DESCRIPTION
PRESENTATION
You just bought a DUAL DC STABILIZED PROGRAMMABLE POWER SUPPLY type elc
ALR3206D. We thank you and congratulate you for your good choice. else’s
company is a specialist manufacturer that proposes a wide range of POWER
SUPPLIES and many other electronic test instruments: FUNCTION GENERATORS,
DECADE BOXES, and DIGITAL PANEL METERS. This item has been conceived according
to the European standard EN61010-1 and supplied in good condition. This
electrical instrument is intended for professionals, industrials and school
users. This instructions manual contains information and notes, which must be
respected by the purchaser, to ensure safe working and to maintain the
instrument in good condition.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION OF THE UNIT
This item is used in laboratories. It is designed with a large graphic
display, a sensitive keypad, and a compact vertical box with a handle and cord
storage integrated into the rear panel. This item will give you satisfaction
by offering many possibilities.
Fully programmable, this power supply can be controlled in several ways:
- via the front panel using the sensitive keypad
- via the isolated USB interface
- via the isolated RS485 interface
- via the isolated analogical interface (0 – 10V or the 10K potentiometer)
Each output of this DC power supply is regulated in a voltage of 0 to 32V and a current of 0 to 6A.
- “Parallel” “Series” and “Tracking” modes allow you to pair inside, the two channels of the power supply to obtain :
- Parallel: 0 to 32V and 0 to 12A
- Serial: 0 to 64V and 0 to 6A
- Tracking : ± 0 to 32V and 0 to 6A (mode coupled) or 2x 0 to 32V 0 to 6A (mode isolated with common adjustment)
- Several programmable functions U and I are accessible directly from the keypad and you will make positive or negative ramps, up or down time, or a square, or arbitrary wave.
- Automatic remote sensing can be enabled in mode 4 wires on the rear panel outputs.
- The outputs can be turned “ON” or “OFF” together or separately and there is a sleep mode with a “standby” touch.
All parameters are displayed on the graphic display.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before any operation, read the following safety precautions to avoid injury and prevent damage to this product or another connection.
- To avoid all potential hazards, use this product only within the specified limits.
- Do not use the device without its cover. Do not use the item with its housing or any panels removed.
- Any intervention inside the casing, and particularly the fuse replacement, must imperatively be effected by skilled staff.
- The instrument must be used according to the instructions in this manual.
- Use it in a well-ventilated area. The air inlets and the fan outlet must be widely free, do not block them.
- Do not use it in wet conditions. Do not use in a wet environment to avoid electric shocks or short circuits inside the product.
- Do not use it in an explosive atmosphere. It is very important do not to operate the item near an explosive atmosphere, to prevent damage to the device or any personal injuries.
- The power cable is used as a cut system, the product must be connected to a 230V main source, easily accessible, with earth.
- When this unit must be powered via a separate autotransformer for a reduction of voltage, ensure that the common socket is connected to the grounding pole of the circuit of the supply.
- The common mode voltage between the ground and the output terminals must not exceed 100 VDC. In this case, a deemed dangerous voltage (> 60VDC) can be reached between one of the terminals and the earth. Therefore, it is imperative to use safety cables to connect the outputs of the device. Also, all connected devices must not have conductive parts accessible.

The basic mode on the LCD (1) shows the value of the voltage and current
setting about two channels; the output’s powerful, the current regulation mode
(CV or CC) and the output’s state (ON or OFF). If the OVP and OCP stopped are
less than the maximum setting (32V and 6A) they will be displayed.
The measurement (voltage or current) is displayed instead of the set, if different. Simply touch on the V or A selection keys to display the operator instructions.
-
KEYPAD AND SHIFT
The keypad (2) allows directly modifying the set values U and I getting access to secondary functions. -
CHANNEL SELECTION
The keypad (3) allows choosing de channel to set. ‘’V’’ or ‘’A’’ selected indicates the channel you choose and you can set. -
KEYS CONTROL
The keys (4) allow the selection of the set to change and the selection of the dual-function keyboard with shift. -
STANDBY MODE
Combined with the function ‘’2nd’’ the keypad (5) allows to enable or disable standby mode (consumption < 2.5W). -
ON/OFF: CHANNEL 1 OR CHANNEL 2
The keypad (6) and (8) allow enable or disable channels 1 and 2. The keypad (7) allows enable or disable both channels. -
SLIDER AND ARROWS SETTING
Sliders and arrows (7) allow a direct change to the set value U and I or navigate through the secondary functions menu. -
SOUND SIGNAL
- Short signal low frequency: keypad detects [0] to [9].
- Short signal medium frequency: keypad detect function ([V], [A], [OK], …)
- Long signal high-frequency Input value error or safety defect.
-
SAFETY SOCKETS CHANNEL 1 & CHANNEL 2
The sockets (9 and 11) (safety sockets Ø4mm) allow the connection to the outputs + and – of channels 1 and channel 2 to the load. -
EARTH FUNCTIONAL SOCKETS
The sockets (10) (safety socket Ø4mm ) & socket (22) (safety and inversed socket Ø4mm ) allow a functional connection to the earth.
DESCRIPTION OF CONTROL COMMANDS
