Before using the Hero Medical Standard Seat Walker, ensure the weight capacity of 140kg is not exceeded. Complete safety checks before each use to prevent malfunctions and injuries.

Avoid exposing the seat walker to extreme temperatures to prevent damage. Operate the walker on even surfaces to avoid tipping over.

Safety & Precautions
Weight Capacity
The maximum safety weight limit for the seated walker is 140kg and must not be exceeded. If the maximum safety weight limit is exceeded, this can increase the risk of damage to the seat walker and/or risk of serious injury to the user and others.
User Safety
To ensure user safety, it is highly recommended that the below safety checks are completed prior to each use of the seat walker:
- The brakes are functional.
- Castors do not show signs of wear and tear.
- The backrest, seat, hand grip, storage bag, and other removable parts are properly attached to the seat walker.
- Ensure the backrest is securely locked into position before use – make sure pushbuttons are firmly protruding before leaning against the backrest.
Note: Failure to complete the above safety checks may result in seat walker
malfunction and has the potential to cause injury to the user and others.
Exposure to Weather
Avoid exposure to hot or cold temperatures for extended periods, as it can
cause parts of the seated walker to become very hot or cold. This can result
in an increased risk of damage to the seat walker and/or risk of injury to the
user and others.
Uneven Terrain
Operating the seat walker on uneven terrain increases the risk of the seat
walker tipping over. Only operate on even and solid surfaces.
Intended Use
The seat walker is designed to be used as a walking aid. Before sitting on the
seat walker, please apply brakes and ensure it is on even ground. Breakages
and injuries may occur as a result of an attendant pushing an occupant on a
seat walker is extremely dangerous.

Product Assembly
- Unboxing the seat walker
- Comes with two main components, the frame and the backrest bar
- Place seat walker into standing position by pressing down on centre aluminium bar
- Remove items from storage bag
- Attaching backrest
- Inset backrest into designated slots so that push buttons are facing outwards
- Push holes in and continue to insert backrest until buttons securely lock into holes
- Attaching handles
- Insert handle into frame receiver with handles facing inwards for palm comfort
- Select desired handle height and thread bolt from the inside hole to meet plastic washer and plastic hand screw on the outside
- Securing brake cables
- Use a plastic clip that is attached to the brake cable and clip onto the aluminium frame
Folding the Seat Walker
- Pull metal bar situated under the seat
- This will bring up the aluminium bar connecting front and rear wheels
- Reverse for unfolding, ensuring frame has been fully extended before using
Using the Brakes
The seat walker features handbrakes with an integrated locking function to provide optimal control and safety for the user.
- To apply the brakes when in motion, pull the handbrake lever towards the handle and release to disengage brakes.
- To lock the brakes when the seat walker is parked, push the handbrake lever down until it locks. To release the brakes, pull the handbrake lever towards the handle.
- To adjust the tension of the brakes, tighten or loosen the tension adjustment nut (located at the end of the brake cable above the rear wheels). Adjusting the tensions of the brakes ensures the safe operation of the brakes when in use.
Sitting on the Seat Walker
- Visually inspect walker to ensure there is no visible damage before sitting on walker.
- Please ensure that the hand brakes are in the locked position by following the steps listed in applying brakes.
- Please ensure you are on a stable surface.
- Turn facing backwards the walker and hold both handles firmly, move back until your legs touch the walker and slowly lower yourself onto the walker.
- Please ensure that your weight is centered and not to sway your body weight from side to side.
WARNING: Do not use seat walker as a wheelchair aid.

- Name and code for the product

Product Care & Maintenance
- It is recommended that the seat walker is inspected regularly for signs of wear and tear of the castors, seat or backrest.
- If there are visible signs of wear and tear, please contact your authorised dealer for replacement parts.
- Please ensure the brakes are tested prior to each use.
- If exposed to water or moisture, promptly dry the seat walker to prevent corrosion of the frame.
- The seat walker should be wiped down regularly using warm water or a mild detergent.
- Only clean your seat walker with soft cleaning implements such as soft sponges, dish clothes and soft-bristled brushes. Warning, using sharp cleaning tools or similarly abrasive cleaning products could cause damage to your seat walker.
- Clean wheels with a mild detergent and warm water, removing hair and other dirt from axles.
- Lubricate with multi-purpose oil annually or if wheels begin to squeak.
- All replacement parts as well as after-sales support and repair services are available through Hero Medical dealers.

Please follow the local government rules regarding proper recycling and disposal. It should always be done through an authorised agent or licensed place of disposal. Please review the list of seat walker parts and packaging materials to ensure they are recycled or disposed of correctly.

Warranty
The Hero Medical Standard Seat Walker comes with 12 months warranty from the date of purchase on structural integrity.
- During the warranty period any parts that have become defective due to faulty workmanship or material will be repaired or replaced without charge by a Hero Medical dealer of where the product was purchased.
- The warranty is for normal domestic use only and excludes any defect or injury caused by or resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, accidental damage, or any other alteration that affects the reliability or performance of the unit, not attributable to faulty manufacture, parts or labour.
- The warranty excludes castors, components and parts that are subject to reasonable wear and tear.
- The warranty excludes faults that have been identified as misuse or user error.
- Unauthorized changes or modifications will forfeit your warranty.
- If a defect or fault is discovered, the Hero Medical dealer of where the seat walker was purchased should be contacted immediately.
