Wall Hook Installation Instructions
Laris Wall Hook
Laris Wall Hook – The surface to which the Laris wall Hook will be
mounted, should be capable of supporting 3kg. The hook has an overall load
limit of 2.5kg
Meru Trio Peg Rail – The surface to which the Meru Trio Peg Rail will
be mounted, should be capable of supporting 8kg. The hook has an overall load
limit of 7.5kg (2.5kg per hook)
- Identify if there are any hidden pipes or electrical cables in the wall to avoid causing damage or risk of electrical shock during installation. The wall must be capable of supporting the weight of the Laris (3kg)/Meru (8kg)when fully loaded.
- Make a mark to drill the hole(s) to fix the hook to the wall using the wooden plate as a template ensuring it is level (A). Determine the fixing method appropriate to the wall structure (e.g. plasterboard plugs). We would always recommend finding joists if possible.
- Once the hole(s) are drilled in the wall, thread the screw(s) first through the brass collar(s) and both holes on the leather strap(s) to create a loop and lastly through the wooden plate (B). Using a flathead screwdriver, carefully tighten the screw(s) to attach the Hook to the wall so that none of the shanks is visible. Be careful not to over-tighten as the brass collar will crush and mark the leather.
- Screw the brass screw cap(s) to the head of the screw(s) to complete the installation (C).
