5 Way Chandelier Installation Instructions
Only qualified persons should assemble the luminaire. If in doubt, consult a
suitably qualified person. Installation MUST be carried out in accordance and
compliance with current building regulations.
Ensure the electrical supply is turned OFF at the fuse board.
-
Identify if there are any hidden pipes or electrical cables in the ceiling to avoid causing damage or risk of electrical shock during installation.
-
Determine the fixing method appropriate to the ceiling structure and secure the ceiling rose bracket to the ceiling. We would always recommended that it is secured to a suitably strong joist or beam.
-
Before attaching the ceiling rose to the bracket, each pendant drop should be adjusted to the desired drop height (the flex lengths of the Blue Chandeliers have been pre-set). Carefully loosen the cord grip at the top of each pendant drop. Adjust the cords equally until the desired drop length is reached. It is essential to make the drop height of each of the wires above the wooden hoop identical; failure to do this will mean the light will not hang straight. Tighten the cord grips to securely hold each of the cords at the desired length.
-
If required, cut excess cord and using the supplied crimps, join the cable cores within the crimps so that one crimp contains 6 live cores and one contains 6 neutral cores (one live core and one neutral core will be the small fly lead connector). Once all cables are crimped, the fly lead ends and the earth cable can be connected to the terminal block within the ceiling rose taking note of the live, neutral and earth positions. Connect the mains electrical supply to the corresponding positions on the terminal block. The luminaire is designed to be attached to an electrical supply of
220- 240V AC 50-60Hz. -
Once the pendant drops are adjusted to the desired height and the electrical connection is made, lampshades/bulbs can now be fitted. If you have a chandelier with lampshades attached, refer to the lampshade fitting instructions included.
-
Screw in your chosen light bulbs. The lampshade has been designed to work with E27 LED bulbs, up to a maximum of 25 Watts each.
-
Turn the power supply on to complete installation.
If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it shall
be exclusively replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar
qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
