Product Usage Instructions:

Hardware Overview:

The DAP-X3060 package includes LED indicators for power/status
and interface connectors for reset, console, LAN(PoE), and
power.

Installation:

The DAP-X3060 can be powered using Power over Ethernet (PoE) by
connecting it to a PoE power source device like an 802.3at PoE
switch or injector.

Manual Configuration:

Before mounting the device, manually configure it by connecting
it to the management computer using an Ethernet cable and accessing
the web user interface through dapx3060.local.

Using Nuclias Connect:

The DAP-X3060 is designed to be managed through Nuclias Connect.
Refer to the Nuclias Connect Manual for detailed configuration
instructions.

Before You Begin

System Requirements

This installation guide provides instructions for installing the DAP-X3060 on your network. Additional documentation is also available on the D-Link support website.
· Nuclias Connect Manual: For additional information and instructions on how to configure the device using Nuclias Connect.
· DAP-X3060 User Manual: For additional information and instructions on how to configure the device using the web user interface.

· Computers with Windows®, Macintosh®, or Linux-based operating systems with an installed Ethernet Adapter
· Internet Explorer 11, Safari 7, Firefox 28, or Google Chrome 33 and above (for configuration)

Interface Connectors

1. Connect the power connector of the adapter to the power input on the DAP-X3060 and plug the adapter into a nearby power outlet.

Installation

The DAP-X3060 can be powered using one of the following two methods:
Using Power over Ethernet (PoE)
1. Use a standard Ethernet cable to connect the LAN port on the DAP-X3060 to a PoE power source device such as an 802.3at PoE switch or 802.3at PoE injector.

The DAP-X3060 is designed to be managed through Nuclias Connect. Refer to the Nuclias Connect Manual for detailed configuration instructions.
Manual Configuration
Note: D-Link recommends manually configuring the device before mounting it. The management computer, DHCP server and DAP-X3060 must be in the same subnet.
Use one of the following methods to access the web user interface:
Connecting through Ethernet
1. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the DAP-X3060 to the management computer, or to the switch or router the management computer is connected to.
2. Manage the access point from a computer. Enter dapx3060.local in the address field of your browser.
3. Log in to the administration user interface. The default login information is

Connecting Wirelessly
1. Connect the management computer to the default SSID of the DAP-X3060, “dlink”.
2. Manage the access point from a computer. Enter dapx3060.local in the address field of your browser.
3. Log in to the administration user interface. The default login information is

Mounting on a Solid Wall or Ceiling 5. Rotate the DAP-X3060 into the grooves
on the mounting plate to secure it to the plate.

Mounting with Ceiling Brackets

1. Use the mounting plate to mark the location where to drill the holes in the wall or ceiling.
2. Drill holes on the markings and place the included anchors into the drilled holes.
3. Align and place the mounting plate on top of the anchors and use the included screws (4×25.4 mm) to secure the mounting plate to the surface.
4. Plug the Ethernet cable into the LAN (PoE) port of the device. Note: If you are powering the device with a power adapter, plug the adapter into the Power Input port.

Appendix – Statements
ErP Power Usage
This device is an Energy Related Product (ErP) that automatically switches to a power-saving Network Standby mode within 1 minute of no packets being transmitted. It can also be turned off through a power switch to save energy when it is not needed. Network Standby: 6.6000 watts
