of the beam with bolt #23, spring washer #9 and washer #10.
- Adjust the beam to a horizontal position and fix it with the locking system.
- Assemble the cylinder and wedge guard to the beam using a hex screw (#16), Pressure washer, Flat washer and Nut (#11).
- Assemble the two wheels # (39) on the main body using the wheel shaft (# 48), flat washer (#29) and nut (# 37).
STEP 3 : ASSEMBLE THE TRUNK GUIDES
- Assemble the left and right trunk guides (#2 and #14) using nuts (#8), a pressure washer, and flat washer.
- Assembly the trunk guard using nuts, a flat washer, and a bolt (#7).
STEP 4: HYDRAULIC SLEEVES AND WORKING HANDLE ASSEMBLY
- Assemble the control handle assembly.
- Connect the hydraulic hose (#59). Connect the high-pressure hose (#59) that goes between the distributor and the pump.
- Using the other hydraulic sleeve (#58) to be assembled to the distributor and oil tank. Attach one end to the distributor outlet gasket (already fixed at the factory) and another end to the oil tank.
Transporting your wood chipper For easier handling, this log splitter is
provided with two small wheels. To move it, hold the carrying handle with your
hand and carefully tilt the machine back. Make sure the oil tank cap is
closed.
NOTE : IF YOU USE A CRANE TO MOVE THE SPLITTER, USE A SUITABLE LIFTING
ROPE TO HANG IT AND LIFT THE MACHINE CAREFULLY. NEVER HANG THE CRANE HOOK ON
THE CARRYING HANDLE.
Commissioning
Follow the instructions provided below before you begin:
- The machine must be positioned so that it is stable and safe against slipping. Provide enough space around your log splitter so you can operate it safely.
- Make sure that no unauthorized person (especially children) can approach your work area.
- Before commissioning, all safety and protection devices must have been correctly placed. Check if all screws, bolts, hydraulic couplings and pipe clamps have been tightened correctly. Before each start, always make sure that the hydraulic oil level is correct.
- This machine should never be used when it is in an inoperable condition or needs some maintenance. Before using this log splitter, familiarize yourself with its controls security elements and how they work.
- Make sure that the data indicated on the information label conforms to the data of your electrical network before connecting your log splitter.
Size of firewood
- Choose your workplace with your safety standards in mind. Have the logs to be cracked ready to be picked up easily. Remove ready-made firewood from the work area.
- Before cracking the logs, separate those that are more than 52 cm. The maximum diameter is 30 cm.
- Do not keep the machine under full load for more than 5 seconds.
NOTE : NEVER ATTEMPT TO CRACK GREEN WOOD. DRY WOOD IS MUCH EASIER TO
DIVIDE THAN GREEN, WET LOGS.
Application
IMPORTANT: There is a breath plug on the left side of the machine. Every time
you want to start your work, you need to loosen this plug about four turns to
ensure good air circulation in the oil tank. Before transporting this machine,
close this cap to prevent oil leakage. If you leave the vent plug tight while
working, hydraulic movements will cause an overpressure that can damage your
machine.

To ensure a longer life of your machine, apply a little grease to the sliding surfaces always after use (cleaning the area beforehand).

Always place the power cord so that it cannot be damaged (by your work).

Open the vent plug. Open the hydraulic oil tank cap for a few turns each time you start your work. Completely close the lid of the hydraulic oil tank after work.

Check the operating direction of the engine.
CAUTION: NEVER RUN THE ENGINE IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. THIS WILL INEVITABLY LEAD TO DAMAGE TO THE PUMPING SYSTEM, AS A RESULT OF WHICH YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ENTITLED TO CLAIM UNDER WARRANTY. -
If you want to run this log splitter at very low temperatures, run the machine at rest for 15 minutes before starting work to allow the hydraulic oil to warm up.

If necessary and in order to reduce the risks of accident, immediately remove the cut wood from your work area and stack it.

After you have finished your work, allow the cutting blade to return to its starting position. Then stop the engine and disconnect the machine from its power supply and let the machine cool down. After that, you need to clean and lubricate it. This log splitter can only be stored in a dry and clean place. Make sure the oil tank has the lid tightly closed and no oil will come out during storage.
CAUTION: ACCUMULATED FIREWOOD AND WOOD CHIPS ARE SOURCES OF DANGER. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR AREA AROUND YOU CLEAN SO YOU CAN’T SLIP.

- To release a stuck log, never hit your chipper with blunt objects. Do not mistreat the stuck log with your feet or any object either, as a sudden release of the stuck piece will cause the log pusher to give way. It can lead to personal injury or damage to your machine, respectively.
- All safety rules contained in the chapter “General Safety Instructions” shall apply to any of the interventions described above. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any injury to persons or animals or damage to property as a result of improper use of this machine or failure to comply with the safety standards.

Maintenance and care
Keep your log splitter carefully. Clean the machine after each use. To ensure
the best possible and safest performance, keep your log cracker clean.
Lubricate the machine according to the instructions. Check all seals, pipes,
and couplings for leaks before starting your work. Keep the operating levers
and main switch clean, dry, and free of oil or grease.
Cleaning your cracker
- Unplug the power cord.
- Use a damp cloth to clean the plastic parts. Do not use cleaning products, solvents or sharp objects.
- Use a soft brush to remove dust deposits from motor vents and moving parts at regular intervals.
- Always keep all moving parts well-oiled. To do this, apply a little oil after each use.
Hydraulic fluid change
IMPORTANT : Take the used oil to a public reception depot and
scrupulously observe the relevant disposal regulations of the country where
this log splitter is used. Do not dispose of oil in sewer systems, on the
ground or in bodies of water of any kind.
The hydraulic system is a closed system consisting of an oil tank, an oil pump
and control valves. Too low an oil level can damage the pump. The oil level
should not be less than 1–2 cm above the bottom surface of the oil tank.
Change the oil completely once a year.
- Make sure that no foreign particles enter the oil tank.
- Properly dispose of used oil after each oil change.
- Allow your log splitter to run effortlessly for a few minutes after each oil change before starting your work again.

- Cleaning and sharpening of sliding surfaces
This log splitter is equipped with a specifically treated cutting blade. After a long period of use, it may happen that the guide surfaces experience some abrasion and become opaque. With a suitable tool, you can remove deposits of material and sharpen the blade. In the end, it is recommended to moisten the surface you have treated with a little oil or other lubricant.
